So i was advancing my frames and i did my 98th call ( frame was on 100, sweet scent advances by 2 to me) and i got the spread on frame 96 like it went back 2 instead of foward 2? WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

That's only ever happened to me if I forgot to put my game character on the bike. Having a party pokemon standing next to your game character makes sweet scent weird.

Thats the thing, I saved on my bike so I was definitely on my bike and i just dont know what happened! I know i was doing my advancements correctly becuase i got a P and there was not a P even CLOSE to those frames! UGHHHH!!!!!!

EDIT: @Chinesedood: i wouldnt have been able to follow 98 frames if i wasnt (i dont think) but i was definitely on method k

The Elm calls will still be the same if you were on Method 1 (instead of Method K), so you could have followed the frames even if you were using the wrong Method, but of course, that's not the case, so nevermind. :)

Alright so I'm RNGing for IVs and I can't seem to hit my delay. BUT I have noticed that when I go to verify my delay I'm hitting a delay very often (not the one I want) but regardless I'm hitting it often. I've looked for the Flip sequence that I'm hitting but I have had no luck finding it. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm hitting so I can adjust accordingly.

I got my gligar btw!!! Thanks!

@Champloo Dont update pikatimer everytime you hit a delay. If your really close just keep trying and trust me it is VERY frustrating and everyone makes it seem like its nothing but trust me in the very beginnning it SUCKS! Just keep trying and you will get it eventually. Also make sure your on the right date and you start one minute behind your targettime and just keep on going. You WILL get it, if you keep at it.

EDIT: Sorry i misread your question...

Well the seed I'm going for requires this:

Date: 2010 09 26
Target Time: 11:05:14
Delay: 609
Frame: 3

My average delay in seconds is 14 so I'm setting the DS time at 11:04 and then just resetting at 11:05. The date is correct. So I'm just getting frustrated that I can't seem to hit the delay I want. But like I said before I know I'm hitting A FRAME periodically since I'm keeping track of what coin flip sequences I'm getting. Also I'm not using pikatimer. I don't want to bother myself with it.

You can verify what seed you hit by yourself. Just use RNG Reporter Seed to time function. It's the bottom window.

Can I verify it with just the coin flip sequence?

Pikatimer is very useful, but it's not something that's required if you can consistently hit 609 during calibration.

Anyways...

Yea, just the coin flip sequence is needed. On Seeds to Time, enter in your data and hit generate to fill the first white box. Then enter 99 on the min/max delay box and 9 on min/max seconds box and hit generate to fill in your second box. After that, just verify coinflip sequence to see what you hit.

If nothing is showing...then you're way off or making a big mistake somewhere.

OMG According to RNG Reporter I'm hitting a delay of 598...pretty close to 609...so I guess the only thing I can do is to keep resetting at the time I am and eventually I should hit my delay right?

Wrong, if you hit even, you will ONLY hit even delays. You can change this by either putting in a 3rd gen game (leafgreen works but for some reason emerald doesnt seem to...) change the year up or down one or when you get to the continue menu go down so you can see mystery gift and wifi settings and what not. THEN you can get even ones and hit your delay. Here are the guides that taught me most everything i know, i HIGHLY recommend them!

Okay that makes sense I just did it again and I hit a delay of 600. I only have a DSi so I can't put a GBA cartridge to solve that issue. I'll have to try the year change. I'm going to change the range of my delays since it was originally 592-612 but since I'm hitting 598 consistently I'm guessing lowering the range will grant me a better target time/delay
Wait. Why are you going from odd to even frames?

I'm not sorry it's just my target delay was 609 but I had no idea that if you hit even delays you only hit evens. So I have to adjust accordingly.

Sorry for the double post but after some adjusting of my delays I've actually managed to hit a delay that I was aiming for I've verified with the coin flips and all 10 flips matched. Does this mean I hit my delay? Basically am I done? Is this it? Can I finally hatch my egg in the desired location and start EV training it?

Im not to good with DPPt but im pretty sure you have to advance frames and make sure you go one before your target because talking to the daycare man advances it but im not sure so dont hold me to it. But good luck im going to sleep. :)

You also have to verify if you hit your target frame.

And you do that the same way you would for a frame calibration correct?

Once you checked your delay by flipping the coin 10 times, check the IVs of the Egg and see what frame you hit on RNG reporter. To get certain IVs you have to hit a certain frame as well :) If you havent hit your frame, calibrate it again.

Ah I see so basically if one of the IVs doesn't match what the output was supposed to be even if I hit my delay I landed on the wrong frame?

This is what I need to hit:

2010 09 28 | 20:04:14 | 600 | 4

So if I hit the delay and frame I should end up with 31/3/B/A/31/A

So I can easily check if I hit my frame by seeing if the IVs match the above results?

I actually hit my delay twice but the IVs in SpD weren't 31 they were 29 the first time and 28 the second time I hit my delay. This means I didn't land on my frame correct?

Just trying to make everything as clear as possible.

Yeah, you didnt lend on your frame. Try to collect the egg as fast as you can.

Will do. I've heard that saving when Buneary is in the green cabin looking house helps?

Also thank you for being such a great help.

So after I hit my delay and land on the frame I'm set to go correct?

No you don't have to worry about the pokemon inside the daycare's yard.
After you hit delay and frame, yes you have the pokemon you wanted :)

edit - try to save when the cowgirls don't move. There are offscreen NPCs, but saving when the cowgirls dont move will help you.
