Lifestyle Most physically painful thing you were ever put through?

Okay so getting shot doesn't hurt in the traditional sense. Most injuries you just get an immediate surge of extreme pain. Getting shot you don't realize you're in pain until you feel wherever you got hit get warm. Then it hurts really bad.

Anyway I stubbed my toe while having a hangnail the other day and it was way worse.

When I was, like, four or five I was jumping on one of those kids-sized trampolines they used to make with the little safety handrail thing on one side. I must have been pretty hyper or something that day because I was jumping just high and hard enough to where I somehow hit my left arm really hard by accident on the handrail and the entire trampoline flipped on top of me. To this day this remains the only time I’ve ever broken a bone, knock on wood.

I was also climbing on a fence one time (wasn’t even that high up, probably only a foot or two off the ground) and fell backwards and “split my head open” as they said it on some smaller rocks on the ground but no one would listen to me when I tried telling the crowd of people behind me that it looked more painful than it actually was. My parents insisted on taking me to the ER but true to my assumption nothing came back wrong. No concussion or anything, and any dizziness I did have wore off in, like, five to ten seconds. But of course I still got yelled at for it. For context I was early on in high school at this point.

A few weeks ago, I slipped in my shower and hit the side of my bathtub on my left side. Went to the doctor next day, after an X ray and a CT scan, he found I have 2 broken ribs. Worst part about broken ribs? There’s no cast or anything you can put on them. All you can do is take painkillers, rest and wait.

I’m down to just paracetamol now, and it’s healing nicely. Also getting a proper shower instead of just a bathtub with a shower attachment (been meaning to do that for years but never got round to it).

When I was a young entity, I tripped on a foam roll and slammed face-first into a hardwood floor. I lost a tooth and had a swollen lip for a while. To this day, that's the hardest I've ever eaten shit, which is how you can tell that I don't do very much.

I also know that I had a black eye in elementary school, but I don't remember if that was the same incident or another injury, so it must not have been that painful.

a very bad cavity exposed a dental nerve. the first time something touched it i actually went blind and deaf for a minute because of how painful it was. had to drain literally my entire bank account at the time to get it fixed but it was worth it

I had TMJ disorder this spring. After eating, the muscles around my jaw would get really tight and put a lot of tension on my jaw, which caused a really sharp pain on one side of my face that would not go away for several minutes, sometimes longer. It also occasionally came on at night when I put any sort of pressure on my head, which made sleeping really hard. I've since managed it with physical therapy, but God was it miserable.
