Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I meant what I said.

The same spread can appear on multiple frames.

Different frames can be different monsters.
yeah but you said "the same spread can be found on different spreads".

COKTAL said:
Take whatever frame it appears on, and subtract 2. Go to that frame on Method 1 (the spread you found should be from Method J).
mingot said:
To do this switch to method 1 and take the last 4 digits of the PID of the frame before your method J frame.

so it's 1 or 2 frames before?
I think i'm almost done, last thing i can't understand is how can i check and see if Starly shows up on slot 0 for example.

YES it matters. Follow the directions, please.

To illustrate:

(6 - 6) / 2 = 0
6 - 6 / 2 = 3

The directions have you come up with a final number before dividing by two, so do this.

Incorrect. Walking advances the RNG by 1 where are ARE wild Pokemon.

In fact, the RNG is called once per step to figure out if you are going to have a battle. In places where there are no wild pokemon this encounter check is not necesary so no RNG call is made on a per step basis.

Okay, thanks mingot. Since every 128 steps advances the RNG where there are no wild Pokemon, would I still be able to run around Valor Cave (say I want to multitask - I can just flip to my step counter app and run around). My only concern is: would the RNG count a turn as a step also?

Not really sure on the issue of turns, that still needs testing. I would really just use journal flips. They are reliable and very well understood.

One question: Since I have one wandering Pokemon - my frame would start at 2, right? In that case, when using the coin flip method, I'd start from the flip result from frame 2. Is this right?

Frame calibration phase
7. Reset your game, and then immediately cancel the Journal and collect the egg. Remember to speak to the daycare man as quickly as you can as the frame starts to increase as soon as the Journal is canceled.

8. Immediately catch a wild Pokémon and use it to create an initial seed.

For step 8 can I catch any poke or does it have to be a high level poke?

8. Immediately catch a wild Pokémon and use it to find the initial seed.

9. Select "Breeding (DPP)" and then click generate with this initial seed.

10. Hatch your Pokémon and narrow down its IVs enough to find out which frame you hit in the generated spreads. When looking at spreads in RNG Reporter, remember that A means the stat was inherited from the parent that was placed into daycare first, B second.

between step nine and ten can I turn off my ds to insert my ar to use the fast hatch to hatch my egg, or do I have to hatch it the hard way?

No, you can't. If you do that, you'll be going by the previous entry's delay/time. What you do is leave 2 slots in your party open (1 for egg, and one for the wild pokemon). Save infront of the DC man, and reset like you normally would. Go as you would, and pick up the egg as fast as you can (should save facing him). Then go and catch a wild pokemon to find your delay/time. Then hatch the egg and use it's IVs to find the frame.

I'm a bit confused with what I have to do in order to take the spreads off the spread sheet in the first post. It says to convert and find them in method J, but I can't seem to find it when I'm looking down the list. Any help?

alright, so thats what I was doing wrong, thanks!

Alright. So there are 2 moving NPC Trainers on route 224.

I'm trying to Sweet Scent a Shuckle.

I know if I VS. Seeker them and battle them, they will not move. My question is do I save, hit the seed, then battle them both then do flips, or battle them both then save, hit the seed and then do flips?

EDIT: It's battle, save, hit seed then do flips, right?
