1v1 Mega Tyranitar ( QC 3 / 3 ) ( GP 2 / 2 ) ( DONE )

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Tyranitar is a slow, bulky offensive Pokemon that is capable of tanking powerful super effective moves from Pokemon like Genesect, Magnezone, and Heatran and KOing them back. It has one of the highest Attack stats available in the 1v1 metagame, with access to useful STAB moves in Rock Tomb and Crunch, coverage moves like Iron Head, Fire Punch, Superpower, and Earthquake, and utility moves like Dragon Dance and Taunt, which allow it to take on a large number of Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, Genesect, Greninja, Mega Slowbro, and Heatran. Good bulk and a fantastic ability in Sand Stream, which raises its Special Defense by 50%, allow it to tank a number of strong attacks with appropriate defensive investment, Mega Tyranitar can tank two Outrages from Mega Charizard X, a Bug Buzz from Download-boosted Choice Specs Genesect, and a Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Greninja. Its typing also gives it the upper hand versus Fire-, Normal-, and Ghost-types like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Porygon-Z, and Mega Gengar and gives it an immunity to Psychic-type moves from Pokemon like Necrozma. However, Rock is a weak defensive typing, and Mega Tyranitar has difficulty getting around stall because it has to give up arguably more valuable coverage moves for Taunt in order to do so. Mega Tyranitar is also a slow Pokemon, and this presents major drawbacks in its usage. It also has weaknesses to common attacking types in the 1v1 metagame, such as Fighting, Ground, Water, and Grass. As a result, it gets countered by the likes of Mega Lopunny, Landorus-T, Mega Gyarados, and Kartana.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
=======

Rock Tomb slows down faster foes like Dragonite and Magnezone, allowing Mega Tyranitar to move first and KO them afterwards. Also, Rock Tomb's high accuracy means it is more reliable compared to Tyranitar's other Rock-type STAB moves. Fire Punch helps defeat Steel-type Pokemon like Genesect, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Earthquake is used to KO some Steel-types like Magnezone and Heatran. Taunt is also an option against stall Pokemon like Jumpluff, Deoxys-S, and Type: Null. Superpower allows Mega Tyranitar to defeat certain some Normal- and Dark-type Pokemon like Porygon-Z and opposing Mega Tyranitar, while Crunch could be used as another STAB move to defeat Psychic-type Pokemon like Meloetta.

Set Details
=======

252 HP and 72 Defense EVs allow Mega Tyranitar to two Outrages from maximum Attack Mega Charizard X. 52 Special Defense EVs alongside the Special Defense boost from Sand Stream help it to tank a Bug Buzz from Download-boosted Choice Specs Genesect and a Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Greninja. The remaining 72 EVs are put into Attack, which, when coupled with an Adamant nature, helps Mega Tyranitar KO Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Magnezone, Genesect, and Heatran.

Usage Tips
=======

Against pre-Mega Charizard, it is always better to start off with Rock Tomb; if it is Mega Charizard Y, Rock Tomb KOes it , and if it is Mega Charizard X, a follow-up Earthquake will usually KO it. When matched up against Choice Specs Greninja, start off with Fire Punch. If Greninja uses Hydro Cannon, you can knock it out the next turn with Earthquake, but if Greninja used Grass Knot, Fire Punch along with Sandstorm usually OHKOes it. Against Magnezone and Heatran, always use Rock Tomb followed by Earthquake, since Heatran usually has Air Balloon as the held item, and Magnezone has Sturdy as its ability. Against stall Pokemon like Jumpluff, Deoxys-S, and Mega Slowbro, Mega Evolve Tyranitar after five turns to maximize sand damage. If you have Taunt, always start off by using Taunt against Jumpluff and Type: Null, but against Deoxys-S, start off by using Rock Tomb, and after four uses of Rock Tomb, use Taunt. At this point, Mega Tyranitar outspeeds Deoxys-S and can force it to Struggle with Taunt. When up against Slowbro, if Tyranitar has Crunch and Taunt, use Crunch on the first turn. If Slowbro was Mega Evolved, use Taunt to block its recovery, but if Slowbro was not, use Crunch again, since Slowbro's ability Oblivious blocks Taunt.

Team Options
=======

Since Mega Tyranitar is weak to Ground-type attacks from Pokemon like Garchomp, Landorus-T, Donphan, and Golem, bulky Pokemon like Mega Heracross and fast Pokemon like Mega Gyarados can be paired to counter said threats. These Pokemon can take advantage of Mega Tyranitar's ability to KO their common counters like bulky Mega Charizard Y. Since Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Heracross can KO Mega Tyranitar easily, Fairy-type Pokemon like Magearna and Primarina fare well as teammates. In this case, Primarina is the better option, since it can additionally be used to KO Sturdy users and lure Magnezone for Mega Tyranitar to defeat. Since Mega Tyranitar is vulnerable to physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Mega Sableye, Mega Aggron, and Pyukumuku, stallbreakers like Mega Charizard Y and Mega Gardevoir are solid team options. Since Mega Tyranitar is weak to bulky Water-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Mega Swampert, and Tapu Fini, bulky Grass-type Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn can be used. In turn, these Pokemon appreciate Mega Tyranitar taking care of their Fire- and Flying-type weaknesses.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=======

A fully defensive set with Counter or Foul Play can be used against Pokemon like Garchomp and Mega Gyarados, but this can be countered by setup from the aforementioned Pokemon. As a check to some Ground-type Pokemon, Mega Tyranitar can use a set of Ice Beam, Iron Defense, Rest, and Rock Tomb, which notably beats Donphan, Golem, Zygarde, and non-Groundium Z Landorus-T.

Checks and Counters
=======

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Heracross counter Mega Tyranitar because Mega Tyranitar is 4x weak to Fighting.

**Grass-types**: Most Grass-type Pokemon like Mega Venusaur are bulky enough to tank Mega Tyranitar's attacks and wear it down, while fast Grass-types like Kartana outspeed Mega Tyranitar and can KO it before it gets the chance to retaliate

**Water-types**: Most of the commonly used Water-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Tapu Fini are able to KO Mega Tyranitar without being KOed by it because of their good Defense. However, Stone Edge from Mega Tyranitar has a good chance of beating Primarina.

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon like Mega Mawile and Mega Metagross are able to KO Mega Tyranitar with their strong STAB moves.

**Ground-types **: Ground-type Pokemon are ubiquitous in the 1v1 metagame, and all of them, such as Donphan, Landorus-T, Golem, Zygarde, and Garchomp, can easily take out Mega Tyranitar.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Mega Tyranitar is vulnerable to physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Mega Sableye, Mega Aggron, and Pyukumuku, which are able to survive Mega Tyranitar’s attacks and PP stall it or defeat it with Leech Seed or Toxic.

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Tyranitar is a slow, bulky offensive Pokemon, which is capable of tanking powerful super effective moves from Pokemon like Genesect, Magnezone, and Heatran, and KOing them back. It has a 164 Base Attack stat, one of the best available for the 1v1 metagame, with access to strong STAB moves in Stone Edge and Crunch, coverage moves like Iron Head, Fire Punch, Superpower, and Earthquake, and utility moves like Dragon Dance and Taunt, which allow it to take on a large number of Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, Genesect, Greninja and Heatran, and defeat them. It has good 100 / 150 / 120 bulk, with a fantastic ability in Sand Stream, raising Mega Tyranitar's Special Defense by one stage. It increases SpD by the equivalence of one stage. Reword so as not to confuse With appropriate investment, this lets Mega Tyranitar tank up to a Outrage from +2 Mega Charizard X <-reword, a Bug Buzz from Special Attack Download-boosted Choice Specs Genesect, and a Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Greninja, to name a few. Its typing also gives it key resistances to Fire-, Normal-, and Ghost-types like Mega Charizard, Porygon-Z, and Mega Gengar and gives it an immunity to Psychic-type moves from Pokemon like Necrozma. However, Rock is a weak defensive typing, and Mega Tyranitar has difficulty getting around stall because it has to give up arguably more valuable coverage in order to do so. Moves
=======

Either Rock Tomb or Stone Edge can be used as STAB moves. While Stone Edge hits harder and KOes foes like bulky Mega Charizard X, Rock Tomb slows down faster foes like Dragonite and Magnezone, allowing Mega Tyranitar to KO them in the consecutive turns. Also, Rock Tomb is more reliable because of higher accuracy, though Stone Edge has a higher critical hit ratio. Fire Punch can be used. Fire Punch can be used to hit Steel-type Pokemon like Genesect, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Earthquake is in this set to KO some Steel-types like Magnezone, and Heatran. Doesn't Superpower beat both of those too? Give actualy examples of what EQ beats or remove it Taunt can also be used as an option against Pokemon like Jumpluff, Deoxys-S, and Type: Null. Superpower or Crunch can be used as the fourth move. Superpower can be used to KO some Normal- and Dark-type Pokemon like Porygon-Z, Snorlax, and opposing Mega Tyranitar while Crunch can be used as a STAB move to defeat Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon like Meloetta, and Mega Gengar Doesn't it beat both of those Pokemon regardless of whether or not it uses Crunch? Again, give real examples or remove it.

Set Details
=======

248 HP and 64 Defense EVs allows Mega Tyranitar to tank an Outrage from +2 maximum Attack Mega Charizard X reword to note that it tanks two Outrage instead of one +2 Outrage. The 100 Special Defence EVs investment with Sand Stream as the ability helps it to tank a Bug Buzz from Special Attack Download-boosted Choice Specs Genesect, and a Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Protean-boosted Greninja. The remaining 76 EVs are put into Attack which, when coupled with an Adamant nature, help KO Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Magnezone, Genesect, and Heatran.

Usage Tips
=======
Against Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y, it is always better to start off with Rock Tomb; if it were Mega Charizard Y, Rock Tomb kills, but if it was Mega Charizard X, it usually doesn't kill, so follow it up with Earthquake, since it does more damage on Mega Charizard X than Rock Tomb. When matched up against Choice Specs Greninja, start off with Fire Punch. If Greninja had used Hydro Cannon, you can KO the next turn with Earthquake, but if Greninja used Grass Knot, Fire Punch along with Sandstorm usually OHKOes. Against Magnezone and Heatran, always use Rock Tomb followed by Earthquake. Against stall Pokemon like , mega evolve Tyranitar after 5 turns to maximise the turns that cause Sandstorm damage. If you have Taunt, always start off by using Taunt against Jumpluff and Type: Null, but against Deoxys-S, start off by using Rock Tomb, and after 4 Rock Tombs, use Taunt. At this point, you outspeed Deoxys-S, and Taunt brings it to Struggle. What I'm seeing is that you're assuming that they're running Rock Tomb despite slashing it with Stone Edge. I personally think Tomb is near-mandatory so you might want to unslash Edge and then Slash it in with the coverage options. You could also modify this section to be inclusive of Stone Edge

Team Options

Here, bulky Primarina finds better usage because it can additionally be used to KO Sturdy users and in turn, lure Magnezone for Mega Tyranitar to defeat. A fully defensive set with Counter or Foul Play can be used against Pokemon like Garchomp and Mega Gyarados, but this can be countered by setup from the mentioned Pokemon. As a soft check to Ground-type Pokemon, Avalanche with enough defensive investment to survive a STAB Earthquake from Landorus-T can be used, but again this is susceptible to setup, which can't be countered using Mega Tyranitar. Mega TTar has a better set than Avalanche to beat Ground-types. It uses Ice Beam, Iron Defense, Rest and Rock Tomb, and notably beats Donphan, Golem and Zygarde (and non-Groundium Landorus). Replace the Avalanche set with that.

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Heracross counter Mega Tyranitar because Mega Tyranitar is 4x weak to Fighting.

**Grass-types**: Most Grass-type Pokemon are either bulky enough to tank Mega Tyranitar's attacks, like Mega Venusaur, while some others are faster than Mega Tyranitar, like Kartana.

**Water-types**: Most of the commonly used Water-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Primarina and Tapu Fini are able to KO Mega Tyranitar without being KOed by it because of their good defenses. Stone Edge TTar can actually beat Primarina

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon like Mega Mawile and Mega Metagross are able to KO Mega Tyranitar with their strong STAB moves.

**Ground-type Pokemon**: Ground-type Pokemon are ubiquitous in the 1v1 metagame, and all of them, like Donphan, Landorus-T, Golem, Zygarde, and Garchomp, can easily take out Mega Tyranitar

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Mega Tyranitar is vulnerable to physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Mega Sableye, Mega Aggron, and Pyukumuku, which are able to survive Mega Tyranitar’s attacks and PP stall or defeat it with Leech Seed or Toxic.

Overview
- Mention its weaknesses in Fighting type and give examples of powerful attackers like Chomp.

Moves
- I don't know if the first line is required or make it say Rock Tomb is its Rock-type STAB instead. For higher accuracy add in that the accuracy is higher in comparison to Stone Edge.
- Taunt: state that it can be used to get past stall in that line.

Set Details
- It's not 64 Def it's 84.
- No need to say Protean-boosted for Greninja.

Checks and Counters
- Grass: Some others are faster like Kartana; then also add in that it can OHKO Mega Tyranitar before it gets a chance to retaliate.

Good Job

Superpower can be used to KO some Normal- and Dark-type Pokemon like Porygon-Z, Snorlax, Superpower isn't killing any Snorlax besides 0 Def and 0 HP, which isn't a set. I'd find a different example or you can say Superpower helps defeat Yawn Lax. and opposing Mega Tyranitar, while Crunch can be used as a STAB move to defeat Psychic-type Pokemon like Meloetta.

hey friend here's an am gp of your analysis.

Overall, this was a pretty good analysis. There were a couple of issues in terms of clarity and I commented on all of those below. There were times in which your wording got a tad redundant for my liking and I tried to change up those instances. Beyond that I don't think there were any recurring issues that come to mind.

Not grammar related but some of the teammate language is a tad confusing to me given that teammates don't necessarily "lure" pokemon the way they do in other metagames (at least as i understand it!). I don't really know what is accepted verbiage in general for this metagame but I tried to point out areas that I felt did not convey information in a clear manner to a general person who isn't entirely familiar with all of the nuances of 1v1.

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Tyranitar is a slow, bulky offensive Pokemon,(RC) which that is capable of tanking powerful super effective moves from Pokemon like Genesect, Magnezone, and Heatran,(RC) and KOing them back. It has a base 164 Base Attack stat, one of the highest best available in for the 1v1 metagame, with access to strong STAB moves in Stone Edge and Crunch mentioned edge is kinda weird since it isn't even a move on the set, crunch is mentioned but not the first listed, coverage moves like Iron Head, Fire Punch, Superpower, and Earthquake, and utility moves like Dragon Dance and Taunt, which allow it to take on a large number of Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, Genesect, Greninja, Mega Slowbro,(AC) and Heatran,(RC) and defeat them. It has good 100 / 150 / 120 imo this is just repeating stats already on the page. you can choose to keep or not bulk,(RC) with and a fantastic ability in Sand Stream, which raises raising Mega Tyranitar's Special Defense by 50% the equivalence of one stage. With appropriate defensive investment, this lets Mega Tyranitar can tank up to two Outrages from Mega Charizard X, a Bug Buzz from Special Attack Download-boosted Choice Specs Genesect, and a Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Greninja, to name a few. Its typing also gives it the upper hand versus Fire-, Normal-, and Ghost-types like Mega Charizard Charzard X, Mega Charizard Y, Porygon-Z, and Mega Gengar and gives it an immunity to Psychic-type moves from Pokemon like Necrozma the last part of the sentence borders on the obvious and unnecessary - i'm guessing necrozma is an important matchup, so I would recommend either combining it with your other examples or expanding it to say how it lets it negates psychic attacks from pokemon in general. However, Rock is a weak defensive typing ? but you just said it's SpD is good? are you referring to its Defense? , and Mega Tyranitar has difficulty getting around stall because it has to give up arguably more valuable coverage moves in order to do so. It also has weaknesses to common attacking types in the 1v1 metagame, such as Fighting-, Ground-, Water-, and Grass-type Pokemon,(RC) all of which are common offensive presence in the metagame. So As a result,(AC) it gets countered by the likes of Mega Lopunny, Landorus-T, Mega Gyarados and Kartana. Mega Tyranitar is also a slow Pokemon, and this presents major drawbacks in its usage. move this entence to after you talk about ttar's defenses before talking about Rock typing. I think this maintains better flow so you aren't jumping from topic to topic.

Rock Tomb is this set's STAB move of choice, as it ,(RC) as the STAB move,(RC) slows down faster foes like Dragonite and Magnezone, allowing Mega Tyranitar to move first and KO them afterwards in the consecutive turns. Also, Rock Tomb's high accuracy means it is more reliable because of higher accuracy compared to its Tyranitar's other Rock-type STAB Rock moves. Fire Punch can be used. Fire Punch can be used to hit Steel-type Pokemon like Genesect, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Earthquake is used in this set to KO some Steel-types like Magnezone,(RC) and Heatran. Taunt can also be used as an option against stall Pokemon like Jumpluff, Deoxys-S, and Type: Null. Superpower or Crunch can be used as the fourth move. redundant Superpower can be used to defeat certain some Normal- and Dark-type Pokemon like Porygon-Z, Snorlax, and opposing Mega Tyranitar,(AC) while Crunch can be used as another STAB move that to defeats Psychic-type Pokemon like Meloetta. word usage gets repetitive ("x move can be used"). might want to consider shaking it up

Set Details
=======

252 HP and 84 Defense EVs allows Mega Tyranitar to tank a couple I think it would be important to be more precise here - either with a specific number or by saying something like "tank Outrage from zard and KO back" of Outrage from maximum Attack Mega Charizard X. The 100 Special Defense Defence EVs investment with alongside the Special Defense boost from Sand Stream as the ability helps it to tank a Bug Buzz from Special Attack Download-boosted Choice Specs Genesect,(RC) and a Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Greninja. The remaining 72 EVs are put into Attack which, when coupled with an Adamant nature, help KO Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Magnezone, Genesect, and Heatran.

Usage Tips
=======
add line break
Against pre-Mega Evolved Charizard Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y, it is always better to start off with Rock Tomb; if it is were Mega Charizard Y, Rock Tomb kills, but even if it is was Mega Charizard X, it usually doesn't kill, so follow it up with Earthquake, since it does more damage to on Mega Charizard X than Rock Tomb. The way this is worded seems pretty obvious - I know what you're trying to get it I think though. I would remove everything after "if it is Mega Charizard X..." and then say something like "even if it is Mega Charizard X, the Speed drop lets Tyranitar knock it out with EQ". I think that better communicates the usefulness of Rock Tomb in this situation When matched up against Choice Specs Greninja, start off with Fire Punch. If Greninja uses had used Hydro Cannon, you can KO knock it out the next turn with Earthquake, but if Greninja uses used Grass Knot, Fire Punch along with Sandstorm usually OHKOes. This set of sentences is confusing - what's the point of using fpunch in the first place? why not just use eq to start? Against Magnezone and Heatran, always use Rock Tomb followed by Earthquake. why? Against stall Pokemon like Jumpluff, Deoxys-S, and Mega Slowbro, Mega Evolve Tyranitar after five 5 turns to maximize maximise the turns that cause Sandstorm damage. If you have Taunt, always start off by using Taunt against Jumpluff and Type: Null, but against Deoxys-S, start off by using Rock Tomb, and after 4 four Rock Tombs, use Taunt. At this point, you Mega Tyranitar outspeeds Deoxys-S, and can Taunt it to force brings it to Struggle. When up against Slowbro, if you Tyranitar has Crunch have them, use it Crunch on the first turn. If Slowbro was Mega Evolves evolved, use Taunt to block its recovery, but if Slowbro was not Mega evolved,(RC) otherwise use another Crunch again, since Slowbro's ability has Oblivious which blocks Taunt. what if you don't have crunch?
You used past tense a lot in this paragraph - it makes more sense to stick to present tense since this all happening as the battle progresses (ie none of this has occurred yet)

Since Mega Tyranitar is weak to Ground-type attacks from Pokemon like Garchomp and Landorus-T and Pokemon with Sturdy like Donphan and Golem, bulky Pokemon like Mega Heracross and or fast Pokemon like Mega Gyarados can be used to counter said threats. In this context, fast Mega Gyarados can be used as well. prev sentence doesn't make sense contextually and is redundant so i removed These Pokemon can take advantage of Mega Tyranitar's ability to KO its their common counters i assume "its" is not talking about tar here like bulky Mega Charizard Y. Since Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Heracross can KO Mega Tyranitar easily, Fairy-type Pokemon like Magearna and Primarina can be used as a teammates. Here, bulky Primarina finds better usage In this case, Primarina is the better teammate because it can additionally be used to KO Sturdy users and in turn,(RC) lure Magnezone for Mega Tyranitar to defeat. Since Mega Tyranitar is vulnerable to physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Mega Sableye, Mega Aggron, and Pyukumuku, stallbreakers like Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Gardevoir are solid teammates can be used. Since Mega Tyranitar is weak to bulky Water- and Grass-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Mega Swampert, and Tapu Fini, bulky Grass-type Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Kartana, and Ferrothorn are worthwhile teammates can be used. In turn, these Pokemon appreciate Mega Tyranitar taking care of their Fire- and Flying-type weaknesses. again, "can be used" makes this paragraph sound quite redundant. I changed up some of the wording. Feel free to do the same

A fully defensive set with Counter or Foul Play can be used to combat against Pokemon like Garchomp and Mega Gyarados, but this can be countered by setup from the aforementioned Pokemon. As a soft check to Ground-type Pokemon, Mega Tyranitar can use a set of Ice Beam, Iron Defense, Rest and Rock Tomb, which notably beats Donphan, Golem, Zygarde, and non-Groundium Z Landorus).

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Heracross counter Mega Tyranitar because Mega Tyranitar is 4x weak to Fighting.

**Grass-types**: Most Grass-type Pokemon like Mega Venusaur are either bulky enough to tank Mega Tyranitar's attacks and wear its HP down,(RC) like Mega Venusaur,(RC) while others fast Grass-types like Kartana are faster than outspeed Mega Tyranitar and can KO it KOs Mega Tyranitar before it gets the chance to retaliate KO, like Kartana.

**Water-types**: Most of the commonly used Water-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Primarina and Tapu Fini are able to KO Mega Tyranitar without being KOed by it because of their good Defense defenses. However, Stone Edge from Mega Tyranitar has a good chance of beating Primarina.

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon like Mega Mawile and Mega Metagross are able to KO Mega Tyranitar with their strong STAB moves.

**Ground-type Pokemon**: Ground-type Pokemon are ubiquitous in the 1v1 metagame, and all of them, such as like Donphan, Landorus-T, Golem, Zygarde, and Garchomp, can easily take out Mega Tyranitar

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Tyranitar is a slow, bulky offensive Pokemon that is capable of tanking powerful super effective moves from Pokemon like Genesect, Magnezone, and Heatran and KOing them back. It has a base 164 Attack stat, (RC) one of the highest Attack stats available in the 1v1 metagame, with access to utilitarian useful (or whatever you want to change it to but try to keep in mind the audience of these) STAB moves in Rock Tomb and Crunch, coverage moves like Iron Head, Fire Punch, Superpower, and Earthquake, and utility moves like Dragon Dance and Taunt, which allow it to take on a large number of Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, Genesect, Greninja, Mega Slowbro,(AC) (this ac comment was left over from the amcheck so remove it and be more careful when implementing. keep comma though) and Heatran. It has good bulk and a fantastic ability in Sand Stream, which raises Mega Tyranitar's Special Defense by 50%. With appropriate defensive investment, Mega Tyranitar can tank up to two Outrages from Mega Charizard X (it either lives 2 or it doesnt; no need to say up to), a Bug Buzz from Special Attack Download-boosted Choice Specs Genesect, and a Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Greninja, (RC) to name a few (don't use phrases like "and many more" or similar in analyses). Its typing also gives it the upper hand versus Fire-, Normal-, and Ghost-types like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Porygon-Z, and Mega Gengar and gives it an immunity to Psychic-type moves from Pokemon like Necrozma. However, Rock is a weak defensive typing, and Mega Tyranitar has difficulty getting around stall because it has to give up arguably more valuable coverage moves for Taunt (explains the point) in order to do so. Mega Tyranitar is also a slow Pokemon, and this presents major drawbacks in its usage. It also has weaknesses to common attacking types in the 1v1 metagame, such as Fighting-, Ground-, Water-, and Grass-type Pokemon Fighting, Ground, Water, and Grass. (you're listing the types not pokemon) As a result, it gets countered by the likes of Mega Lopunny, Landorus-T, Mega Gyarados, (AC) (serial / oxford comma is used) and Kartana.

Moves
=======

Rock Tomb is this set's STAB move of choice, as it a STAB move that slows down faster foes like Dragonite and Magnezone, allowing Mega Tyranitar to move first and KO them afterwards. Also, Rock Tomb's high accuracy means it is more reliable compared to Tyranitar's other Rock-type STAB Rock moves. Superpower facilitates allows Mega Tyranitar to defeat certain some Normal- and Dark-type Pokemon like Porygon-Z, Snorlax, and opposing Mega Tyranitar,(AC) (delete comment; bolding all other comments left from the amcheck) while Crunch could be used as another STAB move that to defeats Psychic-type Pokemon like Meloetta.

Set Details

252 HP and 72 Defense EVs allows allow Mega Tyranitar to tank a couple of two (more specific) Outrages from maximum Attack Mega Charizard X. 52 Special Defense EVs alongside the Special Defense boost from Sand Stream helps it to tank a Bug Buzz from Special Attack Download-boosted Choice Specs Genesect and a Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Greninja. The remaining 72 EVs are put into Attack which, when coupled with an Adamant nature, help KO Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Magnezone, Genesect, and Heatran.

Usage Tips
=======

Against pre-Mega Evolved Charizard, it is always better to start off with Rock Tomb; if it is Mega Charizard Y, Rock Tomb kills KOes it (don't use kill in a mons context; pokemon don't die), but if it is Mega Charizard X, it usually doesn't kill, so follow it up with Earthquake, since it does more damage on to Mega Charizard X than Rock Tomb. When matched up against Choice Specs Greninja, start off with Fire Punch. If Greninja uses Hydro Cannon, you can knock it out the next turn with Earthquake, but if Greninja used Grass Knot, Fire Punch along with Sandstorm usually OHKOes it. Against Magnezone and Heatran, always use Rock Tomb followed by Earthquake. why? (that was a comment from the amcheck. address it. doesn't eq ohko tran anyways and only mag has sturdy here) Against stall Pokemon like Jumpluff, Deoxys-S, and Mega Slowbro, Mega Evolve Tyranitar after five turns to maximize Sandstorm damage. If you have Taunt, always start off by using Taunt against Jumpluff and Type: Null, but against Deoxys-S, start off by using Rock Tomb, and after 4 four Rock Tombs, use Taunt. At this point, Mega Tyranitar outspeeds Deoxys-S, and can Taunt it to force it to Struggle with Taunt (don't use moves as verbs if you can avoid). When up against Slowbro, if Tyranitar has Crunch and Taunt, use Crunch on the first turn. If Slowbro was Mega Evolved, use Taunt to block its recovery, but if Slowbro was not Mega evolved, use another Crunch again, since Slowbro's ability Oblivious which blocks Taunt. (this wasn't implemented properly at all. you also didn't address the amchecker's comment) (in this section you don't really mention when to / when not to send it out or generalise what it does against more threats because all that's here are specific examples of like 5 matchups that doesn't really show the meta as a whole)

Team Options
=======

Since Mega Tyranitar is weak to Ground-type attacks from Pokemon like Garchomp, Landorus-T, Donphan, and Golem and Landorus-T and Pokemon with Sturdy like Donphan and Golem (how is having sturdy relevant to a ground weakness), bulky Pokemon like Mega Heracross and fast Pokemon like Mega Gyarados can be paired with Mega Tyranitar to counter said threats. (space) These Pokemon can take advantage of Mega Tyranitar's ability to KO their common counters like bulky Mega Charizard Y. Since Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Heracross can KO Mega Tyranitar easily, Fairy-type Pokemon like Magearna and Primarina fares fare (agreement) well as teammates. In this case, Primarina is the better option, (AC same deal as comma before as) since it can additionally be used to KO Sturdy users and lure Magnezone for Mega Tyranitar to defeat. Since Mega Tyranitar is vulnerable to physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Mega Sableye, Mega Aggron, and Pyukumuku, stallbreakers like Mega Charizard Y and Mega Gardevoir are solid teammates that can be used. Since Mega Tyranitar is weak to bulky Water-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Mega Swampert, and Tapu Fini, bulky Grass-type Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Kartana, and Ferrothorn can be used. A fully defensive set with Counter or Foul Play can be used against Pokemon like Garchomp and Mega Gyarados, but this can be countered by setup from the aforementioned Pokemon.
