Custom Ability Megas
Vibrant for Lucario Z and Chimeco: Boost sound and Dance atacking move by 30%, moves that rise/decrese stats does it by 1 more (Sword Dance now is +3) and moves that are status efects without boost are unchanged
Dragon Asault for garchomp: Dragon Moves does Neutral Damage to Fairy and Steel and cannot miss
Great Explosion for Heatran: Eruption and Water Spout always dos the same damage, and Explosion Moves bypass protection
Eerie Eye for Meowstic: keen eye + ignore move inmunities (Psychic hit dark, ghost hit normal, electric hit ground)
Soul fuel to Magearna: boost 10% special atck by each fainted alied (like supreme overlord)
General for tatsugiri: Same as Comandar in doubles but in singles each time it swich, the opponent pokemon lose -2 in one random stats and the user is boosted in another random stats

Reason
Chimeco is a bell and lucario acn make heavy noises like Kommo'o with him arms, and Dance when fighting
Dragon assault because it is basucaly more Dragon than before (i cannot explain this with Word but basicaly it regret it ground and water origins to embrace the dragon power)
Great explosion is obvius and is not exclusive to heatran, can be granted to megacamerutp
Eerie eye is the natural evolution of keen eye and miracle eye and is reference to bloodsaluna mind eye
Soul fuel is a re work consent of soul heart and pair of the dark Steel kingambit
Tatsugiri ability is to make it independient lf Dondozo in singles as is think there no double battles in z-a and a general is a rank high than commander
Another time if gonna come for existing abilities
Edit: Meowstic instead gain Neuropersection, the same turn as the user use a status move, it take half damage from incoming atacks that turn, the reason of this chance is maybe Eerie Eye may by a combination of a move and ability both genders have, is a more offense ability oriented combined with the highests stats being now special atck instead of speed mean this a more gynomorph mega, so i decide to change the idea to make it have a utility ability to basicaly it have from male gender a status boost similar to prankster is used as male normal meowstic is used as a bulky support and thanks to have more speed, it not longer need the ability and now instead of invert in both defense to resist hit, it now do it automatly, and because some of the status move it learn are offense oriented like thunder wave, nasty plot and stealh rocks it could then abuse it now over 140 satk and higher speed to obliterate the opponent.Basicaly has the female and male playstyle because can hit pretty Hard without need intimidate skill swap and adrenaline orb and can use it support tactics with less ricks and without being blocked by dark type inmunity to prankster

as a reminder: custom abilities are not being considered for the time being please stop suggesting them.

Mega Evolution: Mega Meowstic
New Ability: Boundary Breaker
Ability Description: Mold Breaker + Neuroforce
Reasoning: A custom abiltiy to work with both the usual roles of Male and Female Meowstic, Mold Breaker is not only an offensive tool but it doubles as bypassing the likes of Good as Gold and Magic Bounce, extra important as they gained hazards in ZA, while Neuroforce amps their special attack to work at its best while spamming coverage, something the female's movepool heavily appreciates.

Mega Evolution: Mega Crabominable
New Ability: Raging Boxer
Ability Description: Parental Bond Clone that only affects Physical moves (Crabominable cannot learn Seismic Toss or any set damage moves)
Reasoning: Genuinely one of the few abilities that could keep this guy viable and would be fitting given its description as prone to anger and fast at punching, though slow at moving.
Replacement abilities, because I realized the rule of custom abilities.

Mega Evolution: Mega Meowstic
New Ability: Mold Breaker
Reasoning: Fits the flavor of having amazing power while helping it wallbreak with Nasty Plot or serve a utility role with Spikes/Stealth Rock (which it for some reason gained in ZA) against Magic Bounce users

Mega Evolution: Mega Crabominable
New Ability: Tough Claws
Reasoning: Realistically it could be Iron Fist but given its newly given massive Ice Claws, the ability feels fitting. ZA gifted it Mach Punch and with the power it packs, while not the best choice, it hits extremely hard and would reward people for how hard it is to get it on the field and attack.

For Mega-Raichu X, I suggest Levitate, because he literally flying like Superman in-game, thanks to his electricity.
It's not a bad choice since it removes his talent and it will go very well with his bulk gain.
Probably it won't be viable but, hey, not all megas will be good anyway.

:raichu: X Levitate
:Raichu: Y Motor Drive or some shit is probably fine
:Chimecho: Levitate or Punk Rock depending on what you're trying to do
:Absol: It could get Pressure and still be fine
:Staraptor: Reckless
:Garchomp: Levitate
:Lucario: Mega Launcher and Mega Launch it to Uber
:Heatran: Earth Eater for funny
:Darkrai: No Guard and send it to Uber
:Golurk: No Guard is probably cool, otherwise idk
:Meowstic: Protean or Psychic Surge
:Crabominable: Ice Scales, Fur Coat, Tough Claws idk
:Golisopod: Regenerator scares me, even with Battle Armor it'd have some sort of niche but ig Natural Cure?
:Magearna: Soul-Heart, Uber
:Zeraora: Tough Claws or Iron Fist or anything, Uber
:Scovillain: Drought
:Glimmora: Merciless
:Tatsugiri: I don't know
:Baxcalibur: Thermal Exchange, Intrepid Sword, as you wish, I think it's getting banned to Uber

I don't have any suggestions for the new mega's. But since we're not doing custom abilities anymore i think MMeganium should get Triage back. with the Z megas there are now a lot more fast frail Mega's for its priority giga drain to revenge kill, i think it would be a good addition to the meta.

Hello everyone, I’m new here. I just really thought that it should be pointed out that Golurk learns the move fissure via tm in z-a, as a no guard Pokemon. Depending on how it gets ruled, the mega may be entirely irrelevant to Golurk’s effectiveness.

252+ SpA Meganium-Mega Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tera Dragon Garchomp: 83-98 (23.2 - 27.4%) -- 66.7% chance to 4HKO
252+ SpA Meganium-Mega Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Lucario: 97-114 (34.5 - 40.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Meganium-Mega Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Absol: 219-258 (80.8 - 95.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
The only Z Mega Meganium could realistically revenge kill with Triage is Absol.
Not like it matters. Absol and Lucario likely will be banned because of their over the top stats, and Garchomp being pure Dragon means Meganium barely hurts it with Giga Drain.
Plus Flower Veil is going to be more useful now that Glimmora is back and Mortal Spin is being distributed to more Pokemon.

OHKO moves are banned. So this would only affect VGC and BSS.

Let's give new Mega Evolutions abilities! I am pitching a few abilities that I think each new Mega may be able to receive and utilize to the best of their ability without being too hard to rationalize flavor wise. Shout out to users like StardustSpy and Mjilnor for pitching some useful options.

Also can we PUHLEASE free Hidden Power, Toxic and the rest of the items.
:Raichu:
Raichu X
60.135.95.90.95.110 (BST: 585)

Let's get the elephant out of the way. The ability to float off the ground via electromagnetism has been heavily marketed with this Pokémon, it is showcased not only in its key art but in sprites in game. Levitate imo is clearly THE ability that Gamefreak wants for this Pokémon, and on a guy with a pure Electric typing, in theory this isn't awful. Unfortunately the painful truth of the matter is that Raichu is extremely hard to justify as a Mega Zapper even with Levitate, it has no way to boost its physical attack, and is still outclassed by a majority of Electric Pokémon and even it's twin Mega Raichu Y. So I think we have a few options. Transistor would be a quick way to immediately amp up its damage output of its STAB move of choice, making Volt Tackle really strong. However, personally I don't think this is the path. The following two abilities imo are the best bet. Electric Surge allows Raichu to not only hit just as hard with Volt Tackle, but facilitates mixed sets that can abuse the extremely potent Rising Voltage as well, making it a good "mixed" attacker. However in my opinion, the BEST option would be to grant Mega Raichu X with Galvanize. Mega Raichu gets access to both Fake Out and Extreme Speed in Legends ZA, which would make it the sole user of -ate FakeSpeed in the tier, making Raichu hold a role of being a potent priority based revenge killer in the tier. This immediately sets it apart from all FIVE pure Electric Megas that are on the table right now. So I am standing behind Galvanize.

:Raichu:
Raichu Y
60.100.55.160.80.130 (BST: 585)

Raichu is funny. It's potentially a broken Pokémon here based on stats + movepool, but it's ability can decidedly be a balancing factor. Lightning Rod is technically an option, but that is lame and poopy. Transistor here would fit here as well, and arguably fits Raichu Y better than X, and would make Raichu extremely powerful with its STAB Thunderbolt. However this might go stupid broken as Raichu has plenty of colourful coverage. Electric Surge is also something that could be done, with similar results to Transistor, but also opens the idea of Rising Voltage, which is a lot more problematic here than it is on Raichu X or even Eelektross. Electric Surge definitely should be avoided. Honestly, Transistor or Lightning Rod in my opinion are the serious options to consider here.

:Chimecho:
Chimecho
75.50.110.135.120.65 (BST: 555)
Psychic/Steel

The two only options I would consider is either Levitate and Punk Rock. Levitate in my opinion is arguably the superior choice, as it gives insane defensive utility for it, naturally walling non Excadrill Ground types. However, the other two main Ground types in the tier either a) has popular coverage to hit it or b) have secondary STAB that smacks it regardless. Strong ability in theory, but has a few caveats. The other option is Punk Rock, mainly to evoke the sound flavor that has been heavily promoted with the Pokémon. What Punk Rock does practically is make Psychic Noise an actual STAB move and Boomburst into a good secondary coverage option thanks to its high SpA. However, Chimecho doesn't have any other Punk Rock boosted STAB nor coverage options, which makes the realistic usage of this ability rather scarse.

:staraptor:
Staraptor
85.140.100.60.90.110 (BST: 585)
Fighting/Flying

Scrappy in my opinion is the only option to make it worthwhile. Blocking Intimidate while being to smack Aegislash with Close Combat is pretty great. I've seen options like Adaptability or Tough Claws, but imo Scrappy is just the cleanest way to go about this guy here being great.

:heatran:
Heatran
91.120.106.175.141.67 (BST: 700)

I'm ready to pull the big Gun. Mega Heatran should have Earth Eater. It's designed to have eating be such a core part of its features I think Earth Eater may be a no brainer. Ofc with Earth Eater, Mega Heatran would instantly become one of the most powerful defensive pivots in the tier, mainly on how hard it would be to actually consistently damage it. If we ultimately deem this too strong, Flash Fire still works fine here, walling Fire types are fun.

:Darkrai:
Darkrai
70.120.130.165.130.85 (BST: 700)

I don't know how to handle base Darkrai low-key, but I believe Intimidate would be a solid way to bolster Darkrai as a pivot. 70/130/130 bulk backed by Intimidate makes it much more formidable of a defensive pivot. This also gives more justification over base Darkrai who seems to be very good as is. The flavor is simple - Mega Darkrai is like a Biblically Accurate Angel, that's intimidating. Ofc, the other option available imo would be Dark Aura. I am not usually a fan of sending out Legendary Sigs for Megas but being a Mythical makes Darkrai alot more palatable for receiving an ability like that. With Dark Aura Darkrai hits insanely hard with Pulse and Knock Off, the moves Darkrai would probably be using the most here. I think this is the next best thing if we slip on Intimidate.

:Golurk:
Golurk
89.159.105.70.105.55 (BST: 583)

Golurk feels like a free agent here, purely relying on just how viable we want this guy to be. I pitched Shadow Shield as an option to make Golurk a bulky menace, but no recovery nor reliable set up makes it less than equipped to fully abuse it. Adaptability was suggested by Runo, and I think its not that crazy of an option, makes Golurk a strong, strong wallbreaker to face. Analytic also fits flavor wise can can allow Golurk to abuse it's slow speed tier, even if some walls will ignore the effect. Weak Armor finally is an interesting applications as well, but like as I said, no form of set up makes this a less desirable option.

:Meowstic:
Meowstic
74.48.76.143.101.124 (BST: 566)

Magic Guard is the ability for Meowstic. It's Mega is the fusion of its utility and offensive variants, and Magic Guard feels like the perfect ability to encapsulate that. This allows it to serve as a solid offensive pivot and potential status absorber, while still being a strong wallbreaker. Perfect fit for a faster than Greninja Psychic to keep up with the strong power creep in this mod.

:Crabominable:
Crabominable
97.157.122.62.107.33 (BST: 578)

With Mach Punch in its arsenal it's not to argue for the classic Iron Fist to rear it's head here. It's flavorful, present on its base and would be used extremely well with options like Ice Hammer, Mach Punch and Drain Punch. Another fun option in my option is Stamina. Crabominable got a significant bulk increase from its base form, alloIt is very easy to argue for flavor wise, as these are Pokémon that climb mountains for a living. It's a shame custom abilities are frowned upon, because Mountaineer from CAP would have been excellent. So Iron Fist and Stamina in my opinions are big favourites to win.

:scovillain:
Scovillain
65.138.85.138.85.75 (BST: 586)

The immediate jump would be to run Chlorophyll, like his acid bag cousin. But ofc, this isn't reality, and Sun cannot be manually set here. The next best thing imo is to lean not only into its raw damage output as a mixed breaker, but to also into the Mob Boss ish design of its Mega Evolution, and to go with Stakeout. The flavor is sound, as I said, it fits the flavor motifs of previous Dark user Mabosstiff. But where this shines is competitive. This makes Scor extremely hard to switch into, essentially meaning once this is in, it would be hard pressed to convince me that it can't get a kill here. This is probably the only way to balance Stakeout as well so we should in my opinion definitely go for it.

:glimmora:
Glimmora
83.90.105.150.96.101 (BST: 625)

I've seen Toxic Debris, I've seen Merciless and I've seen Levitate all thrown out as good options for its ability. I agree with them all, I think these are the best options for a Mega ability it can have right now.

:tatsugiri:
Tatsugiri
68.65.90.135.125.92 (BST: 575)

Mega Launcher is in my opinion the only ability we should be considering if we want this to even be a sensible choice for a Mega Evolution. Dual STAB and Dark Pulse alone can justify its presence, and while it lacks the trade Aura Sphere quartet, I still think Tatsugiri should be considered with this to give it some grace. 127 BP Dragon STAB that doesn't force it out might be it's sole chance at a niche atp.
