Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

For this step;
Step 4:
Find a suitable date/time combination for your year in RNGReporter that uses the seconds from step 3 (or 3.5, if applicable).

Does it mean, use the seed I was originally using and change my seconds to what was converted in the yellow box? So I would change my seconds to 10 instead of my average 14? (Syberia's method)

If the delay of the seed you want is equivalent to 10 seconds, use the 'Seed to Time' function in RNG Reporter to look for a suitable, equivalent time, i.e. Sept. 4, 2009 at 12:43:10. This is just an example, but it's not necessary to actually have the target time end in ten seconds; it's just easier to calculate things that way.

The frame is actually dependent on the NPC's in town, just like getting eggs in Solaceon. It is a Method 1 Pokemon like you stated.

Ok, so I changed my seconds to 10, and changed my ds time while pushing the space for emloop, reset and let the first timer run out.
I think I did something wrong, because either my second timer is so tiny or I dont have one. :s
Should it be really small before adding in the loading frames?

Let me just make sure I got this right... I'm in the Tropphy Garden trying to hit a frame of 156 so 156 - 2 (Sweet Scent) / 2 = 77 flips. Do I need to include a monster frame or anything or is that only for legends?

It does sound like you might have inputted the information incorrectly in emloop, so make sure that isn't the problem. The delay you get is smaller, naturally, before taking the loading frames in account.

Right, but what's the monster frame so I can determine the number of flips I need to do?

It's a Monster Frame of 1.

You already took the Monster frame into account, so 77 flips + Sweet Scent, like you stated, should let you hit your target (barring roamers).

When you're trying to get a shiny egg and you generate the list of possible shinys some of the natures are in dark letters and some of the natures are in faded letters. Why is that?

*sigh* I have no idea what I'm doing... Is it possible to RNG the daily pokemon in the Trophy Garden? I looked up the slots for Platinum and didn't see anything... :s I don't even know if that has anything to do with it..

EDIT: I don't think it affects it mattj, but I'm not 100% sure. I'd just not use one just to be safe, since you'll be RNGing the nature anyways.

mattj - just don't use an everstone. There is no point since it won't give you a shiny frame an earlier with your nature necessarily. It just advances faster but I it isn't programmed into RNG reporter so you can't do it. Leave the everstone off.

shawk1 - yes you can abuse trophy garden pokemon. Go to the from page, and the post with encounter slots show which frames on the trophy garden pokemon.

i caught a shiny darkrai on my platinum. will that work for calculating my SID.
If so, am i doing it right?
i take the rng reporter 700 app, open it.
go click on to Ivs to PID
put in my ivs, nature, and trainor I.D.
click find, and get my secret id to use.

It feels like im doing something wrong

No that is absolutely right. You are doing nothing wrong.

Question. About RNG Advancing... Is it divided by 2 because its assuming that you're journal flipping with pages that has the word captured or defeated? Or do you have to divide by 2 again? I hit my seed, and I know I counted my journal flips right(at least I hope so...), but I didn't hit the pokemon that I wanted.

You should've entered the IVs/stats of the Pokemon that you did catch into the Initial Seed function. That would have allowed you to see what frame you got instead of your target, and make adjustments accordingly.

I really don't understand how to RNG Abuse for IV's. I did well on breeding for shinies. (Shiny Rotom, Shiny Cherubi, Shiny Glamoew, Shiny Heracross, Shiny Misdreavus) But, I don't get it. Like the frames, the target time?

Did you read the "Common Information" section?

Is the PBR pikachu RNGable? I've got PBR, but haven't played through the colloseums very far yet. I heard it was just your average wondercard, but couldn't confirm that info anywhere.

I don't know whether it's RNGable but I can confirm that it's a normal wondercard, the same as the Magmortar and Electivire.

Sweet. Ought to be then because all the other wondercards are :) I did read that it's stuck with a stupid hardy nature though. :/

I assume you mean Cresselia and Mesprit?
If you caught them, they shouldn't be take into account, but if you have talked to Oak in his house in Eterna, then the Trio of Birds should be.
