Metagross (Analysis)

It's actually quite good. Timid lets you outspeed a whole lot of slow walls so you can Encore them into a support move to run it out of PP.

2- Timid Wobbuffet is the only Wobbuffet set that is recommended on the analysis (AC mentions aside).
You might want to check out the Wobbuffet analysis and look at Skarmory's Re-Write (EV Spread adapted to be faster than TimidWobb).

I'll admit TimidWobb may sound weird, but it's insanely good and works wonders. It should not be underestimated.

EDIT: This reminds me, Skarmory's Speed Stat is now 181 on every set, which means that the Mixed set EV Spread is currently outdated (as 92 Speed EVs used to let Metagross outspeed Skarmory). I also fixed my previous post's EV spread suggestion, which is now 232 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Spe to outspeed TimidWobb and 228 HP / 252 Atk / 28 Spe to outspeed Skarmory.
 
You do realize Metagross uses Clear Body as its ability, disabling any stat reductions. Also, outrunning this specific Skarmory can considered Speed creep. Outrunning Skarmory is also pretty unnecessary since Metagross uses Hammer Arm.

Anyway, what about being Encore bait?
 
Wobbuffet is okay, since it can only reach this much Speed after a Timid nature and maximum EVs. You shouldn't try to outrun Skarmory, since it's also trying to outrun Wobb.
 
Hone Claws

I run a Hone Claws Metagross as a bulky sweeper

Item: Leftovers
-Hone Claws
-Meteor Mash
-Earthquake
-Ice Punch
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252HP, 252 Atk, 4 Def
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Clear Body

Basically it sets up its Hone Claws and proceeds to tear up unready teams
Mash for STAB, Quake for stopping Ferrothorn without taking Thorns damage, and Ice Punch for Dragons and the occasional Gyarados
 
On Stealth Rock, can we get rid of Air Balloon? He can usually take at least one from Hippowdon, Swampert and other bulky ground types, and having a fire/status resist for a turn is just great. If Earthquakes easily killed Meta then we'd have used Shuca last gen. Also, it shouldn't be switching into them anyway.
