Trusty Machete is quite usable... in limited. Collar is fine but I am not going to be afraid when my opponent searches it up with their Stoneforge Mystic, which is quite different from how I would feel if they searched up Sword of x and x or Batterskull.Basilisk Collar was in Worldwake, scrubbies. Trusty Machete is actually quite usable anyway, I don't know why you'd be making fun of that.
The whole point of build-your-own-standard was that each player got to choose their own blocks :PWell if anyone is intersted im thinking of a mirrodin +ravinca (with the banlist from both)+10e.
Well, I made a Riku deck to complement my Teysa. All five colors between my two decks, yo. But then I've never really gotten to test it out and it just seems so tryhard-douchebaggy anyway that I kinda don't even want to get it streamlined. :( That was a while ago now though, I'd need to update it for M12/ISD even if I gave a crap.AFAIK, none of the irc regulars play Riku. Neither do I, but I bought the precon for him the other day because it was on sale.
Pauper is a format where only commons are allowed (limited to MTGO releases, so Hymn to Tourach is not allowed as it is an uncommon in the set that is was released in on MTGO despite being a common in real life), and is quite popular on MTGO (and some real-life areas as well). Here's another idea. How about a Single Rarity tournament?
I mean like either make it only Commons or Mythics, etc. (with exception of lands).
It could be a pretty damn fun format if everyone can only use "weak" cards (Lightning bolt could be ridiculous), or even better imo if we can only use the (usually high cost) uber-rare creatures and spells. Games might actually last more than two/three rounds. :0

The zombie apocalypse has come.
It is pretty expensive, but I always get a lot of mana. I havn't gotten to try it out yet, but I have it(:I tried it in Standard and Modern for 2-3 games each. It seems cool, but it's way too expensive to ever be realistically played. Maybe in EDH?
What? The new legend rule was created when Kamigawa was released, pretty much because Kamigawa was released; Kamigawa has always used the modern legend rule...Kamigawa block format was retarded with the legendary rules that existed at the time, but if we played with the updated rules it would be better. Speaking of which, if we play a pre-m10 block constructed format, are we going to use the old damge rules or new ones? Certain cards are SIGNFICANTLY better with the old damage rules than they are now.
Yup you're right, I heard the opposite somewhere but it was incorrect, my bad >_>What? The new legend rule was created when Kamigawa was released, pretty much because Kamigawa was released; Kamigawa has always used the modern legend rule...
Woooo this tournament sounds fun, expect me to play a sweet control brew every round! (Sorry fellow control players, I commited a deadly sin last tourney and played green cards not all named tarmogoyf, I will make up for it this time)Ya definitely Vader's idea, but guys I'll probably be more selective about who joins this tournament since that is a lot of deck building and this time you can't netdeck stuff (as much...)
