[OVERVIEW]
Lurantis is a notable Trick Room attacker thanks to its fairly low Speed and ability Contrary, which allows it to set up via Superpower. Contrary also lets Lurantis support its teammates by deterring Intimidate users from switching in with the threat of an Attack boost. Additionally, Lurantis's Grass typing makes it immune to Spore and Rage Powder from Amoonguss, although Lurantis still loses to Sludge Bomb. However, Lurantis's low base Speed means that it fits only on semi- or full Trick Room teams, and its poor movepool leaves it pretty one-dimensional and predictable.

Moves
========
Leaf Blade is the most spammable move on the set, boasting great power and accuracy. Superpower in conjunction with Contrary lets Lurantis set up and gives it nice neutral coverage alongside Leaf Blade, only resisted by Flying- and Poison-types. Knock Off hits bulky Psychic-types like Mega Metagross, Cresselia, and Gothitelle and provides additional utility in removing items like Berries and Assault Vest. Protect is used for scouting foes' moves, surviving a double target, or waiting for a teammate to set Trick Room up.
Set Details
========
Figy Berry heals Lurantis for 50% of its maximum HP when it's at low HP, thus increasing its longevity and improving its chance to successfully sweep an opposing team. Contrary allows Lurantis to set up via Superpower and deter Intimidate from the likes of Incineroar, Landorus-T, and Mega Manectric. The given EV spread along with 0 Speed IVs and a Brave nature makes Lurantis as powerful and slow as possible and gives it decent bulk.
Usage Tips
========
Lurantis is good as a mid-game sweeper, when its answers are eliminated or weakened enough to be in range of its boosted attacks. Lurantis is also able to soften up its checks by spamming Knock Off and Leaf Blade early-game. You can take advantage of opposing Intimidate users by aggressively double switching Lurantis in on them or keeping it on the field alongside another physical attacker.
Team Options
========
Since Lurantis is very slow, Trick Room setters like Porygon2, Gothitelle, and Hoopa-U are mandatory teammates. Physical attackers that fit on Trick Room teams like Stakataka and Incineroar appreciate Lurantis's Intimidate-deterring capabilities. The former also sets Trick Room, and the latter provides Fake Out and Intimidate support. Other Trick Room attackers like Mega Camerupt and Diancie also usually fit on teams featuring Lurantis thanks to their nice offensive synergy. Pokemon such as Volcanion and the aforementioned Stakataka help Lurantis deal with troublesome Pokemon like Celesteela, Mega Charizard Y, and Amoonguss.

Other Options
=============
Defog is an option for teams that have Pokemon extremely weak to Stealth Rock like Mega Charizard Y, although Lurantis struggles to fit this move. A special set with Leaf Storm can be used, but its lack of power and inability to take advantage of opposing Intimidate users make this set inferior to physical ones.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Faster Pokemon**: Since Lurantis is extremely slow, outspeeding and KOing it outside of Trick Room with Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Mega Salamence, and Tornadus isn't a difficult task.
**Fire-types**: While Lurantis can beat some of them, notably Incineroar, under Trick Room, all Fire-type Pokemon, such as Volcanion and Victini, are capable of threatening it outside of Trick Room. A special mention goes to Mega Charizard Y, as it takes almost no damage from any of Lurantis's attacks, letting it beat Lurantis even under Trick Room.
**Flying-types**: Pokemon like Tornadus and Mega Salamence are resistant to Leaf Blade and Superpower, survive Knock Off, and KO Lurantis with their Flying-type STAB moves.
