Let's break the generic!

Hey guys! myith314 here, after playing enough showdown and seeing what the current mainstream picks are, I more or less devised a team that either counters most of or a fair portion of the "meta picks". I hope to make this into a video exhibiting it's potential, I'll most likely post a link to the vid as a reply, but without further delay, let's get crackin'!

Terror Wing (Aerodactyl) (F) @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Brave Nature
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Giga Impact
- Crunch

Ah yes, Aerodactyl, one of the series' swiftest since the very beginning. Let's start off with her Mega Evo, she kicks it off being the 6th fastest Pokemon with her Evo, losing only to Ninjask and Deoxys-Speed, tying with the likes of Mega Alakazam, and Normal and Attack Deoxys. 150 Base is not something to laugh at,combine that with a massive 135 Attack and Tough Claws makes for a potent slew of attacks. Sure he might not take the hardest punches in the world, but let's face it, one hard Giga Impact or Rock Slide is sure to leave a dent.

Yaminaki (Umbreon) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Mild Nature
- Moonlight
- Dark Pulse
- Toxic
- Confuse Ray

Umbreon is a very potent player in the field of tanks. 130 Sp Def and 110 Def are plenty enough to take a few hits, he can more or less shrug blows off with Moonlight and set up Poison and confusion in the midst. All while dealing counter damage to physical bruisers and giving status inflicters a taste of their own medicine. It's a wonder why no one considers him a contender for best Eeveelution.

Valkirai (Jolteon) @ Magnet
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naughty Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Thunder Wave

Jolteon, on the other hand, is commonly seen as one of the best Eeveelutions out there. And, who could blame him? 130 Speed and 110 Sp. Atk. make him plenty a sweeper, but lets try a new twist. Jolteon is a sweeper scout, meaning that although he hits plenty hard with Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball(for pesky grounds), sometimes it's more fun to just tag in a buddy with Volt Switch or a Thunder Wave or two on some really fast sweepers.

Hwangxiang (Gengar) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Toxic
- Psychic

Gengar, like Aerodactyl and Alakazam, finds himself as the O.G. of the OU tier from since the beginning. A special sweeper even to this day, more and more do people Mega Evo him for a kamikaze esq sweeper. I'm saying that the old bird deserves better, and decided to play into his favorite thing. Blowing everyone over with a solid 130 Sp. Atk and blowing by with a 110 Speed.

Longjintae (Garchomp) @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Crunch

Best physical sweeper ever. Oh Mega Kangaskhan? Mega Scizor? Heracross? Garchomp laughs and just demolishes anything standing in front of it. Unlike most physical sweepers adopted, except maybe Talonflame and Aerodactyl, Garchomp is wicked fast and even if there's a tank in front, you can assure that at least 1/5 of that bar's done in one shot.

Xingqi (Lucario) @ Lucarionite
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
- Aura Sphere
- Dragon Pulse
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake

Sometimes, Mega Aerodactyl just won't cut it. Thus was born Special Lucario...and yes SPECIAL. The main idea behind increasing his Sp Atk is to fully utilize Aura Sphere, not to mention that Mega Lucario gets bonus STAB off of an attack that never misses and has a base 60. Oh and Extremespeed pretty much blows by anything, even prankster, even fake out.

So there's my team. I refer to it as the anti-mainstream, mainly because most picks in the mainstream get counter-stomped or averted from sweeping. Here's a list of all of the "Mainstream Pokemon and their counter match.

Speed Boost Venipede:Aerodactyl(Mega or not)
Rotom(Any Form) :Jolteon, Garchomp
Poison Heal Gliscor: Ultimately anything with a massive burst
Mega Kangaskhan: Gengar or Lucario
Talonflame: Aerodactyl
Greninja: Lucario or Jolteon
Any tanks: Garchomp, Aerodactyl

So all in all, this team comp takes the cake on anything it takes on. I hope you enjoyed this. Thank so much for reading and I hope to have a video version of this real soon.

Cool team! Let's take a look at it a bit better, shall we?
First of all, Giga Impact is... Pretty meh, to be quite honest. It's not STABed, so it's not particularly strong, and makes you waste a turn, when two Crunches or two Rock Slides do more damage and don't let your opponent set up on you. I'd put Aerial Ace there, instead. You can also use Stone Edge over Rock Slide if you'd like, with more power at the cost of a bit of accuracy.
Furthermore, why a Brave Nature? An Adamant nature will keep her attack up, while not sacrificing her speed. I'd recommend it.

Your Umbreon's interesting, but Umbreon doesn't really have the best offensive stats; it's much better as a supporter and wall. Moonlight's actually not too shabby now, with rain and sand less prominent, and sans PokeBank, as you have only a few options without the PokeBank. With PokeBank, however, you get access to great moves like Heal Bell, Wish, Foul Play, and more. Still, a set of Toxic/Moonlight/Protect/Payback would do alright for now, with Payback doing decent damage due to Umbreon most likely going last, and having 100 Base Power if he does. Also, a Careful or Impish nature would be cool, for raising Special or Physical Defence, respectively.

Your Jolteon doesn't need a Naughty nature or any attack EVs - it has no physical moves. I'd recommend Modest if you'd like more power on your Jolteon, or Timid to outrun fast threats like Noivern and Starmie and smack them hard with powerful moves.

Gengar has a lot of options, and your moveset's pretty decent. Unfortunately, his bulk isn't really good enough for Toxic, as that slowly whittles down health, and Psychic's not the greatest attacking type ever. Thankfully, you have options, and an excellent nature and EV set.
Focus Blast is good for hitting any steels, and has perfect coverage with Shadow Ball, though it has low accuracy.
Sludge Bomb is a great secondary STAB that also hits faeries hard, but has little use outside of that. It's still really strong neutrally, though, even moreso than Shadow Ball!
Dazzling Gleam can be used to smash dragons, fighters, and darks.
Substitute greatly eases prediction, helps protect Gengar from status moves, and helps him maximize Black Sludge's potential.
Disable lets you prevent a foe from using its last move, potentially screwing them up as a counter; what's Tyranitar gonna do to you if it can't Pursuit you? This move works best with Substitute.
Finally, Destiny Bond lets you take a foe out with you when you know Gengar's time is up.

Your Garchomp's good. I'd recommend Swords Dance instead of Outrage, or perhaps Poison Jab to get through faeries if they're bugging you.

Hmm... Your Lucario's interesting, but whaddup with Dragon Pulse? Dragon has pretty poor neutral coverage, it's not a great move to have unless you're a dragon yourself. Furthermore, what exactly are you trying to hit and do with Earthquake? I'd like to suggest a set, but I can't really know what to do unless you have a purpose...
And yes, Special Mega Lucario is definitely good.

Yo!

Thanks for some really sick ideas! I decided to rework some of the move pools so that I can work with some of your ideas, and trying a few new ones. As for Lucario, I decided to give him Vacuum Wave and Dark Pulse while keeping ExtremeSpeed and Aura Sphere. My main objective with him is to either A: Beat the slower tanks with a flurry of never missing Aura Spheres and Dark Pulses. or B: Troll by moving first with Vacuum Wave or ExtremeSpeed

Hey!

Ah I'm sorry, the video was an update to the original post, so the video has a more recent version of the team. That regards to Aerodactyl and Gengar for the most part. As for Umbreon, I have a preference of raising both defensive stats and using her as my tank since she's intended to be more of a "troll tank", a type of tank that has never been used extensively.
