Mario Kart Wii

the wifi is the only reason i'm getting this game. mkdd didn't last me very long because i usually play alone, but the online in this game is the best nintendo has ever put forth, but hopefully not the best of what's to come.
 
This game seems cool for the new 12 player concept, but I dunno, I really don't think it will be anything spectacular, the Mario Kart 'formula' has gotten old prety fast for me.

Nice, I've seen seen a couple of Japanese guys at 8000 but other than that thats probably the highest I've heard of. What kart do you use? I generally go for funky kong/mii on the twinkle star
Also I get item haxed alot sometimes so my placing can be hit and miss >:(
What kind of time are usually on? I don't have acess to the wii after dinner at 7:00 ish or something, but we shoul race sometime

edit: @wolt: It differs depending on how many points you already have, so if you had 4000 points and came 1st you'd get more than someone with 7000, also I'm not sure if your opponents points come into play though I'd expect they should.

Well 5th place and above plays the character's victory animation and tune.
I've gotten +0 points before, though, so it might depend.

I hope bikes don't go on to dominate online so you can't win online without one but I suppose it's better than Egg 1 all the time. :/

I use torpedo with Dbowser or magikruiser with koopa, I might use blue falcon on occasion

Edit: on mondays, tuesdays and fridays I'm on from 2:30 PM GMT 'till usually 8:30 GMT.
On wednesdays and thursdays I can play from 1 'till 3. Just PM me on Smogon, I can also play sunday evening.

I hate the twinkle star, but I love funky.
 
Yeah most of the top times are set with the torpedo, but I can't handle it's low drift. Like, at all. Whenever I play with the torpedo I just always slide into walls

edit: also I have yet to unlok the blue falcon as I am only just finishing 150cc and still haven't got stars in 100 and 150 B(

No stars? I reraced every cup 'till I got at least one star. I hated 150CC special, rainbow road has HAX.

Btw, I got my points up to 6400 in one hour today.
 
Man, right now I'm kinda annoyed that there isn't some very clear distinction between expert times and regular times, because I thought I'd unlocked them all but I didn't unlock mii costume 2 so I'm clearly missing one or two, though I don't know which...
Also I got a few stars in 100cc and only one in 150cc. Man, dry bowser is gonna be a bitch to get

Dry bowser? Lol, three stars on flower cup 150CC ^^
To check the times, check if yours is above (quicker)) or below theirs. If it's slower, you have unlocked it.

Btw, for the torpedo, just slide 4/10th of a second earlier.

Also I have been doing that but when my friend came round we were just mucking around not restarting when we fell and stuff to get toadette so sometimes my time is slower than the worse staff time

also why would you slide earlier with the torpedo whaa

Slide earlier to not crash into the wall? Tomorrow afternoon? Then I have plenty of time. And prolly a guest will join. (he sucks, but helped me with points)
