OU Mega Heracross (QC 2/1) (GP 1/1)

Felixx

I'm back.

Heracross @ Heracronite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature / Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Rock Blast
- Pin Missile / Substitute / Bullet Seed

Although not quite as popular as its Bug-type brethren, Mega Heracross is a fantastic wallbreaker in the OU tier, with stall becoming an increasingly common playstyle and its massive Attack stat plus Swords Dance letting it smash these bulky teams after a boost. Its almost unique defensive capabilities also allow it to check prominent Grass- and Ground-types such as Tangrowth, Tapu Bulu, and Zygarde. Due to solid coverage options in Rock Blast and Pin Missile, Mega Heracross is able to heavily pressure Fighting-type checks such as Tornadus-T and Mega Latios, leaving the opponent struggling to switch into it. For this reason, Mega Heracross pairs well with other wallbreakers, namely Choice Band Tyranitar, which can deal with some of its checks while also breaking down walls in conjunction with it, and Zygarde, which can weaken Clefable and force out Toxapex. Mega Heracross is definitely an underrated pick in the current metagame, so go ahead and give it a try!

However, Heracross is still easily forced out by the likes of Mega Latios and Tornadus-T, meaning teammates that handle them such as Celesteela and Ferrothorn are appreciated.
I'd much rather have you talk about how it pressures common Fighting resists (Mega Latios and Tornadus-T, for example) thanks to its solid coverage options.

Somewhere in the beginning talk about Stall becoming an increasingly viable pick, which caused Mega Heracross to become better as it has a very good stall matchup.

This looks solid, 1/1.

Although not quite as popular as it's other its Bug-type brethren, Mega Heracross is a fantastic wallbreaker in the OU tier, (AC) with stall becoming an increasingly common playstyle (RC) and it's its massive Attack stat plus Swords Dance lets letting it smash these bulky teams after a boost. (AP) while also having Its almost unique defensive capabilities that also allow it to check prominent Grass- and Ground-types such as Tangrowth, Tapu Bulu, and Zygarde. Due to solid coverage options in Rock Blast and Pin Missile, Mega Heracross is able to heavily pressure Fighting resists checks such as Tornadus-T and Mega Latios, leaving the opponent struggling to switch into it. (add some transition like "For this reason" here is that's accurate, reads rly choppy) Mega Heracross pairs well with other wallbreakers, namely Choice Band Tyranitar, which can deal with some of it's its checks while also breaking down walls in conjunction with it, and Zygarde, which can weaken Clefable and force out Toxapex.
