Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

For FR / LG abuse, you need save states. You save in front of a legendary and catch it. Using the stats, use IVs to PID in RNG reporter and find the pid and right click it and set seed. You look for spreads from that method 1 frame you are on.

Vile - I think the 2 RNG calls you are refering to is one right after the other, and the 2nd number is derived from the first one. So no, you can't get new numbers, I would guess.

Hmm...I'm trying to crack the PokeRadar Shiny...but i found one thing, that is weird (well I think it it's), maybe time for IRC, if you want ofcourse

EDIT: Ok, I catch a pokémon with the radar, then catch a shiny on the same seed, then I enter the IVs of the Shiny Radar Pokémon, I get "No IV matches", then I enter the IVs of the normal one, I get a Seed, then I search for the IVs of the Shiny one and I get a hit on method 1,2,3, but the Nature isn't correct. And when I enter the IVs of the Shiny one in Mingots HTML IVs->PID I get zero results...

Ah thanks, that is very helpfull for me. I know what I need to do beforehand, thank you very much. But I still don't know how to progress the RNG, by making a certain amount of steps, time or some other way, like catching pokémon?

It is time based like emerald. So emloop or save states will be your best friend.

We already know how Poké Radar shinies are generated. They use a completely different method to generate the PID (to ensure shininess), so obviously they won't show up in the IVs to PID calculator and won't work to find your seed.

Ok, well I just heard, we can see those numbers we need in RNG Reporter, but I don't know which ones, hahaha

Again, thank you very much. I'll see if I can make something out of this information. I at least hope so.
I think I'm not quite done yet with the info needed.

Is a seed picked when I talk to say Mewtwo? He will say "Mew!" or something like that. Or when I actually press A afterwards and the battle is started?

Also, when I've got this seed, I enter it in the main menu, right? So, I search for a spread, when I find one, do I need to add up/take down a certain amount of numbers to get the time I need to wait, or I take the time listed?

Because I tried it, but the spread I got was for a nine minute wait, I only had a 4.45 minute wait. I don't see how I could've add 5 more minutes.

I have problem with wichu's program... after i've reserched, in the spread sheet, there are 5 good spreads with different initial seeds and frames; if I insert in the main page of rng reporter one of these initial seeds and change to method J, I can see if the spread also exists with method J. the question is: how can I find my target time to hit that initial seed?

Not really an issue with Wichu's program...

But on the left side of the main window of RNG reporter, click the seed to time button. Put the seed into that, and click generate. Hey-presto, your target times.

Your Initial Seed is genrated the second you press A on the Continue Screen
So by catching a Pokemon immeditely after entering the Game ensures you that you will most likely find your Initial Seed from entering the IV's or
Stats in the Seed Finder from the Main Page of the RNG Reporter

You can Also just Coin Flip 10 Times and look where you landed.
Only When you go for Shiny Eggs you have to Add 10 Frames
to your Local cause your advancing the iRNG with every Coinflip
by exactly 1.

Hope that Info helps you on your Way :)

Erm, he's talking about Fire Red and Leaf Green...

So your post is irrelevant.

I have a question about radar abuse.

If I abuse with a shiny spread, but don't go into a shiny patch, will the pokemon still be shiny? I just want to know before I try it out.

Yes the pokemon will still be shiny. I haven't done this but I have been told it is shiny if it is supposed to be.

Just curious...when abusing eggs for IVs I realize that it's impossible to flip coins to verify you hit the seed before you collect the egg because of all the NPCs, but can you flip immidiately afterwards in order to verify you hit your seed, or do the NPCs screw up the flips too?

just curious for a quicker way than hatching and rarecandying over and over again. :/

You take the egg then check with the flips. They will only confirm that you hit your delay and second, not your frame. So the NPC's dont mess it up.

I figured, but I really wanted the verification first so thank you. :) believe it or not, I've been hatching and leveling up the stupid thing to verify by IVs this whole time, but coin flipping will be waaaaaaaaaaaaay faster! :)

I'm fairly consistent with hitting my seed, so I'm sure I'll be just as consistent with mashing A to hit the correct frame with NPC movements and all. :)

Oh yeah, another thing... since I'm doing this in Solaceon town, can I fly to say the resort area and catch a L50 poke to see what seed I hit, or do I have to catch something there and candy it up to 50?

Okay, so I've been trying to catch a vibrava on route 228, which is a pokeradar mon. The problem I've had is that it's so darn hard to see the shaking patches in the sandstorm! Anyone found a way to make it easier or am i just sol?

Also, I have a few questions about what advances the frames. Here's what I understand to advance the frames:
1. In Grass, etc: Advancing one step in the direction i'm facing OR changing which way I'm facing advances 1 frame
2. Walking 128 steps in NON grass/cave, etc area advances 1 frame.
3. Engaging in battle will advance it by the monster's frame. (usually 1)
4. Sweet Scenting will advance it by 1 frame.
5. Battling a pokemon I've engaged (either fainting it or capturing it) will advance it by 5?
6. Pokeradar will advance it based on how many shaking patches there are (4=10, 3=6, etc)

I'm sure I missed some things. Please correct any mistakes. Thanks!

EDIT: a few things I've remembered. Will walking 128 steps in grassy area advance the frames?

Also, if I'm understanding this correctly, if I've already released the 3 legendary birds without RNGing them, I can faint them and fight the elite 4 and then re-release them? Can I release Cresselia again this way?

Thats all I ever do when breeding. Collect the egg, then fly and check my seed with a karp.

Yes, that's the way I got my Shiny Swinub!

Is it possible to find your Shiny Spreads using Wichu's App for the new Method (K) for HGSS? Since I want to start with creating Save Files for some shiny Spreads =)

Method K is just like method J, where it is a form on method 1 that just has a different algorithm to find the PID and choose which frame.

Okay, I'm about to start to "capture" RNG.

Is this correct?
For example I'm using seed ect... 981?
I save in the patch of grass - Feurgo fireworks, magnemite - I'm assuming there is no NPCs.
I have no roamers so I flip 978/2. I also sweet scent which adds 2, then I move one step forward in the grass which should increase by one - I'm using repel).

If i'm using a spread from the OP downloadable Zip file, where do I input the encounter code? O_o

You need to use the encounter code first to find if you can catch a mangemite. When you generate method J spreads, right click on one of the frames that is a shiny spread (you should have a few different ones) and it will tell you the encounter slot for that frame. Look it up on the encounter table and you will see what pokemon is on that frame. Do this until you find one that gives you a magnemite. As far as calcs for your journal flips go, you should be doing 978-2-0 roamers = 976. 976/2 = 488 journal flips. Make sure you saved in the grass so you have no need to walk around when sweet scenting after you've completed all of your flips.
