---------------------------------------------------------
Well I'm quite new here to Smogon, but have been battling on Wi-fi for quite a bit now I already know about tiers and what not and i have to say the tiers are really accurate. I'm not really a fan of OU's since I find them boring and very predictable at times, so i mix up my teams and put whatever fits in the team well and fills a purpose.

- I dont want to use common movesets.
- No more than 2 OU or Bl pokemon
- If you can just suggest different movesets, items and natures that would be helpful since I don't really want to change the pokemon.

In Depth:

gyarados.png

Gyarados @ berry lowers rock super-effectiveness
EVs: 252 Atk - 252 Spe - 4 Hp
Trait: Intimidate
Nature: Jolly (+Spe -SAtk)
- Dragon dance
- Aqua tail
- Ice fang
- Earthquake

Ev Spread: The Ev spread for this gyarados is to outrun other +speed nature,252 ev,base 80 speed pokemon like Dragonite witch can hurt Gyarados pretty bad. The attack evs are just to give Gyarados that extra umph in its attacks.

Role/Purpose: Gyarados's main role in this team is to perform a sweep. He will be up first along with Marowak while Gyarados's DDing, nothing will be able to take it out in the first turn since Marowak will just absorb any electric attacks thrown at Gyarados with lightning rod, and also Gyarados's berry will protect it form a Super effective rock attack. After the first or second turn Gyarados just goes apeshit on the other team along with Marowak helping a bit.

marowak.png

Marowak @ Thick Club
Trait: Lightning rod
EVs: 252 HP - 252 Def - 4 attack
Nature: Relaxed (+Def -Spe)
- Bonemerang or Earthquake (you chose)
- Rock Slide
- Toxic
- undecided

Ev Spread
: This ev spead Makes Marowak a perfect candidate for being a physical wall with his good defence and ok Hp with this moveset Marowak should be able to take almost any non super effective physical move without much trouble and with Thick Club he can be quite offensive as well. I like to think of him as a mini rhyperior.

Role/Purpose: Marowaks main goal is to protect Gyarados from any electric type moves while also getting some damage in and helping out Gyarados. He also serves as a Physical wall.

togekiss.png

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
Evs:252 Hp - 252 SDef - 4 SAtk
Nature: Calm (+SDef -Atk)
- Air slash
- T-wave
- Follow Me
- Heat wave

Ev spread: This ev spread lets Togekiss survive at least 1 unboosted Thunder from a gengar or a jolteon. Also this lets me protect Gyarados some more if he still lives.

Role/Purpose
: Togekiss is mainly used to flinch th crap out of any pokemon while Togekiss's partner gets some hits in on other pokemon. If Gyarados's partner Marowak faints than out comes Togekiss to let Gyarados either get some more boosts if i don't expect the opposing pokemon have any priority moves or to let Gyarados get some hits in on the other pokemon.

kangaskhan.png

Kangaskhan @ Silk scarf
Trait: Scrappy
Evs: 252 Atk - 252 Spe - 4 Def
Nature: Jolly (+Spe -SAtk)
- Fake out
- Sucker punch
- Return
- Brick Break

Ev spread
: This Ev spread lets Kangaskhan outrun lots of things and with the attack evs can do a hefty amount of damage to things like dragonite and if i get the Brickbreak on this soccer mom she can easily take out T-tar.

Role/Purpose
: Kangas main purpose is to take out T-tar and Gengars which can put some dents in my team. The plan is to fakeout Gengar or T-tar to get some damage in and avoid F-sash then either return gengar or Brick break T-tar and just get rid of them.

spiritomb.png

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Nature: Relaxed or Sassy you chose
Evs: 252 HP - 128 Defence - 128 SDef

- Will-o-wisp
- Toxic
- Confuse ray
- Pain split,suckerpunch,darkpulse

Ev spread: Spiritoms ev spread makes him a tank and lets him survive any unboosted attack, this lets him annoy the crap out of any pokemon that doesnt have substitute or taunt while still taking it out with status moves.

Role/Purpose: Annoy the crap out of people.

mismagius.png

Mismagius @ choice scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk - 252 Spe - 4 Hp
Nature: Modest
- Calm mind
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
- Shadowball

Ev spread: This spread lets Mismagius trick a bulky pokemon and maybe get its lefties if i expect a toxic orb or something i will just switch out or get in some hits. If i get someone tricked into a Choice scarf most will switch while i get up a calm mind and go for a sweepish type offencive type thingy.

Role/Purpose: Mismagius's purpose is to trick others into a choice scarf and ruin their strategy and kind of go for a sweep after wards.

Hey, good to see someone trying out the Doubles game. Since you're new, I'm not sure if you'll know that Pokemon Online battle sim supports doubles, so you can test team changes before making them there, if you'd like.

Anyway as for the rate, there are a few issues I see with your team as it is.

Gyarados could possibly utilise a more bulky spread, allowing it greater chance to survive once it's got a few boosts in and capitalising on its decent bulk. I'd pick something you want to outspeed after one boost and then shift the spare EVs to defences at least. Use the speed tiers here: http://www.smogon.com/dp/articles/ou_speed_tiers to determine what you want to beat after a boost.

In my opinion its item currently does nothing for it. If you see a strong rock attacker like TTar on turn one, you are probably better trying to get rid of it before it hits you, or switching if it will outspeed and you don't want to take the damage (though more bulk will help drastically with Rock Slides from Aero etc). You have a few options - the traditional Lefties/LO for damage or survivability, or maybe a Lum Berry to help counter sleep leads which cause you issues at present, as well as ignore status like Burn.

Finally, consider Taunt over an attack (Ice Fang/EQ). At present you have nothing to prevent Trick Room in particular from setting up and curbstomping you for the next 4 turns, and a well placed taunt can often shut that problem down before it even appears.

I really like the idea of an electric absorber for Gyara allowing him to get some boosts in, but I really question Marowak as the choice here. He is slow as balls, and really pretty fragile, even with your EVs. Moreover, aside from absorbing Elec for gyara, he does little to help the team. I would strongly recommend a change of poke here despite you not wanting to. As replacement, I would pick Electivire. Strange you may think, given that his ability is Motor Drive, but he also learns Follow Me (I believe as a special move from XD). This not only gives you your electric absorber, but also sucks other harmful attacks away from Gyara, like sleep, etc. He may not be durable, but if he sucks in a Lightning attack then he becomes a viable sweeper with the Speed Boost. Protect is a viable option on him if gyara is not threatened to avoid Fake Outs, as is Magnet Rise to dodge EQs. Taunt can even be used on him instead of Gyara.

However, since you may find it hard to obtain one of these on wifi, Rhyperior may well be the superior choice purely due to its vastly larger HP, or even Manectric with SpDef investment. Electivire does seem to be the best if you can get hold of one, however.

I'm a little short of time right now so I won't rate the rest of your team fully, however I will say that your CMMagius is a lot less likely to be effective in 2v2 - boosting simply makes you a bigger target unless you have some form of strategy like you do for gyara, so consider using at least NP to skyrocket your SpAtk or Gengar for the better SpAtk of the bat.

the problem is with electivire ill take up alot of slots while marowak doesn't take any at all i really want gyarados to get a slot for ice fang for dragonite, while still being able to counter a trick room so then i would have electivire with magnet rise, taunt, follow me and 1 slot so he will be quite useless. Rhyperior will actually be worse than marowak since he has 3 more weaknesses than marowak and has less attack power than marowak with thick club, not to mention 2 uber effective weaknesses and being slower as well as being slower than marowak. and lastly marowak has better SDef.
Btw do you have a suggestion on what moveset i should put on the gengar?
