Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Is it possible to RNG a 31/31/31/31/31/31 Jolly poke, shiny or otherwise? I'm pretty sure you can't ID/SID abuse for one (can't find it on Omega's spreadsheet) but I don't know if you can breed one or not. PokeRNG is showing me zero results for hexflawless jolly but given that I don't know how to RNG-breed, I may be plugging in something wrong. Just wondering since I saw a hex-flawless in someone's shop and thought it couldn't be done.
Hex flawless spreads for bred pokémon should be possible, but not for catches. The only other way to get a hex-flawless Jolly pokémon is through Wondercard IV abuse (see the Deoxys on my thread).

Okay, I'm about to do my first non-egg RNG on regirock in platinum. Just want to be sure of a few things before I begin resetting

1. If a journal page has some stuff other than just "X was caught (night)", is there any chance those things might advance the RNG?
2. If I switch from the coin flip app (when I check that I hit the right seed) to the step counter app to get my +5 RNG advancement, will that somehow mess up the process?
3. If the only roamer I currently have out is mesprit, I only subtract one from the formula, right? I have not yet released the birds or cresselia.

1. No
2. No
3. No

My question now,
say I find a spread that I like and I want that to be shiny. Is it possible to find out what SID hits that Spread for shiny?

Alright, so lets see if I'm doing this right.

So this is what I'm trying to RNG. A shiny Adamant Male Charmander. Here's all the info. I have hatched the egg to make sure its shiny and Adamant. It is.
ID: 34045
SID: 10028
Seed: B111027C
Date: 5/31/2010
Time: 17:07:15 (15 at the end is due to me taking 15 seconds to hit continue from HR?)
Dleay: 626
Spread: 30/31/A/22/B/A
A: flawless ditto
B: Charmander with 31 in SPDef.
Coin Flips: T,H,T,T,H,H,T,T,H,H

Here's a screenshot of the PikaTimer I am using for this one:
timer01.png

I'm using a calibrated second of 25 because that's how long it takes to boot up the DS with an AR in. For fast hatch and IV check

So, I set my DS to 17:06 and start the timer simultaneously. I should be able to get my desired charmander correct? Or did I do something wrong?
The delay doesnt start counting with an AR until you hit start. So you can adjust the calibrated seconds to the time you hit start until continue

Hey, I have a problem with the 8.10 version of the RNG Reporter: when I try to use the seed finder to breed shiny eggs in Platinum, I introduce the correct data, and it always says I've gotten something wrong in the date and time, which I'm sure I'm not. Any solutions?

It can happen because the particular pokemon doesnt have 'compatible' stats when it actually does. Keep trying dude, and NEVER use Pidgey.

Well, you could give ALL of the information you are entering. Just saying "it doesnt work" doesnt really help at all.

What? ...

Well, I've entered the correct stats, time, date, nature, characteristic, level, I used a lv 50 Raticate I caught with Master Ball to save time, and no matter what I do it'll always say "No reasonable initial seed found. Please check your DATE and TIME". I have DPP marked, by the way.

Again, this is not helpful.

Please say EVERYTHING you entered into every field.

1. Pidgey NEVER, EVER works. EVER. It's stats are too sucky.

2. Perfectly acceptable pokemon, such as lvl 50 Roselias, are sometimes randomly rejected by RNGReporter, giving you the good ol' 'INVALID DATE AND TIME'. Proven and true!

Year: 2010, Month: 5, Date: 14, Hour: 19, Minute: 40 (I registered this at the moment I entered in "Continue"), Pokémon: Raticate, Nature: Calm, Characteristic: Hates to Lose, Level: 50, HP: 126, Atk: 81, Def: 71, SpA: 66, SpD: 94, Spe: 108.

So far I've had the same problem 6 times.

Ah thanks for the quick reply. But about your answer to #3...
So what you're saying is that my interpretation of the formula is wrong? What am I supposed to plug in then? Target frame is 150, monster frame of regirock is 1, and I have 1 roamer out (mesprit). 150-1-1=148 <--- this is the number I use, right?

And another question, I've heard that having a gen III cartridge in the GBA slot can affect whether you hit an even or odd delay. Has this been confirmed? Right now all I seem to be hitting are odds (and I took emerald out). My calibrated delay is 608 though...

This isnt true at all lol
Why would the Pokemon's base stats matter? When the RNG Reporter goes by and generates its IV's and Nature? The Pokemon wont ever matter at all.

The only time ive ever had this problem is when I took to long to catch a Pokemon... I dont know why that is but its happened quite a few times =/

I meant Yes Lol subtract one for each roamer and whatever the monster frame is. That will give you the remainder of advancement you must do

Yes and yes the 3rd gen cart alters changes your delay and it has been confirmed.

I'll tell you exactly why! Pidgey's stats are too low, so they aren't high enough for RNGReporter (or anything else for that matter) to calculate their IV's. You would have to have a RIDICULOUSLY high lvl Pidgey to do it, and even then, the results wouldn't be reliable!

Have YOU ever had a Pidgey work? Please, tell us!

Would the problem be on that I've been catching the pokes with Master Ball so it doesn't take long? That's the only logical conclusion I could get, so I'll first try a different ball.

I have had pidgeys work plenty of times, the ones north of the Resort Area. They're level 49 or 50. Anyway, for someone having trouble getting the reporter to work I would advise avoiding pidgey, since I have had RNG Reporter reject it a few times. Also thanks @ Elemt

ok the pokemon you use does not matter, as long as you can determine its IVs or get it to a high enough level it makes no difference. I have used pidgeys, weedle, caterpies, etc pokemon with low base stats.
