Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

You left Pikatimer exactly as it was before? You have your usual calibrated seconds and you kept 50 as your wanted seconds? You didn't adjust your delays beforehand? It was the same exact delays as before?

If you left those alone and you hit 48 seconds again, then move the DS clock to two more minutes later. Do not adjust your delays until you have tested that you land on the right seconds. Adjust your DS clock only until you consistently get the right seconds. Then you can start adjusting your delays again.

If you discover afterward that your seconds change due to a delay adjustment, then test this again by doing the RNG once more to see if it was a random jump to the wrong seconds. If not, then adjust your DS minutes again, without adjusting your delays, until you're on the right seconds again.

Yeah, I didn't touch anything. I'm just going to change my IV spread since I can't seem to hit that one.

If I'm correct you're saying whatever gender has the 75% rate, pretty much will be the outcome?

Gender

There are four columns used to help you determine the gender of a Pokémon . This is necessary because gender is determined, in part, by the gender ratio of the Pokémon. Since RNG Reporter does not know the gender ratio of the Pokémon you are breeding, it lists what the gender will be for each of those four ratios.

Below is a listing of column headings in RNG Reporter and the specific genders that they apply to.

50% 50% female / 50% male
12.5% 12.5% female / 87.5% male
25% 25% female / 75% male
75% 75% female / 25% male

Well, if you try another seed and you discover you're still getting on the wrong seconds, be patient and just adjust your DS minutes to compensate.

Getting weird seconds is a part of doing RNG. The best thing to do is to learn to adjust your DS minutes to compensate, because it is likely to happen again on some other RNG at some point in time.

Edit: Mingot, I have to wipe laugh spit off my screen because of your avatar.

This is the only part I don't exactly understand, but I want to give a scenario and see if I'm right;

Since Oddish has a 50/50 gender ratio, if the seed for 50% is male, that means the Oddish will be male, correct?

anyone know why when i hit next frame on vba with emerald in it the frame advances abnormally instead of advancing by one frame according to a few videos ive watched it should only advance by one frame ???

In JavaRNG, after I perform the search and create the Excel file, what do the A, B, C, and F column values stand for?

Yeah, but since I'm pretty new at RNG, I'll wait a bit before learning that for now. I've found a spread that I can hit pretty well, so I'll stick with it. I wish it was flawless though.

If your other seed was flawless, you should stick with it. It's really just a matter of changing your DS minutes. You keep your calibrated second and your wanted seconds the same on Pikatimer as before, but you just move your DS start time up or down a minute until you find that you are landing on the correct wanted seconds. I've done this many times to get my caught pokemon, and I'm actually very new to RNG. I only started a few months ago.

Say I wanted a non-shiny egg for HGSS, would I just look up the shiny version, and than just skip over the Joey calls to get the correct nature, ability, and gender. But lack the Shininess?
Or how would I go figuring out my Seed for the non-shiny egg?

Yeah, I didn't touch anything. I'm just going to change my IV spread since I can't seem to hit that one.

If you didn't touch anything, then that's your problem. When you adjust your delay, Pikatimer doesn't do the same with the seconds, so you have to adjust them yourself.

Erm...the NPC is random, so it's hard to say which frame you start on. You "can" do a rough calibration of it, but imo, it makes no difference if you have roamers out (since on seed to time, roamer location is also an indicative factor in what delay you landed on and can be used to check).

If you've already caught your roamers...then I don't know, XD.

I'm in process of re-writing JavaRNG to make it much faster and more effective. Does anyone know anything that they want to see in the next version?

Would it be possible to create a way to enter in a specific PID and then it comes up with all the different seeds and frames that PID can be found on?

An option to make Pikatimer adjust the first timer so that it matches the target second after entering a delay in Other Delay would be nice.

PikaTimer is coming later :). I'm adding a full-fledged options menu for customizable beep times and tones, etc. I'll come back here for ideas for that once I've redone JavaRNG. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

If it not to much of a bother

1. Ability to search for seeds on specific date (Which I think would probably be hard to do), but it something I would enjoy alot

2. Wondercard method

3. Ability to sure for seeds with delays -10 <= x <= 99. (I think Minigot also said that would be a pain to do)

4. I would like to see something that I would be able to look for TR pokemon (A new search method that look for low IV in the stats I want it and high IVS in other stats)

Edit again

5. All seeds found from the javarng program will show up in RNGreporter.

Pikatimer( Edit: Rockin X beat me to asking you :) )
Something that becoming to common

1. An Updated feature that update the timer with seconds and delays

Hypotheical example that is similar to my problems
If may delay and time was

06/06/2006 13:41:59 delay of 3096

I hit a delay of 3040

I update the pikatimer

I use the pikatimer again and got the same delay or 3040 or I got the right delay but the wrong second (in this case 13:42:00)

Thank you for your time!

Edit again,again
for javarng

Just a though

A function that will search for seed with ability, nature and IV for pokewalker pkmn

The TR stats are already on the list, and believe it or not, date/delay searching is NOT that hard anymore, I recently found an algorithm that will make it very simple. All of those suggestions (including those for PikaTimer) are implementable. Thanks again for the ideas!

Ok, then I second the motion of entering a PID and have JavaRNG come up with a list of the spreads to which it belongs.

Looking for a 31/31/30/30/31/3 spread with a all 31 parent as A, and a all 0 parent in B.
I need it to be on a frame of 6, but delay doesn't matter. Anyone know of any spreads?
