scarf gengar makes a great partner for him then being immune to eq and brick break... modest can ohko with focus blast.... unfortunately its 70% accuracy
 
Hmm... Could a defensive Eviolite Magneton set with Quiet nature and Analytic, with Charge Beam, Hidden Power Fire, and maybe some other stuff, work?
