This game is all about keeping askaninjask alive. If at any point he should perish for any reason, the game ends and the Board loses.
askaninjask has perks as the President. First, his vote counts for two votes. Second, he will be passively protected from controversy at all times by "spin doctors" who will ensure that any bad publicity gets killed immediately.
However, there are four among the board that are displeased with this decision. These are the Corporate Cutthroats. They'll stop at nothing to destroy the reputation of the President and claim his power as their own. They also have the money and power to bribe a fifth in order to join their group. This fifth will be selected on Night 0.
Oh, and one more thing. Communication with other board members through private means is now suspended. You may not contact other members outside the board room (this thread). Note that this does not apply to the Corporate Cutthroats, because they're sneaky bastards.

It has come to our attention that some of you may have... less than good intentions. As such, we will be firing all board members suspected of betraying the President's trust. Once we have eliminated this threat, we will reconstruct the board and falsely accused members will be brought back.
The roles:
10 Board Members - Uninteresting individuals whose only notable ability on the Board is to vote on all firings.
3 Corporate Spin Doctors (Presidential) - These PR pros are constantly keeping an eye on the President and everything surrounding him. As long as at least one of them is still a board member, the President cannot be forced to resign from the board by the Corporate Cutthroats.
1 Corporate Spin Doctor (Free Agent) - A PR Pro who prefers to use his services in order to protect the rest of the board.
1 Corporate Hacker - A computer hacking pro who uses his skills to spy on his fellow board members, revealing their true intentions.
1 Embezzler - A board member suspected of embezzling corporate funds, given one more chance to redeem himself... or seize all the power for himself.
5 Corporate Cutthroats - The "mafia" of Bluecorp, these cutthroats will stop at nothing to slander everyone around them and seize control of the most powerful corporation ever to exist.

Anyway, since we have nothing better to go on, Fire Tenken. He's a moron for not realizing the game had been past the sign up stage for quite some time. He's also impatient, which is a bad virtue for a townie to have. Clearly not the sharpest mind, and the worst thing that happens is we kill a shit player.

I thought it was relatively clear from his own post that he was villager: he really didn't give a shit about what was going on. The only thing that happens is that we kill a player who really doesn't care about the game anyway.

I'd rather lynch an idiot villager who is active, rather than an idler...
I agree that lynching someone is better than lynching no one, but I would rather lynch someone based on their behavior during the day than their behavior during the night.
As for interested vs non interested...yeah, standard NOC mafia fare is to lynch those who do not contribute much as to provide a good worst case scenario. But if someone is being extremely suspicious, we should lynch that guy instead.
Well, yeah, I'm free to change my vote anytime if anyone better pops up, and I will if someone does, but he looks like the worst we have. And it started discussion, which was the point of my post. Awesome. :)
Maybe we're not going to learn anything at all about anyone unless we start talking and discussing people right away, even if initially we have to use ridiculous reasoning. Now's no time to be conservative. For all of Day 1, we're not getting any more info on anyone unless we start talking. Which we are. Cool!
The president should be the backbone of the discussion, as this guarantees we're getting at least one clean guy's opinion on everything. The mafia cannot "lead the discussion" more than anyone can...but whoever is leading the discussion doesn't matter, because everyone should be speaking up, asking and giving opinions, and making analyses.

Voting Tenken seems like a poor decision, especially as more than half of the people in the game haven't posted since roles were handed out. Certainly, if we were to choose a target, we should choose somebody who is silent.

Glad this is getting underway! To be honest, I don't really know what to say or suggest at this point, seeing as I'm a mafia novice and Day 1 only just started. All that I can really say right now is that I agree that firing someone is better than firing no-one. Sorry for posting something of such little substance, but rest assured that when I find something I want to talk about, I'll post it.

It's always a good idea to keep an eye on quieter folks but with so many quiet people who are you going to vote for now?
"Wait 24 hours to see who hasn't talked yet and discuss them" seems kind of dumb especially because now mafia will just go "oh if I post anything then I know the town won't get me day 1". And it stifles the discussion for 24 hours.
better than last game when there was a serious possibility of the town voting no lynch because "we have no information"
