Ok I tested it for quite a bit and I feel it's worthy of a set. I'm doing this cos the Liepard analysis that Punchshroom is doing doesn't have this

Why this set deserves to be onsite:
Over Volbeat:
- can check Jynx, Kadabra, and Gardevoir, troublesome threats to weather teams
- immunity to Psychic gives it more opportunities to switch in and set up rain
- not weak to SR
- can attack back with Sucker Punch
- access to Taunt (minor, but something to note I guess)
- greater Speed means it can set up rain or sun against faster priority opponents that Volbeat loses to eg. Zangoose, Pinsir
- pairs well with Volbeat since it's the next best weather setter, and since it's one of the better weather setters I don't see why it shouldn't get a set

name: Weather Support
move 1: Rain Dance / Sunny Day
move 2: Encore
move 3: U-turn
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Damp Rock / Heat Rock
ability: Prankster
nature: Jolly
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Liepard's access to Prankster makes it a perfect choice to set up weather for weather teams. While Liepard faces competition from Volbeat as a weather setter, its immunity to Psychic-type moves gives it more opportunities to switch in and set up. Unlike Volbeat, it also has decent Attack and Speed to strike back against frailer foes and can defeat Kadabra and Gardevoir, both of which threaten weather teams. Its Speed stat also allows it to set up weather against faster opponents with priority moves, such as Pinsir and Zangoose, unlike Volbeat. Rain Dance or Sunny Day would depend on whether you are using a rain or sun team. Encore is a great move to punish Psychic-types, status spreaders, and Kangaskhan using Fake Out, locking them into undesirable moves and getting a free opportunity to set up weather in the process. U-turn allows Liepard to gain momentum on switches and threaten Kadabra and Exeggutor. Finally, Sucker Punch is Liepard's most powerful move to punish faster opponents that think they can beat it. It also works well with Encore punishing opponents that try to avoid Sucker Punch by using a status move.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EV spread allows Liepard to outspeed Kadabra and Speed tie at worst with other Liepard, but a more specially defensive EV spread can be used for an easier time setting up against Ghost-types. Thunder Wave is an option to spread paralysis, crippling threats to weather teams such as Kangaskhan, but that is best left to Volbeat. Taunt is a decent alternative move, preventing opponents from using entry hazards. This could prove useful due to rain teams' weakness to Toxic Spikes and sun teams' weakness to Stealth Rock. Foul Play can be used over Sucker Punch to potentially deal more damage. Pursuit is also another option to defeat fleeing Psychic-types and ensure that these Pokemon trouble the team. It also catches out opponents fleeing after being Encore-locked into an unfavorable move.

Volbeat is a great partner and fellow supporter of weather teams. In combination with Volbeat, Liepard can almost ensure the weather consistently stays up throughout the game. Other weather inducers, such as Rotom-S, Regirock, Gardevoir, and Illumise, are appreciated to take the pressure off Liepard and aid in setting up weather. Teammates that take advantage of their respective weather are essential. For rain teams, Pokemon with Swift Swim or Hydration are good users of rain. For example, Ludicolo, Seismitoad, Carracosta, Mantine, Gorebyss, Floatzel, and Swanna can take advantage of rain very well. Meanwhile, Chlorophyll users and Fire-types can take advantage of the sun. This includes Exeggutor, Shiftry, Sawsbuck, Victreebel, Rapidash, and Charizard. Weather teams in general dislike entry hazards, more so for rain teams with Toxic Spikes and sun teams with Stealth Rock. This is because Toxic Spikes easily wears down rain teams while Fire-types that are omnipresent on sun teams are weak to Stealth Rock Garbodor is a good Toxic Spikes absorber, and it can set up entry hazards of its own to aid in its team's sweep. Mold Breaker Sawk is useful for sun teams to get rid of opposing Stealth Rock users. Finally, Torkoal and Armaldo are decent Rapid Spin users for sun and rain teams respectively.

[SET COMMENTS]

- faces competition from Volbeat
- immunity to Psychic sets it apart, allowing it to check troublesome foes for weather teams such as Gardevoir, Jynx, & Kadabra
- also good speed lets it attack back against these foes as well as set up weather in front of fast priority
- rain dance and sunny day support weather teams
- Encore defeats setup sweepers, Psychic-types, Kanga's Fake Out, and gives Liepard a free turn for weather
- U-turn lets it gain momentum vs things like Kadabra and Eggy, lets it bring in a sweeper if it u-turns on a switch
- Sucker Punch lets it punish faster threats who think they can beat it, is Liepard's most powerful move and works well with Encore

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

- EV spread outspeeds Kadabra
- more specially defensive EV spread it possible to set up vs Ghost-types
- Thunder Wave can check Kangaskhan and other fast Pokemon but that's best left to Volbeat
- Taunt, it's also good for sun teams since they're more weak to sr as well as prevent toxic spikes which is nice for rain teams
- Foul Play
- Pursuit, can trap Psychic-types or other fleeing opponents after Encore
- Volbeat is a good partner and the 2 allow weather to be constantly up
- other weather inducers can take pressure off Liepard such as Rotom-S, Gardevoir, Regirock, Illumise
- good partners are those that abuse rain or sun
- Ludicolo, Gorebyss, Seismitoad, Carracosta, and Swanna are good rain abusers, Eggy, Sawsbuck, Victreebel, Rapidash, and Charizard are good sun abusers
- things to aid weather teams are nice especially a way to remove toxic spikes
- Scolipede and Garbodor can do this
- Torkoal and Armaldo are good spinners for sun and rain
- Mold Breaker Sawk removes stealth rock users that sun teams dislike

LOL that was fast

But yeah, I do definitely like this set and I feel it deserves to be on-site. It's a nice backup weather supporter that can check Psychic-types significantly easier than Volbeat and isn't weak to SR so it has an easier time switching in and out. Also, its usefulness isn't limited to just setting up weather; it can disrupt momentum with Encore and revenge kill with Sucker Punch, and its faster Speed lets it Encore more things. Higher Speed also lets it guarantee weather in clutch situations, which makes it just as (if not more) dependable.

[SET]
 • Idrk if Pursuit should be slashed or not. I've used it and it works fine, but the real question is /when/ would I find the time to use it? If you manage to Encore something into an unfavorable move, I would much rather use that free turn to set up weather than to Pursuit something, and if weather was already set up you could just U-turn out into a sweeper while not wasting rain / sun turns. It's probably more of AC material imo.
Everything else looks fine to me, so just make that change and I'll stamp scorpdestroyer

- EV spread outspeeds Kadabra so that it can pursuit it for major damage even if it doesn't switch

might wanna take this out of AC since it isnt a move in the set any more

- Pursuit can trap Psychic-types or other fleeing opponents after Encore

also make it clear this is an alternative option for the set, as they way its said here makes it seem like its still a move shown for the set.

The EV spread allows Liepard to outspeed Kadabra and Speed tie at worst with other Liepard (I'm pretty sure this spread outspeeds Kadabra by 3 points, so there's a little more Speed than necessary to do that; I don't know whether it makes more sense to move a few EVs out of Speed or add a mention like this though, so I'll leave that up to you), but a more specially defensive EV spread can be used for an easier time setting up against Ghost-types.
