Battles are to be conducted via Shoddy Battle
Randomized pairings each round
Evasion Clause
Freeze Clause
OHKO Clause
Sleep Clause
Species Clause
Strict Damage Clause
Timed Battle
No illegal movesets
Both battlers must post the result of their battle
The winner of every battle should PM me the log*
No scouting
No revealing opponent's team
In addition, the following Pokemon are banned:
Arceus, Darkrai, Deoxys (all forms), Dialga, Giratina, Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Lugia, Manaphy, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Wobbuffet
The 4th generation has brought with it new Pokemon, new moves, new abilities and new typing combinations. This tournament will test each typing's capabilities, strengths and weaknesses. With the introduction of many new unique typing combinations in DP, each type has something going for it. Rock is no longer completely decimated by special attacks with its new SDef boost in Sandstorm, Ice has been given a way to attempt to combat its huge Rock and Fighting weaknesses with Mamoswine and Froslass, and the ability Snow Warning has been introduced. All of the typings have gained something this generation. Who will be able to utilise their typing's potential successfully and with which typing?
How this Tournament works:
-Sign up by posting that you want to join in this thread.
-Once the sign ups close I will randomly generate a typing for each participant and PM this to them, this is the typing they will use for the first round (at least).
-Everyone signed up constructs a team with each Pokemon having the typing sent to them by PM. (eg. Grass can have Bellsprout, Venusaur, Tropius etc.)
-After a participant wins their first round match they will have the option to request a typing change by PM, at which point I will randomly generate another typing for them. This applies for each subsequent round.
