My first Warstory. From Shoddy!

Here's my first Warstory. I've been messing around with Shoddy Battle recently, and had a few battles under my belt. I had fought Aviano earlier, but we both used different teams than these. This time, I used my new Hail Team, while he used a nice balanced team. Also, a quick note: I use Ice Beam over Blizzard because Shoddy Battle is not yet programmed to give Blizzard 100% accuracy in Hail. Well, heres goes my first Warstory.

Ionizer sent out Weavile.
Aviano sent out Gallade.
Weavile is exerting its pressure!

My Weavile has a Choice Band on her, so I didn't want to get locked into something bad right at the start. I first thought of using Aerial Ace, but I figured he might switch, so I went with Ice Punch instead.

Weavile used Ice Punch.
Gallade lost 82% of its health.
Gallade used Close Combat.
It's super effective!
Weavile lost 461% of its health.
Ionizer's Weavile fainted.
Gallade's defence was lowered.
Gallade's special defence was lowered.
Gallade lost 10% of its health. (8% left)

5-6 Yikes. Not a great start...

As it turns out, Aviano had feared a Pursuit, so he stayed in and demolished my poor Weavile. Although now Gallade was pretty much crippled.

Ionizer switched in Abomasnow.
Abomasnow's Snow Warning started a blizzard!
Hail began to fall!

I decided to do something risky here...

Ionizer switched in Froslass.
Gallade used Close Combat.
It doesn't affect Froslass...
The hail continues to fall.
Gallade is pelted by hail!
Gallade lost 6% of its health. (2% left)

Yes! It paid off, free hail and free switch to Froslass. The Ghostly Snow Sprite has a Choice Scarf, so I knew she'd be able to get rid of Gallade, especially because now it was nigh impossible for Gallade to switch back in.

Froslass used Ice Beam.
Gallade lost 49% of its health.
Aviano's Gallade fainted.
The hail continues to fall.

5-5 All evened up now.

Aviano switched in Weavile.
Weavile is exerting its pressure!

Well, now that I'm locked into Ice Beam, Frossy can't take Weavile. I take a big gamble in switching, hoping that Weavile doesn't...

Weavile used Pursuit.
Weavile's attack missed!
Ionizer switched in Mamoswine.
The hail continues to fall.

Close call. Thank you Snow Cloak! Now Mammy's in. I'm gonna put the hurt on that weasel.

Aviano switched in Swampert.
Mamoswine used Stone Edge.
It's not very effective...

Wow, should've seen that coming... Oh well. For some reason, I think Aviano might switch in a Flier or Levitater, so I hold back the Earthquake.

Swampert used Surf.
It's super effective!
Mamoswine lost 83% of its health.

4-5 I need to do some catch-up...

I bring in the living Christmas Tree to deal with Swampy. A Choice Spec'd Energy Ball should make quick work of it.

Aviano switched in Bronzong.
Abomasnow used Energy Ball.
It's not very effective...

D'oh. Now I'm locked into a bad type matchup. Nothing to do but...

Pointed stones float in the air around your foe's team!

Uh-oh... Stealth Rocks really hurt this team. No time to think about that now, I have floating bell to kill.

Good, this means I have at least one turn to set up. I also take note of Hypnosis on Bronzong.

OK, now it time for this annoying bell to toll for the last time.

Wow, very bad luck with Hypnosis. Bronzong is hurting, and this next attack should put it out of its misery.

Well, I'm locked into Ice Beam now, but I know if I switch, he'll catch me with Pursuit. I decide to stick it out, maybe hoping for a freeze (can Ice Pokemon even get frozen?).

Right now, I'd like to thank GameFreak for Snow Cloak. Second time it's saved me from this Weavile's Pursuit.

Weavile's not in good health, and I know Regice can't take a physical hit, so out comes the Yeti.

2-3 Maybe this isn't a lost cause...

2-2 Lucky Yeti-Tree is faster than Hulk Hogan...

Heh, easy pickins. Swampy's going down.

Erm, maybe not... Well, I figure I can't switch Abomasnow back in with those rocks floating around, so I keep him in. Regice should be able to finish this.

OK, I have a type advantage over Roserade, and should be able to take her hits. As far as I know, Swampert's got special attacks (it only used Surf), so I should be able to take those hits too. At this point, Mysterious Stallion comes in to watch the battle.

1-1 Down to the wire.

I have a big decision to make. Regice probably can't kill Swampy with one hit from here. Swampert can kill Regice. I could take my chances with Ice Beam this turn, or I coult Rest and then gamble on Sleep Talk hitting Ice Beam next turn (instead of Thunderbolt). Also, at this point, Mysterious Stallion suggests that one of us post this as a Warstory.

It's a draw! Well, that's a little anti-climactic. But, it was a good match.

--Aviano's Swampert, for not being fully paralyzed once throughtout the whole match.

Thanks for putting me into props, I just saw it finish as a draw and close matches normally make great warstories. I like your writing style (told you it would turn out alright), however some of the prediction skills were subpar by you and your opponent (which I never noticed when I suggested you to warstory this cause I came on at the end). Still, it was a really close battle, and in the end I think that made the story pretty good, even with the bad predictions.

Considering we are both not exactly pro, I think this was a pretty good battle. I love my Bulky Machamp. Also, I think this is the first draw I've seen in a warstory.

I like this warstory. It was close the entire match, which is good. Also, the unique choice of a hail team, especially on Shoddy Battle, along with the first draw I've seen in a warstory, makes this a good one.

Do evasion abilities like Snow Cloak actually have a higher chance of working in Shoddy Battle than they do in DP, or did you just get extremely lucky?

Ice Pokemon can't be frozen. Also, I'm pretty sure that in normal circumstances, you would have lost, because IIRC the game ignores weather if your Pokemon was KOed by an attack.

Yeah, it does. But that's beside the point. I liked this warstory. You didn't really use humor, which you might want to work on in the future, even if it's just subtle, not laughing but chuckling, humor, but I could make it through your entire story anyway. And it was a close battle. I always enjoy those which have one pokemon sweeping through a team, then getting taken out at the last minute.
