Ground
========

Mamoswine functions as a powerful physical wallbreaker thanks to its incredible Attack stat, as well as its unique and nearly unresisted STAB combination. Notably, Mamoswine is the only viable Ground-type with access to a STAB boosted priority move in Ice Shard. This assists Ground teams by granting them the ability to revenge kill faster, weakened foes such as Mega Lopunny and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu. Mamoswine also is incredibly useful for sweeping Dragon and Flying teams late-game, as both types struggle to switch into Mamoswine's Ice-type STAB moves. Because of Thick Fat, Mamoswine can offensively check foes with Ice-type coverage such as Alolan Ninetales for Ground teams. However, Mamoswine's typing is defensively terrible and leaves it susceptible to various types such as Steel and Water. Additionally, foes with type coverage such as Close Combat Zeraora can OHKO Mamoswine. Also, while powerful, Mamoswine has a predictable moveset that can be played around if pressured correctly. Despite Mamoswine being a powerful wallbreaker, physically defensive walls such as Skarmory and Mega Slowbro can tank its attacks and can recover their health.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Icicle Crash is Mamoswine's best Ice-type STAB move that reliably damages bulky Flying-types such as Zapdos and Mantine, and it also has a chance to make the foe flinch. Earthquake is used to hit Steel-types such as Jirachi and Metagross. Ice Shard is a priority move that allows Mamoswine to check setup sweepers such as Landorus-T and Mega Latias. It can also be used to revenge kill weakened foes, especially those faster than Mamoswine such as Mega Lopunny and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu. Superpower is a good coverage move against Normal- and Steel-types such as Porygon2 and Air Balloon Heatran. Alternatively, Knock Off helps against physically defensive walls such as Porygon2 and Slowbro by hampering their defenses and recovery, respectively, as well as providing coverage against Ghost- and Psychic-types.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack investment paired with a Choice Band makes Mamoswine a threatening physical wallbreaker. Maximum Speed investment with a Jolly nature allows Mamoswine to outspeed some of its offensive checks, such as Breloom and Tapu Bulu without Choice Scarf. Thick Fat helps against Fire-types such as Heatran and Victini by weakening their Fire-type STAB moves and allowing Mamoswine to revenge kill them. An Adamant nature can be used as a means of attaining extra power, but this comes at the cost of extra Speed attained from a Jolly nature, as it no longer outspeeds Jolly Breloom and Tapu Bulu.

Usage Tips
========

Keep Mamoswine as healthy as possible against Flying teams, as it can reliably damage Pokemon such as Celesteela and Gliscor without having to rely on Gravity Landorus. It also is crucial against Dragon teams thanks to its priority Ice Shard to revenge kill faster Dragon-types such as Kommo-o and Latios, while Icicle Crash can OHKO or 2HKO all of them. Because Mamoswine is holding a Choice Band, it must be careful of what move it chooses to lock itself into, as it should try to predict what the foe will do. Use Mamoswine to offensively check foes with Ice-type coverage such as Greninja and Thundurus-T, as Thick Fat helps to lessen the damage. However, be cautious of other options from these foes, as they may predict Mamoswine switching in and deal severe damage to it. Knock Off can be used early-game against Eviolite users such as Chansey and Porygon2 to allow teammates such as Excadrill and Landorus to deal heavier damage to them. Additionally, removing the foe's items will decrease their overall usefulness. Mamoswine must be careful of using Superpower, as the drops in its Attack and Defense stats can make it setup bait for foes such as Volcarona and Swords Dance Mega Scizor. Avoid burns as much as possible, as they severely compromise Mamoswine's ability to break teams.

Team Options
========

Landorus holds incredible wallbreaking power on Ground teams thanks to its Life Orb and Sheer Force combination, being able to break physically defensive foes such as Porygon2 and Slowbro for Mamoswine. Additionally, Landorus aids Mamoswine by providing Gravity support to let it spam Earthquake to take care of checks such as Celesteela, Rotom-W, and Skarmory while also being able to use its coverage moves such as Focus Blast and Sludge Wave to threaten some of Mamoswine's checks such as Porygon2 and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu. Gastrodon and Seismitoad are the two viable Ground-types that compensate for Mamoswine's Water-type weakness by providing an immunity, though they serve different purposes. Gastrodon's access to Recover and good bulk make it a fabulous defensive check to foes such as Greninja and Suicune. Seismitoad, however, doesn't have reliable recovery but makes up for it by outspeeding and KOing Azumarill after a Belly Drum boost, which would otherwise pose a threat to Ground teams. Hippowdon's solid physical bulk, Slack Off recovery, and access to Whirlwind are used to handle physical setup sweepers such as Bisharp and Mega Scizor for Mamoswine. The sand that Hippowdon provides also chips away at foes and puts them in range of being KOed by Mamoswine. Sand Rush Excadrill works in tandem with Hippowdon by becoming a powerful revenge killer under sand and checks fast threats to Mamoswine such as Mega Lopunny, Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu, and Zeraora, while it's also able to clear away entry hazards with Rapid Spin. Garchomp's typing is useful, as it provides a neutrality to Grass- and Water- type moves from Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur and Mantine for Mamoswine and uses its solid Speed tier and Swords Dance boosts to break them down. Alternatively, Mega Garchomp becomes immensely powerful and assists Mamoswine by using its mixed coverage to break down physical walls such as Celesteela and Skarmory with Fire Blast and also checks Azumarill after a Belly Drum boost. Mega Steelix assists Mamoswine by checking physical attackers such as Mega Pinsir, Tapu Bulu thanks to its incredible defenses, and even survives Adamant Azumarill's +6 Aqua Jet to KO it in return with Heavy Slam. Mega Steelix and Mamoswine also create a solid core that effectively breaks down Dragon teams.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Ground
--------
A Life Orb can be utilized over Choice Band, as it allows Mamoswine to freely switch moves. Additionally, it is recommended to use Knock Off over Superpower on such a set in order to remain as powerful as possible. However, the loss in power means Mamoswine misses out on some notable 2HKOs, namely on Celesteela and Ferrothorn. It also forces Mamoswine to take recoil after using a move, which is especially detrimental against Flying teams, where it needs to be healthy in order to break them down. A Choice Scarf can be used over Choice Band to threaten faster foes such as Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu and Choice Scarf Magnezone, but this comes at the cost of the power attained from a Choice Band.

Checks and Counters
===================

Ground
--------
**Rotom-W**: Rotom-W is the single best counter to Mamoswine. It resists Mamoswine's Ice-type STAB moves, is immune to its Ground-type STAB moves, and can burn it through Will-O-Wisp or outright KO it with Hydro Pump.

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Greninja and Suicune can threaten Mamoswine with their STAB moves or a potential Scald burn. They also resist Mamoswine's Ice-type STAB moves.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Buzzwole and Mega Gallade can threaten to KO Mamoswine with their STAB moves.

**Burns**: Burns severely hinder Mamoswine by halving its Attack stat and softening its damage output.

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Mega Slowbro and Skarmory are a few examples of physically defensive walls that can take Mamoswine's attacks and recover any damage taken.

Moves
========

*Icicle Crash is Mamoswine's best Ice-type STAB move that reliably damages bulky Flying-types such as Celesteela and Mantine, and also has a chance to flinch the foe.
- celesteela isnt the greatest example, since it lives 1 and bops mamo back with heavy slam

*Earthquake is a great Ground-type STAB move that is used to hit Steel-types such as Jirachi and Metagross.
*Ice Shard is a priority move that allows Mamoswine to check setup sweepers such as Landorus-T and Mega Latias. It can also be used to revenge kill weakened foes, especially those faster than Mamoswine such as Mega Lopunny and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu.
*Superpower is a good coverage move against Normal- and Steel-types such as Porygon2 and Air Balloon Heatran.
*Knock Off helps against physically defensive walls such as Porygon2 and Slowbro by hampering their defenses and recovery respectively, as well as being coverage against Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Jellicent and Mew.

Set Details
========

*Maximum Attack investment when paired with a Choice band and an Adamant nature make Mamoswine a threatening physical wallbreaker.
*Maximum Speed investment allows Mamoswine to outspeed some of its offensive checks, such as non-Choice Scarf Magnezone and Adamant Tapu Bulu.
- change the main set to jolly, if you want to explain it as the other option here as well that's cool. though I would redo the first two bullets and talk about jolly then say adamant is another option

*Thick Fat helps against Fire-types such as Heatran and Victini by halving their Fire-type STAB moves and allowing Mamoswine to revenge kill them.
- victinis vcreate still can kill with minor chip damage
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Thick Fat Mamoswine: 294-348 (81.4 - 96.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

*A Jolly nature can be used in order to outspeed checks such as Jolly Breloom and Timid Heatran, though it comes at the cost of extra power attained from an Adamant nature.
(again changed natures on set)

Usage Tips
========

*Keep Mamoswine as healthy as possible against Flying teams, as it can reliably damage Flying-types such as Celesteela and Gliscor without having to rely on Gravity Landorus or Rock Slide flinches from Excadrill.

* also add a tip abt dragon mu

*Because Mamoswine is holding a Choice Band, it must be careful of what move it chooses to lock itself into, as it may try to predict what the foe will do. For example, an opponent with a Psychic team has a Jirachi out and may want to switch into Latios. Mamoswine might want to use Icicle Crash to KO an incoming Latios. However, if the prediction is wrong and Jirachi stays in, Mamoswine will be in a bad position as a result.
*Avoid Burns and Paralysis as much as possible. The former severely hinders Mamoswine's ability to break teams, while the latter halves its Speed and makes it susceptible to slower foes such as Adamant Breloom and Pelipper.
- paralysis vs mamo isnt a thing. might wanna rework this sentence

*Use Mamoswine to offensively check foes with Ice-type coverage such as Greninja and Thundurus-T, as Thick Fat helps to lessen the damage. However, be cautious of other options from these foes, as they may predict Mamoswine switching in and can deal severe damage to it.
*Knock Off can be used in the early-game to allow teammates such as Excadrill and Landorus to deal heavier damage. However, Mamoswine should avoid Knock Off from foes as well, as its offensive pressure is softened with the lack of its Choice Band.
*Mamoswine must be careful of using Superpower, as the drops in its Attack and Defense stats can make it setup bait for foes such as Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X and Swords Dance Mega Scizor.
- dd zard x isn't really a threat to ground unless u play super poorly

*Be careful of Ice Beam from Kyurem-B, as its Teravolt negates Mamoswine's Thick Fat and can KO it after prior damage.

Team Options

*Landorus holds incredible wallbreaking power on Ground teams thanks to its Life Orb and Sheer Force combination. Additionally, Landorus aids Mamoswine by providing Gravity support that allows Mamoswine to spam Earthquake, while also being able to use its coverage moves such as Focus Blast and Sludge Wave to threaten some of Mamoswine's checks such as Porygon2 and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu.
- talk about landorus being able to use gravity to take on its checks like skarm & steela

*Gastrodon and Seismitoad are the two viable Ground-types that compensate for Mamoswine's Water-type weakness by being an immunity, though they serve different purposes. Gastrodon's access to Recover and common usage of Toxic make it a fabulous defensive check to foes such as Greninja and Suicune. Seismitoad however, doesn't have a reliable recovery but makes up for it by outspeeding and revenge killing Azumarill after a Belly Drum boost, which would otherwise sweep Ground teams.
*Hippowdon's solid physical bulk, Slack Off recovery, and access to Whirlwind is used to handle physical setup sweepers such as Bisharp and Mega Scizor for Mamoswine. The Sandstorm that Hippowdon provides also chips away at foes and puts them in range of being KOed by Mamoswine.
*Sand Rush Excadrill works in tandem with Hippowdon by becoming a powerful revenge killer under Sandstorm and checks fast threats to Mamoswine such as Mega Lopunny and Zeraora as a result.
- talk about its ability to deal with fairies such as bulu, also its ability to clear hazards with spin.

*Dugtrio can trap, weaken, and remove foes that pose a threat to Mamoswine, such as Greninja and Excadrill.
*Garchomp's typing is useful as it provides a neutrality to Grass- and Water-types such as Mega Venusaur and Mantine for Mamoswine, and uses its solid Speed tier and Swords Dance boosts to break them down. Alternatively, Mega Garchomp becomes immensely powerful and assists Mamoswine by using its mixed coverage to break down physical walls such as Celesteela and Skarmory with Fire Blast.
*Mega Steelix's incredible defenses assist Mamoswine by checking physical attackers such as Mega Swampert, Tapu Bulu, and even survives Adamant Azumarill's Aqua Jet at +6 Attack to KO it in return with Heavy Slam. Mega Steelix and Mamoswine also create a solid offensive core that efficiently breaks down Dragon teams.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Buzzword and Mega Gallade can threaten to KO Mamoswine with their Fighting-type STAB moves.
- (just a note but you wrote water and fighting pretty much the same.)

**Burns and Paralysis**: Burns severely hinder Mamoswine by halving its Attack stat and softening its offensive output, while Paralysis hinders its speed and makes it susceptible to slower foes such as Alolan Marowak and Mega Venusaur.
- paralysis on a ground type mon, yea glare isn't used at all in mono

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Avalugg, Mega Slowbro, and Skarmory are a few examples of physically defensive walls that can take Mamoswine's attacks and can recover any damage taken.
- irrelevant example, can't remember the last time I saw avalugg.

am check implement what u want

Overview
-----------
- its speed stat isnt too great. talk about that along with some stuff that is able to outspeed it
- name some examples of things that ice coverage hits
*Mamoswine is the only viable Ground-type with access to a priority move, being Ice Shard.
- i dont think this is true with dugtrios sucker punch, may want to take it out for clarification. you can still keep why ice shard is good and what it does though

[Set]
- specify that knock off removes items. u imply this by stating that it cripples porygon2 by lowering its defenses but u dont state exactly how
- victini knocks mamoswine out with some minor chip damage, so it may not be the best example here ( from maroons check above )
- you should mention thick fat helping with ice type moves too along with fire type moves since its definitely something to note for a ground team
*A Jolly nature can be used in order to outspeed checks such as Jolly Breloom and Timid Heatran, though it comes at the cost of extra power attained from an Adamant nature.
- i think you should reword this so that it sounds like jolly is the superior nature. the way this is phrased rn kinda implies that adamant is usually better. u also talk a bit about the jolly nature along with its speed beforehand. reword this so that adamant is the alternative option since jolly is the first slash

Team Options
------------------
- id use keldeo as an example over suicune of what gastrodon can check since getting pp stalled is no fun and physdef gastrodons famous for being able to take 2 spex secret swords from keldeo too, something seismitoad cannot do
- since you mention keeping mamoswine away from burns up in usage tips, talk about how mega steelix can switch into mega sableye carrying will o wisp, absorb it, and heal itself with rest therefore acting as a status sponge for mamoswine

Checks and Counters

Superpower is a good coverage move against Normal- and Steel-types such as Porygon2 and Air Balloon Heatran. Knock Off helps against physically defensive walls such as Porygon2 and Slowbro change this example to another lefties mon non mega slowbro carries colbur berry a lotby hampering their defenses and recovery respectively, as well as being coverage against Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Jellicent and Bronzong Mew i know torkool told u to take it out but i think mews a better example here since plenty of defensive mews also run leftovers + its a muuuch better example than bronzong which is barely used.

Maximum Attack investment when paired with a Choice Band and an Adamant Nature make Mamoswine a threatening physical wallbreaker. Maximum Speed investment along with a Jolly nature allows Mamoswine to outspeed some of its offensive checks, such as Adamant Breloom and Adamant Tapu Bulu without Choice Scarf i think u overuse tapu bulu in this analysis maybe try using another example of what the speed lets it do? preferrably w/ the jolly nature. Thick Fat helps against Fire-types such as Heatran and Victini by halving their Fire-type STAB moves and allowing Mamoswine to revenge kill them mention ice moves when talking about thick fat its important. A Jolly nature can be used in order to outspeed checks such as Jolly Breloom and Timid Heatran, though it comes at the cost of extra power attained from an Adamant nature. An Adamant nature can be used over Jolly blah blah blah

Usage Tips
========

Keep Mamoswine as healthy as possible against Flying teams, as it can reliably damage Flying-types such as Celesteela and Gliscor without having to rely on Gravity Landorus or Rock Slide flinches from Excadrill u have to get an insane amount of flinches if u want to beat these two. It also is crucial against Dragon teams thanks to its Ice Shard priority move being able to revenge kill faster Dragon-types such as Kommo-o and Latios, while Icicle Crash can OHKO or 2HKO all of them. Because Mamoswine is holding a Choice Band, it must be careful of what move it chooses to lock itself into, as it should made it sound more like a usage tip may try to predict what the foe will do. Use Mamoswine to offensively check foes with Ice-type coverage such as Greninja and Thundurus-T, as Thick Fat helps to lessen the damage. However, be cautious of other options from these foes, as they may predict Mamoswine switching in and can deal severe damage to it. Knock Off can be used against Eviolite users such as Chansey and Porygon2 in the early-game to allow teammates such as Excadrill and Landorus to deal heavier damage to them. Additionally, the extra utility of removing the foe's item will decrease their overall usefulness. Mamoswine must be careful of using Superpower, as the drops in its Attack and Defense stats can make it setup bait for foes such as Volcarona and Swords Dance Mega Scizor. Avoid Burns as much as possible, as it severely hinders Mamoswine's ability to break teams.

Landorus holds incredible wallbreaking power on Ground teams thanks to its Life Orb and Sheer Force combination explain what this does for mamoswine. Additionally, Landorus aids Mamoswine by providing Gravity support that allows Mamoswine to spam Earthquake to take care of checks such as Celesteela and Skarmory being able to delete rotom wash is huge use it as an example here, while also being able to use its coverage moves such as Focus Blast and Sludge Wave to threaten some of Mamoswine's checks such as Porygon2 and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu. Gastrodon and Seismitoad are the two viable Ground-types that compensate for Mamoswine's Water-type weakness by being an immunity, though they serve different purposes. Gastrodon's access to Recover and Toxic mention Gastrodon's bulk here over Toxic as it doesn't help it check said Water types it just puts them on a timer make it a fabulous defensive check to foes such as Greninja and Suicune Choice Specs Keldeo better example since Suicune PP stalling Gastrodon isn't fun. Seismitoad however, doesn't have a reliable recovery, but makes up for it by outspeeding and killing Azumarill after a Belly Drum boost, which would otherwise sweep Ground teams Ground can check Azumarill with Pokemon that arent seis u can reword this to "pose a huge threat to Ground teams" if you want. Hippowdon's solid physical bulk, Slack Off recovery, and access to Whirlwind is used to handle physical setup sweepers such as Bisharp and Mega Scizor for Mamoswine. The Sandstorm that Hippowdon provides also chips away at foes and puts them in range of being KOed by Mamoswine. Sand Rush Excadrill works in tandem with Hippowdon by becoming a powerful revenge killer under Sandstorm, and checks fast threats to Mamoswine such as Mega Lopunny, Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu and Zeraora as a result. It can also deal with problematic Fairy-types such as Tapu Bulu under sand, <--better just to condense this and can also clear away entry hazards with Rapid Spin. Garchomp's typing is useful as it provides a neutrality to Grass- and Water- types such as Mega Venusaur and Mantine for Mamoswine, and uses its solid Speed tier and Swords Dance boosts to break them down. Alternatively, Mega Garchomp becomes immensely powerful and assists Mamoswine by using its mixed coverage to break down physical walls such as Celesteela and Skarmory with Fire Blast and also checks Azumarill after a Belly Drum boost. Mega Steelix's incredible defenses assist Mamoswine by checking physical attackers such as Mega Swampert, Tapu Bulu, and even survives Adamant Azumarill's Aqua Jet at +6 Attack to KO it in return with Heavy Slam. Mega Steelix and Mamoswine also create a solid offensive dont think steelix classifies as an offensive pokemon core that effeciently breaks down Dragon teams.

A Life Orb can be utilized over Choice Band, as it allows Mamoswine to freely switch moves. Additionally, Knock Off is recommended to use over Superpower when paired with a Life Orb in order to remain as powerful as possible <--this is confusing rephrase this sentence. However, a Life Orb has less power than a Choice Band and misses out on some notable 2HKOs, namely Celesteela and Ferrothorn. It also forces Mamoswine to take Life Orb recoil after using a move, which is especially detrimental against Flying teams where it needs to be healthy in order to break them down.

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Greninja and Suicune can threaten Mamoswine with their Water-type STAB moves or a potential Scald burn. They also resist Mamoswine's Ice-type STAB moves.

Implemented-ish. Some points I'm kinda confused about so I'll ask more over discord before moving this to GP.

Mamoswine functions as a powerful physical wallbreaker thanks to its incredible Attack stat, as well as its unique and nearly unresisted STAB combination. Notably, Mamoswine is the only viable Ground-type with access to a STAB boosted priority move (RC) being in Ice Shard. This assists Ground teams by having granting them the ability to revenge kill faster, weakened foes such as Mega Lopunny and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu. It (Mamoswine or Ice Shard?) also is incredibly powerful for sweeping Dragon (RH) and Flying teams (RH) late-game, as both types struggle to switch into Mamoswine's Ice-type STAB moves. Mamoswine Also, while powerful, Mamoswine has a predictable moveset that can be played around if pressured correctly. Despite Mamoswine being a powerful wallbreaker, physically defensive walls such as Skarmory and Mega Slowbro can tank Mamoswine's its attacks and can recover their health back.
