SPOILERS! Legends ZA Data Dumps - Adding Info to OP

So looks like this would be the list of new megas?

017 0718 Zygarde 4 => 0 <--- heard this was getting it?
082 0670 Floette 6 => 5 <--- referencing doipy hooves post directly above this one

032 0036 Clefable 1 => 0
038 0121 Starmie 1 => 0
073 0478 Froslass 1 => 0
077 0545 Scolipede 1 => 0
078 0560 Scrafty 1 => 0
079 0604 Eelektross 1 => 0
080 0609 Chandelure 1 => 0
084 0689 Barbaracle 1 => 0
085 0691 Dragalge 1 => 0
089 0780 Drampa 1 => 0
090 0870 Falinks 1 => 0

Raichu also missing, so probably not in game until DLC.

This is a rad list of new Megas. Scrafty, Froslass, Chandelure, Eelektross, and Scolipede...count me in.

My only complaint is that I wish we had a new meme shitmon like Beedrill and Lopunny getting to join in - I would've either traded out Skarmory for Ariados or one of the Unova guys with Watchog
yeah I think the worst competitive mon in this list of new megas is falinks? I don't think it ever had any sort of niche in either singles or doubles

most unpopular in the west mon in this list is probably barbaracle (but its very popular in japan)

Additional fun bit is how including Diancie there are now 11 Kalos Megas. Given the relatively small roster this is actually near-exactly proportionally in line with Hoenn having 22 as of ORAS, right down to the starter trio and the third member of the legendary trio being included.

This number is definitely climbing higher btw. Given the existence of the aforementioned Mega Zygarde and Eternal Floette it seems all but guaranteed the DLC is gonna have Mega Hoopa

probably also a considerable chance for mega xerneas (vgc players just felt a chill down their spine) and yveltal

Part of me wonders if there will be more Alola/Galar/maybe even Paldea mons being giving Megas in the DLC.

I do think the two that were given Megas from post Gen 6 are interesting choices, they didn't go for the obvious popular picks like Dragapult or Mimikyu which I appreciate. Zeraora notwithstanding but still it reminds me the only Unova mega prior to this game was Audino of all things. (DLC ofc could give at least a few popular mons from Gens 7-9 a Mega but that'd be a bit too impulsive a guess for my standards)

Realized Swampert, Sceptile and Blaziken are not on the list of megas. Guess they're not in the game at all. So we're missing those 3, Rayquaza, and Groundon / Kyorge (technically primal not mega). But otherwise the rest of the megas look like they are returning, unless I missed some.

The Lati as well.

Giving Darkrai a Mega is the best way to apologize for nerfing Dark Void. It took 9 years for an apology, but it's such a good apology.

It can't be that bad if Xerneas has to hold a Mega Stone instead of Power Herb, right?

Calling it now, Mega Xerneas is going to have an Ability that lets it use two turn moves in one turn. :P

p sure it was “confirmed” a while ago that the Gen 3 megas were in the base game. So I imagine that any sort of extractable data we do have atm isn’t showing everything in relation to that

(I’m kinda suspecting they’re going to be ranked rewards)

If they just got rid of Neutral Mode I don't think anyone would really complain.

I’m kind of surprised it ever needed to be handled as an alternate form in the first place, but especially now I feel like they have the capability to have Neutral Mode just… be what it looks like outside of battle, the same way that Urshifu’s forms only become visually distinguishable when they’re in battle.

Anyway, if I'm reading this right...I think Zygarde going mega will be exclusive to the 50% Form? That should be Zygarde 0. Zygarde 4 would be Complete (iirc in the main games 0 = 50% Aura Break, 1 = 10% Aura Break, 2 = 50% Power Construct, 3 = 10% Power Construct) but there's not another listing to account for 10% turning Complete or Mega.
They might just not have the distinction between Power Construct and Aura Break versions given there's no abilities. Cause then 0 would be 50%, 1 would be 10%, 3 would be 50% Complete, and 4 would be 10% Complete. The reversion tables are only used if a Pokémon ends up in a form it shouldn't be able to be in outside of battle, they don't actually handle normal demegaing.
I would've either traded out Skarmory for Ariados or one of the Unova guys with Watchog
I'd rather those two stay open to get actually proper evos. Save the megas for like Dustox or Leavnny or other shitmons that are already in three stage lines.

Urshifu's forms are only actually different because of what animations they have, the models are exactly the same, hence why they look exactly the same when not in a combat stance. The model doesn't actually change like Xerneas does.

Could be. Maybe they are post release for the DLC like Raichu which is also missing from the files. Though if they do not have the mega evolution day 1, would the Pokemon themselves still be in? That is how it will be with Raichu, so I assume Gen 3 might be in day 1, just without their mega forms.

if there's no new moves then the mega chesnaught swinging its hammer/axe animation is probably just literally wood hammer lol

linking cord apparently not in the files

all the old megas are in except for rayquaza (and primal kyogre and groudon)
dragon ascent is in the files? but not usable? but rayquaza may or may not be?
The way they romanize developer codenames, it'd be TUNAGARI instead. Note that just behind the popup, you can see ガラナツブレス (Galarica Cuff) expressed as GARANATUBURESU, rather than GARANATSUBURESU.

The information came from the teraleak tho which had no in depth info on the DLC I don’t think- so I can still see them in there but I genuinely think they’ll be ranked rewards or just uncovered in the Day 1 patch / actual datamine

Yeah there was a lot of info floating around from the teraleak so it’s kind of hard to remember where some of this info came from, but I do remember it being said that the Kanto starters were gifts during the main story and the Hoenn starters were post game gifts.

fwiw I have a friend who speaks fluent Japanese and shot him a message about the new move. He'll likely get back to me in the afternoon (it's 1:30am for me right now and a bit later for him).

Also DHR-107 you should probably clarify that the data regarding Heatran, Darkrai, and Zeraora is for them having Mega Stones. The OP as written doesn't make that clear, especially since those Pokémon are not listed in the new form dump.

Any word yet on whether Pokeball Vivillon is available in some form (and/or how Vivillon patterns are handled in general - I don't think I've heard anything about that yet)?

Added discovered info to OP till this point

Will keep an eye out for anything new today.

Please tag me either here or on Discord if something dramatic happens.

ALSO: This is the spoiler thread - you don't need to hide tag or blur stuff you're posting.
Well now that we aren't playing coy anymore, here is the list of mega descriptions we recieved from the tera leak months ago, in spring. Note that this was from a beta version of the game in develipment that had said Zeraora was dropped, and that Chesnaugh's design actually changed since then, so dont take all of these as gospel

As you can see though, most of them are pretty accurate to what they described from the megas we saw. As soon as Mega Dragonite released we knew it was the real deal, but some like Mega Malamar wasnt done nearly enough justice. Who knows what the final designs shall be?
