List with the most used Pokemon in the new metagame, based in the RTM Subforums

Well, if that's the case, I'll make a giveaway soon. Mantyke, you helpin'? Ph03n!x's Shaymin? Ph03n!x-Br's Shaymin? Pnx's Shaymin? Bad @ naming.

But I won't do it that soon, I'm having very busy weeks. Also, my birthday / Metroid Prime 3 is / are coming :naughty:

Moving on to Shaymin, man. You gotta use Seed Flare in Donphan, it's simply awesome. It also lols at Ice Shard and it's Substitute doesn't fall to one Earthquake. It's actually bulkier than I thought.

Hope you want a HP Electric Feebas, because sooner or later, I'll offer it for your Shaymin, after reading the bolded part.

You hate Donphan too? Cool!

Either a good Feebas or that Mesprit in your thread will do. Don't call me a retarded, but I run Scope Lens Shaymin. It works, and OHKO things that would otherwise be 2HKO'd (Heracross is a good example). SubRestCure is good too, if you need some health and get Sub in the switch. Or you can just Seed Flare Blissey to death (40% SpDef drop and Critical Hits = dead Blissey. I think it's a 2HKO if 2 Criticals and a SpDef drop)

You can bust through Blissey pretty easily with CSpecs Shaymin. From my experience it's a guaranteed 3HKO and even with no EVs in its defenses/HP, it shrugs off Ice Beams nice and easily. Then if it gets too tired, switch out, switch it back in, Rest, switch out and then it's fully healed and not sleeping thanks to natural cure...sooooo nifty! =D

Also, I'm wondering what's up with that INSANE rise in Vaporeons...it got more growth than friggin Heracross ehh, even though Heracross has been collecting dust compared to all the other standards, it's still used a lot.

Just keep in mind NOT to trade the one for the Breeding Program, ok? ;)

/offtopic

Heracross going down doesn't surprise me. Look at the ammount of Dusknoir, Togekiss, and Gliscor.

Timid Shaymin do 32.10% maximum to 704/306 Blissey. Modest Shaymin does 35.23% max. That is not a 3HKO taking into account Leftovers. However, the sharp Special Defense drop can be very, very deadly.

Well, Vaporeon is a great Water type and team supporter with its BPing huge Subs and Wishing.

I'm rather surpised that relicanth isn't seen more. I know that trick-room isn't that popular, but relicanth fits perfect in it, and there are trick-room users out there. It is also sad that nobody seems to see the potential of gastrodon...

I find it interesting to see only one Wailord on the list, as my last opponent on Shoddy had a Wailord that fared quite well against my team.

Choice Scarf Water Spout is more scary then Eruption, imo.

Not to mention Wailord can Selfdestruct.

Yeah, but Typhlosion can actually outspeed everything when it has a Choice Scarf thanks to 100 base speed.

Wailord only reaches a maximum of 360 speed with a scarf thanks to 60 base speed which means that there are still things without a scarf that are still faster than it. All those faster pokemon have to do is stick Wailord with a pin and he'll deflate just like that.

Choice Scarf Water Spout is super-effective on a lot more than Eruption though, and it's resisted by a lot less as well. The choice scarf selfdestruct is cool though...exploding whales...I never would've thunk it.

His also had HP Electric... that came as a surprise as it OHKO'd my Gyarados.

Ok everyone, I've done another update on the regulars list, and I did it in a more readable format this time.

Some points I'd like to make about them:

- Heatran simply decided to bribe everyone so that they would use it, that's what happened, I'm sure of it

- The highest growth rate this time next to Blissey's 84, was Gengar with an impressive 62, not bad when it was out of about 270 RMTs this update

- Someone laughed at Rhyperior and it started to cry, so now no one wants to use it because it's a loser now

- Dugtrio is starting to come back slowly, its growth is steadily rising, heh good for the triple moles

I'll leave the rest of the points up to you. I just want to ask you a question:

What exactly happened to Dusknoir and why did he get run over by so many of the other top pokemon this time after being in 3rd place for every update before this?

P.S. Hey Mods/Admins, should I take Manaphy off this list now? It got no uses because now everyone recognizes it as an uber, so should I get rid of it on this or are you guys still in debate about Manaphy?

Keep tracking it if you want, but it's pretty much uber at this point.

Good resource by the way, thanks much for it.

I consult this every time I'm about to make a new team. It helps a ton!

If you don't mind I have a suggestion: Adding in percentage values for how often pokemon are used in teams. By adding up all the numbers, dividing by 6, and then doing a simple division of usage/teams gives the percent. It's not that hard to get a rough estimate in your head though once you know the team total

Hmm...that's not a bad idea actually, there's just one thing I'm not completely clear on. Why am I dividing by 6? If I know the team total then wouldn't I just plug in the pokemon's number they received this update and divide it by the team total? Heh. Little help. :P

EDIT: Never mind, I thought you meant get the team total from the actual RMT sub-forum. Yeah, from the list I'd need to divide by 6. Thanks for your suggestion. :]

EDIT: Percentages are added now.
EDIT: Ubers are updated and I have added percentages for them as well.

WTF!! Shaymin! Seed Flare can freakin' bust through Blissey, and no one uses it?! And... Shaymin does 120% 'vire. Not 2hko. Thank you, Bologo, to introducing me to Shaymin. Man, SpecsShay, Timid, rocks!
SpecsShay @ Choice Specs
Natural Cure/Timid
-Seed Flare (WHAT ELSE?! Bullet Seed?)
-Psychic (Good, actually. Weezing, Fight types are killed on the switch.
-Hidden Power Fire (Nothing, else. This, only. Not Ice, nor fight, nor anything. Fire.)
-Rest (After the first three moves, it has crap. Rest is the best choice because of it's ability. It's legendary! Why doesn't it have a bigger movepool!
Anyway, Blissey is really shooting for *Symbol of OU* award, here. Tyranitar has fallen, weirdly. At least he isn't Uber-candidate anymore. Man, that was some overhype. Anyways, Blissey, Gyara, and Skarm (I guess it's history) would be symbols of OU.
Dugtrio- Wasn't there some sort of cycle? Like:
Skarmory->Magnezone->Dugtrio->Skarm?
So, Skarm usage going back up?

Ok guys, here's the first update in a really long time. I'm real sorry I haven't updated in so long, I'm still getting used to the workload for grade 11.

Alright, so there's been about 600 more RMTs this time around, some things that are noticeable right off the bat:

- Unless Blissey somehow dies, there is a 0% chance of anyone catching up to her, her lead is just a bit too big

- Gengar had the highest overall growth, not including Blissey, for 2 updates in a row now...what is up with that? Is Gengar really that good? Heh, I've never used it to tell you the truth.

- There has been an insane rise in the following: Scizor, Forretress, Tyranitar and Cradily. I can understand Tyranitar as it just needed to get its groove back, but what is up with the other 3?

- A lot of the lesser used pokemon are becoming used and are outshining a lot of the OUs now

- CLAMPERL!

Hope you have fun discussing this update...holy crap, a lot has changed since I did the last update and the metagame completely flip-flopped in some places....

Please post your thoughts about it in this thread, that'd be awfully cool.

Luv ya.

Interesting, Scizor and Vaporeon are seeing much more use than I'd expect...
So is Electivire. What the fuck? Are people still using the physical variant, or the mixed with HP Ice?

EDIT: Rhyperior...

Well Cradily usage tends to correlate naturally with T-tar as it is the best special wall available for Sandstorm teams. I've faced quite a few on Shoddy and it can prove to be quite irritating when I am using my own Sandstorm team. Forretress appears quite often too on more stall-based teams, although I haven't faced that many Scizors for some reason so I cannot say why that is so popular.

Forretress usage has increased because it has become the very core of the standard stall team now; people have realized that Toxic Spikes is extremely vicious.

Well that definitely explains the huge Tentacruel rise that's been going on too.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to compile this list?

But thanks for doing it. I'll refer to this list when looking for new ideas for my teams & use it to see if my team has counters to most of these Pokes, etc.
