Adv and Doubles are staples of LPL and their community development is undeniable at this point so it is a non brainer to include them which appears to be on the majority

As much as I’ve had with LLL I don’t think there is enough of a invested playerbase of UU/RU/Ubers to make it worth bringing into this tournament as it will most likely lack the quality as they won’t bring the new players and probably will just be people who could regularly play an SV 4 slot


On bo3 tho, here is where the opportunity lies, we can have an SCL level slot just by giving it 2 points worth it on a 11 slots tournament insteads of 12 slot we would reach our inclusivity goal while still providing a great source of entertainment( which always should be a goal of tournaments ).

Imagine the best Lc players going toe to toe every week with a very decisive must watch series weekly, this is just too good not to try if this slot ain’t a sucess( which I highly doubt it)we can just include UU and RU for the next interaction

Remember people wanted Lcwc and we are giving them this, let it at least be The funniest and most hyped experience possible so

Ngl, this tournaments feels like a last minute decision. I Will be signing up for it, but like, why exactly did we do lcpl 2 with no notice, no explanation on what is on play and no confirmation of why is it here/how this affects future events?
 
I like the idea of rotating tiers as it adds an extra element that sets this apart from LCPL other than probably more CG and balance at the top end with the snake portion. I also biasly like DPP and I guess by extension even though I don't really play it ADV because they are fundamentally different tiers being No Evio, and Pre PhySpec split in ADV's case.

With such large rosters, this needs to be made FUN, otherwise people just aren't going to be invested. Like the care of LPL is low when it's coming off the back of LCPL, and then throwing this in the mix straight after is likely to be very fatiguing, especially if people are going to have to support building in even more slots if this is to be a competitive team tourney, which is really should be.

To that end I support the following format.

SV Suspect
SS
USUM
ORAS
BW
DPP
ADV
DLC
LCUU
Rotating New Gens Format (SV, SV Sus, DLC, LCUU, SS)
Rotating Old Gens Format (USUM, ORAS, BW, DPP, ADV)

Plenty of the tiers are jump in and play. SV, SV Suspect, DPP, ADV, DLC, LC UU are all able to be jumped in, or people like to dabble with them enough that it keeps pilots fresher and they all are things with either easy support or scope to do fun experiments.

Bottom line is, this has to be fun for people to care enough. LCWC has the prestige to make people care, this has to find another angle.

In my opinion, the 12 slots tour should be:

3 SV / SS / SM / XY / BW / DPP / ADV / DLC / UU / Multigens Bo3 (SV/SS/SM)

The first 8 slots mirror those of LCPL (which seems to be the basis of this tour according to the host and managers signups). The last 4 slots should be towards making this tour stand out from its LCPL roots and not doubling down on the "LCPL 2.0" sentiment that is already being felt and expressed by the people in this thread and discord. The four new slots that I would add are ADV, DLC, LC UU, and Multigens Bo3. I don't want to write a whole paragraph again on why these individual tiers should be included (because a lot of people have made very compelling reasoning and valid points on their inclusion; read this thread if u r interested), so I will just summarize my thoughts. I think ADV and DLC have the strongest, active playerbases + well-polished metagames, UU has a strong claim as a previous LCPL tier + fits into the "fun" aspect of this tour + have a relatively active fanbase, and Multigens Bo3 is a unique slot with a chance to see high-level players duke it out + has a presence in the format of PLs for other tiers like Ubers. I'm gonna argue against the inclusion of a SV4 slot because it doesn't add any depth or fun to the tour and is a generic slot; I know other people don't feel the same way, but 3 SV slots feel balanced and not overbearing.
 
I think this is the optimal format ADV and DLC are a must big community’s with a whole lot of support LCUU I’m not sure about but I’d like to see it and a BO3 slot in over more SV GSC and RBY are out of the question they aren’t developed enough for them to be a viable option I could see RBY being ok in the future but not now with its current backing and little coliseum is an OM I don’t think it has a place here

stop making bo3s the latest 3 gens!! this is stupid.

bo3 should look like this:
  • sv locked
  • each player picks a tier on each side, up for debate if this would be better when submitting lineups or after (much like a tb style pick)

this is far more entertaining because it provides more variety week to week and matchup to matchup

and forces your bo3 player to be actually the best possible player who can cover multiple slots. the idea that bo3 is a sacred fair balanced matchup between two good players is silly when it's a flex slot and you should be advocating for your strongest tier vs your opponent every time. bw players can force someone weaker than them to play it for example, while vice versa they are forced to play fairy gen ss which they might not be as good at. sv is the holy equalizer and also saves you the trouble of figuring out a 3rd slot, unless you wanna be funny and let the host decide but then eseque picks dpp each week LOL


tl;dr make bo3 great again
 
Make bo3 SV / DPP / DLC you cowards.

I stand again that this tour should be looking for an identity outside LCPL but more players.

And so I suggest that this either needs to have mostly SV and lean towards LCWL style, or have very little SV and be more like RCoP style. Choose
 
Here is my opinion on the tiers topic, keeping in mind that this tour's whole thing is inclusivity:
As much as I would love it if we could play bo3 or even suspect slots here, I do not think those follow the inclusivity principle at all. The masses won't sign up to play best of 3 old gens or aipom/whatever sv suspect slot, because those aren't that unique. They don't sell.
I do think DLC (doubles lc) and ADV LC are a must, as many others have already expressed. These have very unique playerbases that would probably not sign up otherwise. Regarding LC UU, it's not the worst inclusion, I wouldn't be opposed but I don't actively want it either, I'm neutral. I am, however, opposed to the idea of OMs like Little Colosseum or whatever here. I hate to be this elitist because I'm the first one to hate on people that hate on tiers with less clout, but I think OMs are stretching it too much sorry x

Shing might be the best person to comment on this given he's been offering bo3 the entire tour iirc, but given I've played / am offering bo3 I'll say that I don't think it should be bo3 by default. The tier isn't uniquely uncompetitive or anything of the sort to warrant being bo3 by default if none of the other tiers are, I personally played bo3 because I enjoy the tier and prefer bo3, not for any gripes with the tier's competitiveness.

Strongly support the inclusion of ADV, it's more than ready for an LC subforum teamtour. No opinion on other tiers.

How? This 3 metas are really different from each other. The only common constant on then is the foo vulla core, but sm is the most insane lc tier that there is, ss is one of the more interesting lc tiers to look at and sv is very much different from all the other ones, since ters, no digglet, toed and tink make a huge impact in the meta
 
Crazy how people tried to report me / complain / get angry for a stupid AI logo meme when there are more serious problems not taken in consideration like people being racist or having a bad attitude / insulting others. Get a life and enjoy this tour please.
 
I'm fine with most formats if I play, but absolutely do not run 1 tera per team.

also don't run tera banned unless you're willing to separate that format from standard sv lc banlist. tera preview is hype but unnecessary

my favored format would be:

LCPL tiers

ADV LC

Doubles LC

2 of SV 4, second of whatever the most popular oldgen happens to be, bo3 where players pick tiers, and lcuu
 
As a long standing community member who tries to be friendly with everyone I hate to see two players I respect get into a spat and I'd love to help you resolve your differences. Laroxyl Kaboom I'd like to invite both of you over for dinner, intentional and honest conversation, and (most importantly) a cathartic round of Turtles in Time. You'll need to work together to beat the pirate ship level!
 
supporting lcpl tiers + sv4, adv and doubles

as already been said, adv and doubles will get players from 2 another commnuities that usually wouldnt join a standard 8 slots LCPL/LCWC tournament
as for sv4, we will get another SV slot which gives newer players who are on LC ladder better chances on getting drafted and also being that SV has the biggest playerbase because it's CG


for the last slot, i'm not sure on which one works best in my opinion but i rly liked gawain's bo3 so if others agree it would be super fun to have it
