Mario Kart Wii

So I played Mario Kart Wii for the first time today.

It was fun. I never had fun with MK64 or Double Dash, but I had a lot of fun with this game.

My big question is: if I get this game, will you guys still be playing in 2-3 months? I'm going to CA this summer and may not be able to take my Wii along. I want to be able to play with people!


edit: Also doesn't a 150cc bike seem a little, uh, small, to anyone else?
 
Surgo, I'll probably be playing online for a long time considering that it's actually pretty damn good for a Nintendo game. It makes me wish that other Wii/DS games could have this quality of wifi too.

edit: A couple of things, one I got 1:07:059, and two I realized when I got on today that Yoshi Falls is 18 and SNES Ghost valley 2 is 19. So SNES Ghost Valley 2 will be our next course. Sorry about that -_-
Everybody keep trialling Yoshi Falls for this week though, it hasn't changed

Really proud of this one. This time yesterday I could only get around 1:11, until I watched the world record replay.

My best so far (though I havent had long to try it lately) is 1:06:428 so :/ I don't know what I'm doing wrong since I'm using the WR strat
 
Looking at the character stat chart, it doesn't seem Yoshi is that good.. kind of sucks but I'll keep using him like I do in every game. How big is the difference between characters anyway?
 
The dfference is relatively small, bit if you're doing competitive TTing then always go for funky.

Speeaking of TTing, there is now a NEW RULE. IF YOU WANT TO SUBMIT A TIME, YOU MUST ADD ME SO I CAN VERIFY IT.

Im doing this for obvious reasons, and though I don't know if it was accidental, Shiny Crobat submitted 1:05 something but his time was 1:08:805. I don't want to insinuate anything yet so we're just gonna nip this is the bud.

Hmm. Weird. I've added you and i'm pretty sure I can see your TT times. I saw in the request a race thread that your Mii name is Stuart, and there is definitely a Stuart in my friend roster. I'll check later on though, it might be something as silly as I haven't been online since you added me or something.

It's pretty negligible in vs races really. imo the only stat that really matters is speed, and that's only if you want to shave about .3 of a second off of your time in time trials.

Just checked my roster and yeah your Mii is there, with your FC under it, and I can see your times on the rankings part of MK Channel.

Finally broke into 1:01:xxx. 8th in Europe/2nd in Britain.
