Metagross/4Crankin'
Ability: Clear Body
Item: Lum Berry
Nature: Adamant (+Atk -SpA)
EV: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Spe
Moveset:

- Explosion
- Earthquake
- Bullet Punch
Down Deeper:
Metagross plays the leading role in this show here. With its natural bulkiness it can hold its own against many of the most common leads in this Metagame. If it survives and it has completed its task, basically just to set up Stealth Rock, then it can act as a fairly decent physical hitter too. He holds an Occa Berry to guarantee that he gets Stealth Rock up on Azelf and Infernape, or any lead that carries mean Fire moves. This is a basic LeadGross set so there isn't much to explain there except I opted for Earthquake over Meteor Mash for increased sweeping capabilities.
Synergy:
Fire: Salamence, Latias, Heatran, Vaporeon
Ground: Salamence, Latias
Scizor/Fisticuffs (M)
Ability: Technician
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Adamant (+Atk -SpA)
EV: 248 HP/252 Atk/10 Spe
Moveset:
- U-Turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
Down Deeper:
I really don't like this thing, which is odd because Scyther is one of my favorite Pokemon of all time, but anyone can honestly say that he is amazing. He can come in on Ice (Ice Beam/Ice Shard etc), Ghost (Shadow Ball/Shadow Sneak etc), Dragon (Outrage/Draco Meteor etc), and a multitude of different attack types due to its Steel typing. To add to that with his typing he is granted only one weakness, Fire (Flamethrower/Fire Fang etc). I changed Scizor from the Swords Dance variant to a Choice Band set. It is extremely basic, Pursuit over Quick Attack is the only opt I went for because I don't see the point in Quick Attack at all to be honest if you have Bullet Punch, minus possible neutral hits.
Synergy:
Fire: Salamence, Latias, Heatran, Vaporeon
Salamence/WingDouche (M)
Ability: Intimidate
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Naive (+Spe -SpD)
EV: 232 Atk/26 SpA/252 Spe
Moveset:
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake
Down Deeper:
Once he has set up there are very few things that can prevent him from sweeping. He can come in on Fire (Flamethrower/Fire Fang etc), Water (Surf/Aqua Jet etc), Fighting (Close Combat/Aura Sphere etc), Ground (Earthquake/Earth Power etc), and other uncommon attack types (Grass and Bug) which can then set up on and begin his sweeping. Again another basic set only there aren't any options that I told over the norm.
Synergy:
Ice: Metagross, Scizor, Heatran, Vaporeon
Rock: Metagross
Dragon: Metagross, Scizor, Heatran
Latias/Foxy Mamma (F)
Ability: Levitate
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Timid (+Spe -Atk)
EV: 144 HP/114 SpA/252 Spe
Moveset:
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Recover
Down Deeper:
This is the second and last new recruit for a team of mine, if you have seen my other standard team. She comes in on Fire (Flamethrower/Fire Fang etc), Water (Surf/Aqua Jet etc), Electric (Thunderbolt/Thunder Fang etc), Fighting (Close Combat/Aura Sphere etc), Ground (Earthquake/Earth Power etc), then Grass and Psychic but they are rarely seen in Standard as attack types. With her special bulkiness and multitude of resistances to common attack types she can come in easily and set up a Calm Mind or two and just wall and sweep. This is a Defensive Calm Mind Latias set, copy, paste, not much else except I chose Surf over other utility moves for the defensive set. Though it was between Hidden Power Fire and Surf, I just chose Surf.
Synergy:
Ice: Metagross, Scizor, Heatran, Vaporeon
Bug: Scizor, Salamence, Heatran
Ghost: Scizor, Heatran
Dragon: Metagross, Scizor, Heatran
Dark: Scizor, Heatran
Heatran/PisShizz (M)
Ability: Flash Fire
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Naive (+Spe -SpD)
EV: 6 Atk/252 SpA/252 Spe
Moveset:
- Explosion
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power Electric
Down Deeper:
Scarfed Heatran is the greatest revenge killer of all time in my opinion. He has X4 weakness to Earthquake so its doesn't see play outside of coming in after a Pokemon goes down, but he does get the job done well. He could come in on many different types of attacks, due to its Steel typing, such as Fire (Flamethrower/Fire Fang etc), Ice (Ice Beam/Ice Shard etc), Ghost (Shadow Ball/Shadow Sneak etc), Dragon (Outrage/Draco Meteor), and other not as common attack types. Though the fear of Ground attacks does keep him back, but again he gets the job done. Standard Choice Scarf Heatran set nothing really to explain there.
Synergy:
Water: Salamence, Latias, Vaporeon
Fighting: Salamence, Latias
Ground: Salamence, Latias
Vaporeon/Pungi-Been (F)
Ability: Water Absorb
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Bold (+Def -Atk)
EV: 188 HP/252 Def/68 Spe
Moveset:
- Wish
- Protect
- Surf
- Hidden Power Electric
Down Deeper:
This team has a lot of trouble with Gyarados. Thus I switched Swampert, out of recommendation, to Vaporeon. Vaporeon is probably the greatest Gyarados counter ever. Vaporeon can come in on Water (Surf/Waterfall etc.), Fire (Flamethrower/Fire Fang etc.), Ice (Ice Beam/Ice Shard etc.), and Steel (Bullet Punch/Flash Cannon etc.) type attacks making it a great switch in on some of the most common attack types nowadays. The fact that it is an amazing Cleric, with Wish Passing and all, also makes it even more welcome as most of the team doesn't pack any recovery methods. This is the Standard Wish Passing set with Hidden Power Electric in order to take out Gyarados easily.
Synergy:
Grass: Metagross, Scizor, Salamence, Latias, Heatran
Electric: Latias
So again here is the team:

Threat List
Most likely a lead so Bullet Punched by Metagross right off the bat. Otherwise the switch goes to Vaporeon to Surf all over Aerodactyl.
Heatran switches in on anything except Focus Blast and threatens with Fire Blast. Scizor and Metagross can switch into anything but Hidden Power Fire and Scizor can Pursuit/Bullet Punch Alakazam, while Metagross can Bullet Punch. Latias comes in on anything but Signal Beam and will Dragon Pulse for good damage.
Seen as a lead most of the time so will get a Bullet Punch from Metagross, in case that Azelf runs Taunt. Heatran can switch on a Flamethrower/Fire Blast for a +1, Heatran also can deal with Azelf’s other hits decently. Latias resists Psychic and Fire so Latias can switch in on Azelf’s Psychic/Flamethrower/Fire Blast.
Scizor will switch in if Blissey doesn’t have Flamethrower. Metagross doesn’t mind Thunder Wave too much so Metagross can threaten Blissey and its lower defensive spectrum. Salamence resists Flamethrower and can 2HKO with Outrage.
Salamence is sort of a counter if Breloom doesn’t run Stone Edge. Otherwise I have no other real switch into this.
Heatran can switch into Bronzong’s Gyro Ball and should 2HKO with Fire Blast. Salamence carries Fire Blast and is immune to Earthquake though will take a bit from Gyro Ball.
Salamence can take Celebi’s Grass Knot, hopefully it doesn’t run Hidden Power Ice, and with threaten with Fire Blast. As long as Celebi doesn’t opt for Earth Power, Heatran switches in and just annihilates Celebi.
Scizor Pursuits Cresselia for 120 power because of Super Effective, and Technician, and 240 if it switches. Metagross walls Cresselia and can wear them down with its Bullet Punch.
Salamence out-speeds Dragonite if it hasn’t set up yet and will threaten with Outrage.
Heatran can easily take Dusknoir down if it doesn’t pack Earthquake, which Heatran can then switch in on Will-O-Wisp for a +1 for Fire Blast.
Heatran and Salamence can out-speed and revenge Electivire if it hasn’t gotten its Motor Drive boost.
If Empoleon has not received his Petaya boost Latias can switch in on anything but Empoleon’s Ice Beam and set up with Calm Mind fitting it to tank Empoleon and just hit with Dragon Pulse for +6 resisted damage, while taking hits to its +6 Special Defense. Salamence can come in on Swords Dance variants to Intimidate and hit with Earthquake, while resisting Empoleon’s Aqua Jet and Earthquake.
Salamence can come in on Earthquake and out-speed with an Outrage as long as Flygon doesn't have a Choice Scarf.
Salamence can come in on an Earthquake and hit with Fire Blast. If Forretress opts for Gyro Ball then Heatran comes in and hits with her Fire Blast.
Scizor resists Gengar’s Shadow Ball so he can switch in and Bullet Punch him to oblivion. Heatran can come in on anything except Focus Blast and will get a +1 from Hidden Power Fire then push with Fire Blast.
Vaporeon will come in on virtually all of Gliscor’s attacks and hits him hard with STAB Surfs.
Heatran can come revenge on Gyarados with Hidden Power Electric, even after a DD, or can come in while it sets up/if I predict Ice Fang over Stone edge. The Vaporeon can take Gyarados’ typical attacks easily and push with its Hidden Power Electric.
Vaporeon walls Heatran if it lacks Hidden Power Grass. Latias comes in on anything but Heatran’s Dragon Pulse otherwise it will be given the time to set up.
Salamence resists both of Heracross’ STAB moves and punches with a Fire Blast. Heatran will out run even Scarf variants of Heracross, plus she resists Megahorn, and threatens with her Fire Blast too. Scizor can also revenge kill Heracross with Bullet Punch.
Vaporeon loves coming in on Stone Edge and then out stalls Hippowdon by hammering it with STAB Surfs.
If Infernape does not pack a Hidden Power Ice then Salamence has a ball switching in, resisting all other typical attack types on Infernape, setting up, and just hitting Infernape with the broom. Vaporeon has the chance against Infernape if it holds a Choice item or it just doesn’t have Grass Knot. Latias also resists all the attack types of a typical Infernape and OHKOs with her Surf.
Vaporeon resists Fire Punch so he can come in on physical variants and hit with STAB Surf. Metagross can hold up anything on a physical variant except for Fire Punch and will Earthquake if given the chance.
Heatran can revenge with Earth Power.
No counters in sight, Kingdra can mean a lot of trouble here.
Scizor can come in if Latias has Specs and is locked into a Dragon move and hit with Pursuit until it goes down. Metagross can come in and Bullet Punch because of its natural durability.
Salamence resists Close Combat and intimidates Lucario while out speeding him and hitting with either Fire Blast or Earthquake. Heatran can check against Lucario, by resisting Bullet Punch and ExtremeSpeed, and pushes him back with Fire Blast or Earth Power.
No real counters here because all my Fighting resists fear a Stone Edge and or Ice Punch.
Latias can switch in on all of Magnezone’s attacks, save for Explosion, and set Calm Mind up.
Scizor can come in on an Ice Shard and OHKO back with Bullet Punch. Same with Heatran come in on Ice Shard but will hit back with Fire Blast instead. Metagross can pull off the same maneuver though for all of these they must come in on Ice Shard.
Salamence is immune to Earthquake and can come in and hit with Fire Blast or Earthquake with no trouble, unless Metagross is running Bullet Punch.
Scizor and Metagross can Bullet Punch Ninjask to death.
Scizor and Metagross can Bullet Punch for good damage on Scarfed variants of Porygon-Z and Scizor can Superpower it if he can out-speed Porygon-Z. Heatran can come in if Porygon-Z is locked into Tri Attack or Ice Beam and hit with Fire Blast.
Vaporeon can take Rhyperior’s typical set and hit with STAB X4 Surf.
Heatran can come in on any attack and push with Fire Blast.
Vaporeon resists Blizzard and hits hard with STAB Surf.
Vaporeon resists Overheat then hits with STAB Surfs.
Heatran comes in on anything and just Fire Blasts it away.
Vaporeon comes in if Rotom-W doesn’t have Shadow Ball and Hidden Power Grass and hits with STAB Surf. Heatran can come in on Will-O-Wisp and retaliate with Fire Blast.
No real counters though Stealth Rock rips Salamence up. I can have my own Salamence set up Dragon Dance early game and come in if the opposing one hasn’t set up yet and hit it with Outrage. That’s basically the only hope.
Heatran switches in on both of Scizor’s STAB types and hits with X4 Fire Blast.
Heatran switches in on both of Skarmory’s STAB types and hits with Fire Blast.
Metagross and Scizor have priority moves. Salamence after it has set up previously can hit it with either physical attack.
No real counters just have to keep hitting him.
Latias has naturally bulky Special Defense and is only weak to Ice Beam so she Calm Minds up consecutively.
Salamence and Latias resist Surf and if Suicune doesn’t have Ice Beam both will walk all over it by setting up.
Latias resists Surf and Earthquake and takes Ice Beam well so she can set up and hammer it with STAB Dragon Pulse.
Metagross takes STAB Swords Dance attacks and hits with Earthquake. Latias can come in and set up Calm Mind and wall sweep Tentacruel.
No real counters here.
Scizor comes in and Superpowers
Metagross and Scizor are both immune to Toxic and hit hard on Umbreon’s defense.
Salamence can set up if Vaporeon doesn’t pack an Ice Beam. Vaporeon switches in and hits with Hidden Power Electric. Heatran can revenge with Hidden Power Electric.
Scizor, Metagross, and Heatran resist both of Weavile’s STAB types and hurt with super effective attacks.
Latias takes all of Zapdos’ attacks easily and sets up.
