Ability: Swift Swim
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Wave Crash
- Waterfall
- Crunch

Rain Sweeper. Uses Tera Water Wave Crash in the rain to muscle through checks. Gets countered by water absorb Clodsire, Dondozo, Amoonguss, Walking Wake, and gets checked by Slowking and Tera Water Lando T and Garganacl. Its counters need to be taken out before it can sweep. Forms a great core with Thundurus as they can kill each other's checks and counters.

Urshifu
1686405667711.png

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Punching Glove
Ability: Unseen Fist
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance

Punching Glove powers up surging strikes and lets it avoid contact. Rain helps make up for power lost by not using choice band. Notably counters Kingambit and Hisuian Samurott. Similarly to Basculegion, +2 Surging Strikes in the rain has amazing killing power
Lives Supreme Overlord Kowtow Cleave
252+ Atk Supreme Overlord 5 allies fainted Kingambit Kowtow Cleave vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Urshifu-Rapid-Strike: 117-138 (34.3 - 40.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Amoonguss
1686406469260.png

Amoonguss @ Eject Button
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Protect

Amoonguss provides very nice utility for the team. It can take a hit from a very wide range of threats and then use eject button to bring in one of my threats to pick up a kill. Spore is very nice for dealing with the pokemon this team struggles with like clodsire and toxapex. Protect can be used to scout choice-locked attackers and then either switch or stay.

Iron Treads
1686406739122.png

Iron Treads @ Leftovers
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Volt Switch
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin

Iron treads provides hazard control for the team. Volt Switch helps it grab momentum. Its ground typing gives the team a second electric immunity, and it can be a useful dragon type check.

Hey, i like the idea of using Barraskewda :barraskewda: instead of Basculegion :basculegion:.
You dont get Wave Crash as a really strong Water Move, but you can use Liquidation which kills most things in rain and with Tera water.
Also you get access to Close Combat, which helps with some frequent seen threats.

:barraskewda:Barraskewda @ Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Close Combat
- Crunch/Psychic Fangs
- Liquidation

It could be better for some of the counters you mentioned but not all of em, so this might be worth looking into. ^^

With the recent Urshifu ban, I would almost want to swap out urshifu for barraskewda. Or even run Dondozo if you want more bulk or Quaquaval for a similar motif to what Urshifu ran. TBH I think Quaquaval would fit best here but wanted to pose the other options in case you felt differently.

Quaquaval @ Leftovers
Ability: Moxie
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Atk / 140 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Step
- Close Combat/ ice spinner
- Bulk Up
- Roost

Play around with the EVs but I think this set doesn't look too bad.

Other than that, I would consider swapping protect on Amoongus for clear smog which could really save you. Or if you like the scouting with protect then swap sludge bomb for it. Also, potentially grass knot for giga drain since it'll do more damage more often with your EV spread.

And for Basculegeon, three water moves makes me sad. Keeping wave crash is almost mandatory and aqua jet is good for priority, but swapping waterfall for zen headbut would give you some good coverage you might thank yourself for later. Maybe not.

~
Anyway, hope this helps somewhat. Good luck!

Indeed Wave Crash in rain can be frightening, and I get Aqua Jet. But why Waterfall? There are some tomes you won't need the strongest move, or have to avoid recoil and pray for flinch, but I don't think enough. It severely limts coverage on Basculegion.

Cool rain team.

Changes-

run full defensive Pelipper either max SpDef or max Def. Also switch to -Spe nature and 0 IV for slowest U-Turn.

Basculegion is cool maybe consider Liquidation > Waterfall and Psychic Fangs > Crunch to break screens and improve your Pex matchup.

Make Iron Treads Careful and 248 HP, 8 Def, 252 SpDef. Your Treads is too fast! Since it is a defensive / support pokemon, you want it slower to pivot better into your sweepers and breakers. It is a decent pivot into enemy Zapdos for example. Who you otherwise do not really want to switch into with a fast spread.

To replace Urshifu, I’ve been running this Quaquaval set as a Gambit check / sweeper with good success:

Quaquaval @ Life Orb
Ability: Moxie
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Roost

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Quaquaval Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Iron Valiant in Rain: 289-341 (100 - 117.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hope this helps!
