Music To Play Pokemon to???

What Music do you play Pokemon too? Lets face it, nobody listens to the music after the first 3 minutes, it's sooooo annoying, especially when you're trying to grind :/
I think the best Music to play pokemon to is by Far Drum and Bass, a particular Favourite of mine is The Island Part 2 (Dusk) by Pendulum, that song, when i'm in a good mood makes me want to kill things. The juxtaposition between that and the actual pokemon makes me laugh plus the fact when you've got a kill streak going when you're EV training, or when you're destroying the Elite 4, nothing revs you on better than some Beeps and Drumming :L

Your thoughts?

Just reinforcing the point.

If I had to listen to other music though, it'd likely be something that fits the tone of the actual area. Team Rocket's base might get something Mission Impossible-y and wait.why.am.I.entertaining.this.

Swan lake by Tchaikovsky fits most of the areas pretty well :) though, If you think I'm not a real fan of pokemon then you're wrong, I've got Super Smash Bros arrangements and original Music on my iPod, some of my most played songs are those. I said the music was annoying because I've been playing on some of the older games recently and it was the music that kind of killed the nostalgia. Especially Lavender town, that plain scares me. But still I think that it's fairly fun to listen to other music while playing

Are you joking? I've been playing tons of 1st generation games lately and the music just makes it so much more complete for the lack of a better word. The only time I don't listen to in-game music for generation 1 is when I'm playing Pokémon Stadium, because listening to everything at 3x speed is kind of annoying.

Well, the music is good at first but, it's 8-bit, which annoys me. The music itself, like road to viridian city, is a great piece of music, it's just the effect of it is lessened when it's just bleeps. The orchestrated version on Super Smash Bros. Brawl is musically superior but still holds the nostalgia

Quit trolling. The music is probably the most nostalgic part of playing a gen 1 game. Also, everyone knows lavender town is the shit.

I just have a playlist of some of my favorites
Spyro the dragon 1, 2, and 3 music, Remixed pokemon themes, Okami, Mother/Earthbound, a couple of Kingdom Hearts songs, Sephiroths theme, Kirby Air Ride music, Sly Cooper, Mario and Luigi Boss music, Jak 3, Halo Main theme, Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, and Crash Bandicoot.

Thats what I have so far, any suggestions to add on?

That sounds like my sister's video game soundtrack playlist, except with more Halo, (even if the games aren't that good the music is terrific,) and a ton of Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic music is kind of 8-bit which the OP has a problem with but since you included Spyro the Dragon I don't think you would have a problem with Sonic 1-3 + Sonic & Knuckles music

drum and bass is the best music to listen to, it's my laddering music

for intense tournament fights i blast some postrock

Ingame I usually listen to the music, although for HG I keep the GB Sounds on except when grinding the Elite Four and Lance.

When laddering I listen to a wide array of stuff, from System of a Down to Ulquiorra Segunda Etapa Theme to Kingdom Hearts music to Megaman Zero music. Really just depends on my mood amd whether or not there's anything good on TV competing for my attention.

I don't hate it, but I will generally choose a more refined song over it, exceptions being Fast 8-bit and newer songs remixed into 8-bit (if they're well done)

Of course I never really know for sure if I am listening to true 8-bit.

I think that all of those are great. I've got Pirates of the carribean which is class, for just playing the games, especially "He's a Pirate" for the E4 and laddering, Duel of the Fates from Star Wars (especially if it's an amazing match) is awesome
