We already have most the meta items, but are missing the fun niche ones and things like the weather rocks, terrain extenders, light clay, etc
, at LEAST the remaining items like weather rocks, terrain extender and light clay

I find this to be a baffling sentiment because all of these items are anti-skill and reduce player agencies. One of the reasons this meta is fun is exactly because screens and weather are largely absent. Weather promotes this gameplay where some pokemon get 100% speed and 50% power (or more) and the game comes down to stats rather than gameplay. Screens is even worse, imagine allowing light clay+M Magearna and every game is decided by stored power mage trying to boost up behind screens.

None of those items are fun for the opponent.

Tiering Changes:

:Zeraora: Mega Zeraora: Iron Fist -> Volt Absorb

Also we freed all the items that are legal in NatDex (except for the Z-moves lolol). Billions must have their Air Balloons popped.
Slightly sad, but IF boosted Plasma Fists was probably too crazy lmao.

THAT'S RIGHT BABY MEGA RAICHU X STOCKS JUST WENT SKYROCKETING INVEST NOW

I CAn kinda understand light clay (will probably be banned) but weather? Weather isn't that strong especially when most our weather setters aren't in the tier (no torkoal, no ninetales, no pelipper, etc) and the megas obviously can't hold the items. Weather has been pretty manageable since like gen 5 and the craziest weather abusers aren't in the tier anyway
I kinda liked the limited item pool. The tier is beginning to feel more like national dex, rather than ZA. Guess I need to remake every team I have now

Frankly the game already kinda felt more like nat dex than za anyways, with the lack of move buffs, one mega limit, nat dex movepools, hdb and choice items, etc. I think this is a good change, we will see how it turns out but definitely happy to see it happen for now at least

:Grapploct: This Pokemon is actually good now with the massive movepool buffs it got in ZA. Priority Mach Punch is super nice in this meta to revenge kill the various offensive guy's you'll see on ladder like Darkrai, Bax, Greninja, and Excadrill while Storm Throw is usually strong enough to pierce through defense raises from other cheesers like Corviknight, Skarm, Dozo, ID Magearna (you need to encore it first tho) etc. It does help that its main checks and counters like Slowbro, Cofagrigus, etc. aren't too popular (though Annhilape is extremely annoying). Pair it with pursuiters like Mega Darkrai, Ttar, or Krook, and it'll be even more free to cook imo. If I'm not mistaken, Band is the most popular set, but I think Fist plate is also plenty valid to not make it as exploitable while still jacking up its damage. Could run other utility moves over Bullet Punch on this set as well I think like Bulk Up or Pain Split.

Is it just me or mega Lucario unironically seems "weak" in this meta? 167 Spa is great but it's best moves are aura sphere and flash canon with 80 bp(focus miss is ass so it doesn't count). And it's a mon that needs to one shot otherwise it gets one shot with it's paper thin bulk among these nuke mons. Sure it can one shot after hazard setup and chip but most mons can fill that role while having more bulk like Garchomp Z

its a little but the alternative is it gets mega launcher and is banned so nobody can use it

they really gave luc two broken asf megas.

The lack of Adaptability means that its STAB moves do less damage than regular Mega Lucario's. And of course, the -10 Attack makes a physical set completely unviable for Lucario Z.

Mega Lucario Z is overall far more predictable and weaker when using physical or STAB moves. It only does more damage when using non-STAB moves.

I feel like instead of Mind's Eye, MLZ should instead receive Steelworker. The Pokedex goes out of its way to say that (referenced below) it's limbs receive condensed steel energy, and it would allow for better teambuilding, now that it would instead need to spread that moveset to non stab dark pulse or snarl to hit the ghosts that would check it.

I could be wrong, and I'm cool with being misled in my thoughts, but this feels like it fits better flavorwise and balancewise, and it still gets a spammable move that isn't overly broken, while also getting a little set variety with the potential of steel beam.

I think the problem with steelworker, and rocky payload in glimmora case, is these abilities are supposed to be used to make the pokemon with them (dhelmise and bombirdier) psuedo triple types. They aren't meant to be used as just damage boosting abilities.

We already have steely spirit if we want to give Lucario z something to boost steel damage. And for glimmora....idk maybe just give it adaptability? Similar damage as rocky payload for rock moves and I don't think the extra poison damage will be enough to break it
