Welcome to the first cash tournament in ZU Old Gens history! This is a BW ZU tournament, which is played under the BW PU format. It is a best-of-3, single-elimination tournament. The purpose of this tour is to 1) introduce people to the new-and-improved BW ZU following some pretty big, post-ZUPL meta shakeups, and 2) give the Smogon community the opportunity to have fun and make some cash. The benefactors for this tour are Mirbro, Adaam, Kalalokki, Procrastinasian, SBPC, 16bit, Toto, and myself.

Tournament Rules:
  • Single-elimination until the semifinals. The losers of the semifinals round will play during the finals round for 3rd place.​
  • This is a best-of-3 tournament.​
  • Each round will last one (1) week. 48-hour extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis. Failure to schedule and play games will result in a coin flip.​
  • Replays are mandatory. Any series without public replays will also be coin-flipped.​
  • All BW ZU games are to be played under the Gen 5 PU format. For more information about the BW ZU metagame, you can visit our resources page here.​

  • 1st place - $501 + custom avatar + forum banner
  • 2nd place - $201
  • Semifinalists (3rd & 4th place) - $101
  • Quarterfinalists (5th-8th place) - $51
  • All entrants will be entered into a giveaway for a piece of SPL XIII merchandise. The winner of the apparel giveaway must play at least one round to receive their prize (more details coming soon.)
