I remember back in the day on the generations of R/B/Y, and how you could get any TM on any pokemon. The only really hard one was Hyper Beam and Substitute. (Now, you can get those easier and Sub is used a lot in conjuction with Focus Punch and Berries.) In G/S/C, it was about breeding and Sleep Talking, and in R/S was about.....okay, I really don't what that's about, but I know it was harder to breed for me and TMs were harder to get for me. now Diamond and pearl it's all about the Wifi and trading online. IMO.

Okay, so on with the question, What do you think is the most used TM, that's hardest to get or only have one of.

Explosion is hardest to get. Stone Edge and Earhquake are the most in-demand, a cursory look at the trading folder will show you that much.

Most used in my opinion is Stealth Rock or Stone Edge

Hardest to obtain is probably Explosion. Though it's not really hard, it just takes FOREVER, and a lot of luck to get.

Earthquake is probably the most common move in competition, and it costs a huge 80 BP. Explosion is enormously annoying to get; the slot bonus thing always resets after 3 or 4 rounds for me, even though I made no mistakes.

Earthquake is a very common move, and with only one free TM and costing a big 80BP to buy, I voted that way for the poll. Explosion is also a good TM to have because it is a bitch to get.
Furthermore, I believe that all the Gym Leader TM's that are good are also popular (Mainly Stealth Rock/Grass Rope), but the good news is they are early in the game so its reasonably easy to get a bunch of them (I have like 8 Stealth Rocks/Grass Ropes).

Also, Ice/Fire/Thunderpunch are not TM's, or did I miss something?

Those aren't hard at all to get. There's a gentleman and a socialite south of Hearthome City, and after their Pokemon reach level 60, they each give 12000 money without Luck Incense/Amulet Coin, so you can just buy the coins.

We have numerous cloning glitches for this, you know >.> Between Emerald cloning, an easy glitch in JP versions, and the GTS glitch, or the hard way, by ripping off #SPP-wifi, there are numerous ways to get even rare TMs like Stealth Rock and Grass Knot.

lol @ Surgo. That is very funny in a literal comedy sense.

Stone Edge is popular too. I forgot it in my first post.

I see it as Ice/Fire/Thunderpunch.

They aren't on Move Tutors anymore, and its a total pain to earn the points to tutor, migrate to D/P, then breed for the right natures and IV's.

If you have a team of level 100 pickup-pers, earthquake shouldn't be that hard to get. I think explosion is the hardest to get, but I was very lucky. I didn't know explosion is obtained that way. I got over 20 bonuses straight on my second try, then I talked to the lady and she gave me explosion.
