I dont know if this is the kind of artwork you guys do, but I hope theres some on here!

I'm just gonna post some of my recent artwork.....I feel that when my personality changed as I got older, my art started to follow suit. Alot of this is, in my mind, very sophisticated and sleek looking, which has been what I've been most interested in. Please Comment =]

All Pokemon Images except Lucario were drawn be Ken Sugimori. The Lucario was drawn by someone on Serebii.
^This was only put here so some stupid people will shut up.

This is an animated banner I made basically for fun....there was basically no preparation for it, it was just a random doodle of what I felt like at the time.

This one was meant to incorporate the city life and pokemon...I think I did it in a fun and exciting way. Who wouldn't like to see Giovanni street racing?

Was made for a Trade Thread I was going to open on Smogon....I'm going to end up making another as we're probably changing the name.

A Avatar/Signature set incorporated with a common theme....I really wanted to give it that old, legendary feel. The banner didn't come out as good as I wanted though, I wanted it smaller, but the resize PHAILED.

The original inspiration for the "Legend" theme....I was bored and made this and loved it.

This was a FUN piece to make.....Hue/Sat really does wonders for some pokemon, in this case Milotic. It just had a very sexy, fun theme to it, which was refreshing for a change.

A concept for a "large userbar" that would animate the FC as well as tell the country you're from.

This is one of my favorite ones. Although its non-pokemon related, it shows alot of my style of artwork.

This is a concept piece I wanted to do for awhile. The Silver and Black American Flag is a symbol of the recession and ask for change. Since I am one of those who are looking for that change and for things to get better, I made this piece in addition to this next one.

I like your Lucario best... the first one was actually ok, just change the background colour to something more... lucarioish.

I will be taking requests in my Trade Thread which should be up next week....the background in that banner is actually a steel brush to relate to the type that nobody realizes he is....I took the colors right off of the render as well =]

I think most of them are cool, but I don't think you made the sugimori art >.>

Since your thread says "My Art", it assumes that everything there is yours, please put a Disclaimer on the top of the first post regarding you used sugimori art on some of you banners.

Other than that, good stuff.

Avatars and banners are art....not all art is drawing...there are MANY MANY MANY different kinds of art.

I never said you didn't draw those banners. But I know you didn't draw the sugimori art. Such as the Giovanni, milotic, charzard, etc.

I would have to be retard to not know that drawing isn't the only form of art. Unless of course you are claiming that you did infact draw all of those pokemon/giovanni.

Just to make it clear, I said that you should put a Disclaimer that sugimori drew those pokemon, since your topic name is misleading, in others thinking every single pixel in your post is yours.

People should know that those are Sugimori images....I dont think anybody would think I would draw them. You are the only one...if someone asks me if I drew them, I'll say I didn't. I really see no need for a disclaimer....many many people use those images everyday in their art

If I had thought that you drew them do you think we'd be having this discussion? Yes people use his art all the time, but not once have a seen someone use them and claim it being "their art". You can do what you want, I can't force you to do anything. I was just trying to help you, but apparently you don't have any like for me and anything I say so me trying to make you do anything is pointless.
 
The banners and avatars are my artwork....the Sugimoris are just materials in some of the pieces....chill out dude, you're wrong....

If I were to make a banner, and had someone else's art in the banners I could not claim them entirely as my art. Just like when you write a report and uses sources from books/Internet. You have to cite those sources in your report. I don't see why you shouldn't have to cite where you got the images of the Pokemon you use in those banners.

I love them, they're some of the best banners I've seen, seriously. You picked wonderful materials (not just the Sugimori art) and put your own flair to them by combining them and altering them. This is definitely YOUR art. Again, I love them.
 
This goes in the banners thread. That's why there is a banners thread. Please read the forum rules before creating new threads.
