Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

um, yes you are. it has to be 633, which if you were wondering is exactly 10.55 seconds. 632 ≈ 10.533 and 634 ≈ 10.567. but don't worry, there's an app for that(ba-dam-bam, ding). try using Pikatimer. you just plug in your calibrated settings and it gives you a countdown. its on the first page in this thread, just keep scrolling down until you find it.

but on top of hitting your delay, you also have to hit your frame. that's the easy part and you seem to have that down by now
 
Oh wow, okay thanks for that. I didn't see any mention of that in the guide... maybe I missed something. I'm gonna play around with that app for a bit and see if I can get it to work, thanks so much for your help though!
 
Hi So I've been RNG'ing and doing it exactly the way its meant to be done (RNGing for shinies that is) and have done the exacts flips and double taps...
and I still don't get a shiny...
and I have my SID ...
I click the shiny box and I still don't get a shiny when I breed..
Why is that?

If you change the poketch app after doing the coin flips it will stuff the rng up forsome reason. Always leave it on the coin flip app
 
Both my parents are 100% English...
I really don't know why it isn't working!
I'm going to try it on my Pearl if someone can find the SID code for me!

Are you making sure to go to the Happiness Checker APPonly ONCE?
Are you doing any of htis in an area with weather affects? If so that will mess it up too.
And are you saving the game without the Happiness Checker on as the first APP?

Ya I go to it only once
I do not go to an area with weather affects
It is not on the Happiness checker- Its on the one before that
 
Just one question: the egg you've got when the RNG Reporter said it would be a shiny is exactly the same gender, nature and ability as RNG Reporter said the shiny would be? If the answer is affirmative, that means your SID is wrong. If not, you're doing something wrong.

No it's never the same Nature..
 
Then you don't have a problem in your SID, you have a problem in your calculations. Either you're hitting the wrong seed, or you're doing extra taps/flips.
 
Okay I need serious help hitting my delay time. I'm using PikaTimer to hit a delay of 656. My calibrated delay is at 630. The problem is I am way too inconsistent, I get delays ranging from 656 to 664 (my delays are all even by the way). Can someone give me any advice other than to keep trying?

So? That doesn't mean you've hit your seed. I can assure you that if you're really sure about being accurate with the flips/taps, you're missing your delay, because your SID is not the problem there. Even with the wrong SID, the egg should be the same you would be getting shiny, but not shiny. Simple as that.
 
Unless you're using International mode in RNG Reporter, that is. Try using the normal Egg PID mode instead.

Also, I've finally made a new version of PokéRNG. I just need to test it some more, and then I'll upload it.
This version has several bugs fixed, and should run slightly faster too. I'm going to work on adding Method J and K frames later.

Does both of those pokemon have the same ID and SID? That seems to be the issue I have when I use the breed shiny tab. Try using two pokemon from your game and then check it out to see if it works.

Can someone explain how pikatimer work.
Frame
My delay is 628
My wanted delay is 3931
My calibrated second is 14

my target time and date is 3/31/2010 at 17:59:58

I confused because it said 1 minute before SR.

I think I know why because It take more than a few seconds for the delay to hit 3000+
 
This is the steps i did

  1. I start the game.
  2. Save in front of the guy in the pokemart.
  3. Wait for the NPC to move then immediately save.
  4. Off the game enter the seed i want so right now i want 6E0F029A so plug this in and press generate then the frame i want is 141.
  5. Then,i press the 'seed to time' option .
  6. Change the date to the date given.
  7. Change the time to 1 minute before the time given and add the stop watch at the same time.
  8. Press continue at the exact seconds which i am supposed to.
  9. Then the Journal will appear.
  10. Do 70 Flips sicne 141-1 1/2 = 70 where caught a ma/female pokemon is.
  11. Then collect the pokemon ASAP before an NPC can move.
  12. Check the ivs and see if i got lucky.
i am not doing the calerbration face.


But i did all this and nothing i didnt get the ivs i were suppose to
 
Because you STILL need to hit your seed. After that, you should catch a pokemon to find out which delay you did get, and calibrate your timing accordingly.

this is a wondercard pkmn correct if so, just do the coin flip trick
Coin flip will show your delay, but you cant turn to happiness meter before doing the flips, rumored happiness meter will mess things up

If you did what Pehu said
You can only catch the poke afterwards you collect the wondercard pokemon
You may spend anywhere form minutes to hours trying to hit your delay

Am i suppose to do this after i change the time etc and collect the pokemon or before i collect the pokemon?
