MAGFest and other conventions?

I don't know how this place works sorry

I'm leaving tomorrow morning to head to MAGFest and I was curious if any Smogon members go there, or just conventions in general?

I remember there used to be VGC events that some people would go to and hang out, but I don't know if that holds true nowadays or for conventions in general.

I've not been to a public event like this one yet, if anyone's done this in the past and has any tips do share. I'd definitely like to meet up with some people and shoot the shit, so hopefully this is the proper method?

VGC events still exist! You can check out the VGC sticky thread here and look to see if there's any events nearby here.
