My first competitive team...

My first team and first thread... mind you this is the team i haven't finished training all of the pokemon yet though
Oh and i don't really do IV's i dont care as long as it doesnt hinder one of the main stats...

Swampert - @ Leftovers
252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Lead/Physical Attacker

Stealth Rock
Avalanche
Earthquake
Waterfall

Swampert is a very good lead... and covers most of Jirachi's counters. Set up stealth rocks is the main idea then switch out to something faster like jirachi or dragonite to start doing some damage. However if I suspect a taunt I'll take it and hit them with an attacking move! Just because he's a stealth rock lead doesn't mean he doesn't pack a punch!!!

jirachi.png

Jirachi - @ Choice Scarf
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpD

Scarf

Iron Head
Fire punch
Ice Punch
Trick

Jirachi is really good as long as your outspeeding them you will really be able to do a lot. Iron Head and its 60 percent flinch will really screw over some ppl and with enough hax you will be able to just wipeout a pokemon with multiple flinches. Iron Head for stab and flinch, Fire punch for steel counters, Ice punch for Dragons and stuff since Jirachi can keep up with them with the scarf. and trick. Trick is one of the reasons I can also use this Jirachi as a Lead because you switch the scarf to the stealth rocks user, or the switch, then switch to a counter and pummel them

Umbreon - @ Leftovers
252 HP / 252 SpD / 6 Def

Trap Passer / Special Wall

Mean Look
Baton Pass
Wish
Protect/Toxic

My special wall... Trap passer is pretty self explanatory trap then switch to a counter with baton pass, or baton pass and wish, or wish and protect. Lota options. Trying to decide between Toxic and Protect. Protect lets you heal umbreon while toxic is a good status.

Porygon-Z - @Choice Specs
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP

Special Attacker

Tri Attack
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Dark Pulse

Using him for a special attacker, thought about Gengar but then decided against it due to Rotom-C being on this team. Oh and his ability is adaptibility. Porygon-Z my main and only special attacker. Tri attack is for stab and adaptibility racking up quite some damage. T-bolt and Icebeam are for all around coverage. Dark Pulse is for predicting the switch into the inevitable ghost type.

Rotom-C - @Leftovers
252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD / 2 Spe

Dual Wall / and Status "Conditioning

Discharge
Shadow Ball
Will O Wisp / Thunder Wave?
Leaf Storm

Pretty Standard except for the weird EVs... Probably Will O Wisp but maybe Thunder Wave to allowing Swampert to outspeed. Rotom-C A mixed Wall. Good resitances and good type coverage. Leaf storm is for swampert and other Ground types I want to Hit extra hard. Shadow Ball and discharge are for stab. Not sure whether to use thunder wave or Will O Wisp. Kinda leaning towards Will O Wisp.

Dragonite - @ Life Orb
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP

DD Physical Sweeper

Dragon Dance
Outrage
Extreme Speed
Earthquake / Super Power

Just a Basic DDD... Extreme Speed Lets you outspeed just about everything thats not using a priority thats faster than you. And if you have a little atack boost it will do a "but load" of damage Outrage for Stab awesomness. Earthquake or Super Power... can't decide... Dragonite A physical Sweeper. Typical DD Super Power or Earthquake is a tough descicion so it comes down to preference

Please Rate my Team It's my first sooo yeah

Well for starters, they should have natures of Relaxed, Jolly, Carefull/Impish, Timid, Bold and Adamant retrospectively.

Personally I'd go for Toxic on Umbreon - He is a baton passer, therefore won't be in play for long periods of time rendering self healing less useful - toxic damage with SR damage will help with Porygon-Z and Dragonite's sweep. Chances are you're going to lure in foes with fighting moves, e.g Infernape, Machamp, Lucario and Scizor. Mean Look/Baton Passing out to a counter for these.

Swampert should have Ice Beam and Surf instead of Avalanche and Waterfall because Gyarados and Mence will Intimidate him into low attack.

There is no point in having 2 Speed EVs on Rotom - it won't make a difference.
If you're gonna have Rotom-C, it should have 88 speed at the expence of the special defence (as on the standard set). This is too outrun Adamant TTar and leaf storm him.

Blissey walls a lot of your team so i'd use superpower instead of earthquake with this team. However, the loss of attack is a big problem, so finding another Blissey counter would be more useful.

Hope this helped a bit.

Like previously mentioned, Swampert should be special attack based, so burns and intimidate wont majorly limit his abilities. Replace waterfall with surf and avalanche with ice beam. change the 4 Atk EV's to SpA. On Rotom, i would go with Will-o-wisp, as it cuts attack which would help a wall live longer. Also, 2 EV's do nothing. You need 4 to get a +1. Other than this, your team looks pretty solid.

Another thing, you SHOULD worry about IV's. All the poke's on my team have 31 IV's unless I have to change them for hidden power. Even if it isnt the most important stat on your poke, high IV's can make a big difference, and not having them maxed out WILL give you a disadvantage. [Also, you should include what natures your pokes are]

Hopefully this was some help.

On Swampert, use the standard Lead set, which is 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def, with Surf/Earthquake/Stealth Rock/Ice Beam or Roar. Swampert's Physical movepool is lacking, and without Moves like Ice Beam/Surf, anything Physically Defensive can withstand hits rather well, and it allows you to hit things like Salamence/Skarmory much harder.

On Jirachi, Fire Punch should only really be used when you have No Scizor Counter, but you do [Rotom], so I would change this to U-Turn, which is an extremely useful move to scout.

Your Umbreon is not doing anything, the 3 popular SpA Sweepers, Heatran, Gengar and Starmie all don't mind/immune to Toxic, and your Mean Look strategy fails against them. If you want to use Mean Look effecitvely, use either of these sets:
Mean Look/Yawn/Wish/Protect, Mean Look, Yawn then Protect, before switching to an appropriate pokemon, Wish when you need to.
Mean Look/Curse/Payback/Wish
But all in all, you either want to be able to put them to sleep, or use Payback, otherwise you are practically deadweight, alternatively this set would be generally better, Toxic/Wish/Protect/Payback.

I would change Porygon Z to a PainSplit Gengar, so you can actually beat Blissey, as well as mess around with just about all of Gengar's counters, and Gengar also has great synergy with Umbreon. However this would mean you have 2 ghosts, so Starmie is also another option to try, with LO you get the raw power you need, and Starmie has the versatility and movepool and typing which would make him better on this team.

Rotom-C does not have the HP to be both a Physical and Special wall, and really needs to specialise in one of the two, its typing makes it being Physically Defensive a much better option, and with Umbreon on there as a SpD Wall, there is no need for it to be Specially Defensive, so use this EV spread, 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spe. Don't use Thunder Wave, Discharge has 30% chance to cause paralysis, so its redundant, and you definitely need Will o Wisp there.

Dragonite, 100% outclassed by Dragon Dance Salamence, either change it to a Bulkier set, such as the Dragon Dance set on the analysis:
Dragonite @ Leftovers/Life Orb
Adamant - Inner Focus
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Atk / 204 Spe
Moves:
~ Dragon Dance
~ Dragon Claw / Outrage
~ Earthquake
~ Roost
Extremespeed is really a terrible move, and with Dragon Dance, its completely unnecessary, I mean lets look at popular Priority moves, Lucario ES, Scizor BP, neither take anything from ES..

Wow, did not see that, YAY!! However, that spread is still not effective on Dragonite. 252 Spe is wasting EVs, there is no need whatsoever to be reaching 259 Spe. 204 Speed EVs with an Adamant nature will let out outspeed standard Physical Wall Celebi, Wall Zapdos, Any Tyranitar, as well as outspeeding the Jolly CS version after a Dragon Dance, as well as Starmie and other positive base 115s. So 204 Speed EVs is still better than running 252 EVs here.

So with that in mind, a set like this may be better, 52 HP / 252 Atk / 204 Spe, although personally Dragonite has so many options to be a great Bulky Dragon Dancer, that I would personally still invest in Defences.

P-Z can be replaced by Heatran as Heatran has better Stab, is bulkier, better coverage and can to more things than P-Z.
SpecsTran is really devestating when played right.

Use Jolly on Jirachi, Relaxed on Swampert, make Rotom Bold 252 HP/168 Def/88 Spe and use Wow, Wow is far better against t-tar and other pursuiters, makes Gyara and luke useless.

Even with Salamence banned now, I find a bulkier Dragonite far better with 52 HP/252 Atk/204 Spe or 252 HP/52 Atk/204 Spe with Roost/ Dragon Claw or Outrage/EQ/ DD.
