Okay as fun as all this drama is you all need to chill out. I was okay with having a more open environment in this thread for fun but this is going too far. If you want to do something like this, use our Discord or something. There's a line between light-hearted joking and actually flaming someone, especially doing it as a group. This thread isn't for sorting out some internal drama.

So this is my first tournament of this high caliber, and I've been saving some replays(though unfortunately most of my games ended in either dc or forfeit) but I'm not sure what to do in regards of actually trying to get on a team, and exactly how this tourney style works, can anyone help me out?

You can contact managers if you would like by saying their name in Monotype chat while they're on or PMing them, however some people have stated they don't want pms like Zarif so be careful. You can request a tryout with the team and if they ask for replays or anything you can give those them then. Not saying this will get you a spot on a team, even if you win, but it's worth a shot.

Excuse me my name is not Zarif. I hear he is accepting 300-word essays and replays for his applications for a spot on the Blackthorn Bucks, though.
 
We had a more serious mock draft just now, since the other two were pretty much jokes. For the most part, the actual managers were the ones participating, although I assume they didn't go with their actual draft plans.

I had to go afk for a decent amount of it, so unless someone else has chat logs those aren't available. Here's how it went:

I have read through this thread, but am stil confused. What are the sports sounding teams? Do I have to do more than sign up? i didnt see a place to put what monotype I was doing specifically (i thought it would be like teams based on types). and then there is stuf with bidders and money i think? I dont have to pay do I?

The sports-sounding teams are the teams for MPL, they draft players and play against each other.

All you have to do to be eligible to be drafted is sign up, but you could pm managers about trying out. The only problem with that is I don't know if any of the managers are actually willing to do them.

you sign up for the format of monotype, not the type itself, for example OR/AS and S/M. If players signed up to play types and everyone knew what you were bringing, that wouldn't be fair.

Only managers have to worry about that, they bid credits on players during the draft. As far as I know, there isn't a set date for that yet.

Missed a mock draft? Darn.. I oughta remember who said they would draft me.. since someone told me "if you join I'll definitely try to draft you"
 
The moment when you realize this discussion thread is for other owners of teams to roast other team owners, and that you'll never be drafted because even though your decent at monotype it can never be enough.
