Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Guys, between the steps of the initial and frame calibration phases, after I have determined my delay, do I reset between that or do I save?

Reset, of course. Just keep resetting till you can predict your range of delays and are able to hit a particular second all of the time.

I am trying to hatch a perfect pokemon, and I'm here:

10. Hatch your Pokémon and narrow down its IVs enough to find out which frame you hit in the generated spreads. When looking at spreads in RNG Reporter, remember that A means the stat was inherited from the parent that was placed into daycare first, B second.

Can I join a level 100 battle to find my IVs?

You could to find your IV's, but that could be pretty time consuming. If you use Metalkid's calculator right, you only need about 5 or 10 rare candies to find your egg's frame. If you don't have access to rare candies, then a wifi battle is the way to go.

No, bad idea. Wifi battles involve saving, meaning you lose your egg.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. But still, what can he do if he has no rare candies or an AR?
Well, then he went in ill prepared to be honest. He should have known beforehand. The only thing he can do now is train them and keep track of any and all EV's gained. He could also level up in the day care though.

Yeah. Raptor, you should probably get an AR, or pal park some rare candies from emerald. Otherwise, it will prove extremely difficult to abuse the RNG for eggs.

I have a question about the Distortion world Giratina. Is its inital frame REALLY 12? I find that impossible to believe after what I just did.
I hit my delay perfectly. I have no wandering pokemon yet (how could I?)
Giratina is meant to be initial frame 12. My target frame is 498.
This means: 498-12=486/2=243. Now thats fine, right? Well I did my flips, and did nothing else (after confirming the right seed.) Well, I came up with a set that only happened on ODD frames. I cannot imagine how thats possible, but assuming I got the flips exactly right, my inital frame must have been 5, 7 lower than what I thought.
Can anyone either correct me, or get that OP changed to reflect that it cannot be 12? (Unless something in the distortion world advances the frame? Something that DIDN'T happen with me?)

(Actually, a thought. A recent discovery about the date change would explain the extra frames. This would assume the tester was trying to catch Giratina in the distortion world and the date changed. A little bit of a stretch though...)

I caught my Giratina there, and here's my post about RNG advancement while in Distortion World. Did you walk from the normal to the inner map before battling Giratina? That's the only explanation I have.

I certainly know they aren't international because I caught both the Ditto and the Aron myself.

Also, I'm trying to learn how to get IV's... anyone can help please?

Adam, just read the OP a few times, and watch the helpful videos posted on the front page. If you still don't understand something, ask specifically. If you just ask us to help you with IVs, we'd have to explain the whole process, but if you ask a specific question we can help you better.

Could anyone walk me through SRing a Wondercard Pokémon? Or at least help me out with this problem?
I'm SRing Movie11 Shaymin. I'm trying to find my frame and delay. However, I can't seem to get a seed with the Seed Finder. This is what I did:
I used an IV calculator to find exact IVs.
I went to the IVs to Seed option in RNG Reporter, and typed in the time, date, and IVs.
Since Wondercard Pokémon's natures are generated differently, I tried once with each nature.
However, I didn't find a starting seed. I got loads of monster seeds, but no actual starting seed. Could anyone help me with this?

I read over the specific topic on IV Breeding through RNG Abuse, and I read they guides in between.. I just can't understand it, I've learned that each stat has a code
HP 0
AT 1
DE2
SA3
SD4
SP5

Then the code for the trait to be passed down from the parent to the child

Parent 0 first IV passed down by the 1 parent
Parent 1 first IV passed down by the 2 parent

I think, this is to where I'm understanding so far.

Now for seconds and Frame Rates.. confuses me.

Being as I only hatched shinies and just hoped for good IV's from my flawless Ditto, I just did the taps like it said, not bothered with seconds or frame rates or any other... which is probably why I'm so confused, the video I watched was TOO simple for me to learn.

Hrm switching through all natures does seem like it should have worked since the two proceeding RNG calls would have produced at least one of them. But keep in mind you'd need to try out all IV/Nature combinations.

I do think, unless you've journaled to a really high frame that your best bet is to just go catch a high level Pokemon as soon as you collect your wondercard.

Lastly, RealSoonNow(tm) I will be releasing a new version of RNG Reporter with a generic adjacents finder that will allow you to use coin flips to actually find a seed when you were close (+/- 9 seconds / +/- 99 delay) to your intended target time.

The things that you've learned are not really necesary (note that the OP says to skip the technical parts and go straight to the guides).

Did you have a specific question, though?

Also, could you put a switch in the Stats to Seed finder to ignore the nature (for Wondercards)? That would be pretty useful...

And I got the exact IVs using an IV calculator, so IV combinations aren't an issue. I'll try again tomorrow.

And that can be used for Target Time for Calculating IV's? I think one of my main problems is I don't have exact time for my DS to my computer.

Probably not since it does not seem to work :) I am curious as to why it did not, though.

No, I was speaking to Wichu. If you can't get your DS synchronized with an external clock (which will be required) I would not really spend to much time messing with this as none of it will be possible.

You reset the time on the DS at the top of the minute with an outer time keeper like a watch. That way, if it's 1:00:15 on the watch, it's the same for the DS.

Yes I believe I have it, I just compare the second hands of the clock on my DS with that of my Computer.

I'm trying to find a video on YouTube on how to get IV's through RNG Abuse, because I'm just too confused by it.

I'm not sure if TheTorsoBoy did IV's.
