With the Advent of Platinum on Shoddy, I was at first unimpressed, and refused to change, and still really havent other than changing espeon to skymin. However, this team has me stuck in 1300-1350, and I would love to get into the 1400s. So, Smogon, plz help and Rate My Team!

SKYMIN!!!(I couldnt find a sprite D=)

TEH SETUP
dpmfa142.png

SpeEDdrAgoN (Aerodactyl) (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Ice Fang
---
Best lead in the game imo. Outspeeds all but electrode and Deoxys-e, and ties with only 2 others (and other aeros) Idea is to taunt them, so they cant setup rocks or up their stats, and them setup rocks myself. Stone Edge is for STAB, and sometimes takes out opponents, or sets them to 1 HP to be picked off. Ice Fang is for additional coverage, but I was thinking of maybe changing it to EQ or Crunch. Any suggestions? Finally, the Sash guarantees at least setting up rocks and taunting, barring priority moves and hail.

TEH DRAGON-DANCER
dpmfsa130.png

LeViaThiN (Gyarados) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 34 HP/252 Atk/224 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
- Stone Edge
---
This thing is beast. This thing alone has practically swept teams. The idea is to have shedinja (see below) as bait for a fire move (usually scarftran is the best case scenario). THen switch to him, and DD as they switch. Then, simply sweep. The only problems Ive had are with Priority moves added with Passive Damage (esp Life Orb). Waterfall is STAB, Ice Fang is for Dragons/Gliscor/Skymin, and SEdge is mainly for other Gyras who switch in.

TEH REVENGE KILLER
dpffsa214.png

JunO (Heracross) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Night Slash
- Megahorn
- Close Combat
---
Though originally meant to be a wall breaker, I found that without heatran (my revenge killer) I needed a revenge killer. And so, I brought back Scarfcross, whom I have used before, and he doing pretty good. Pretty Standard set, though at some point, I may switch Night Slash for Pursuit.

TEH SURPRISE SWEEPER
dpmfsa292.png

Shedinja @ Focus Sash
Ability: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Shadow Sneak
- Will-o-wisp
- X-Scissor
- Swords Dance
---
Call me crazy (and I know at least a couple will), but this thing RAPES. Priority Move for picking off foes, SD for when I know theyre gonna switch, Will-o-Wisp to cripple sweepers, XScissor for Stab. Works AMAZING in combination w/ Gyra, leading in Heatrans especially. Also, counters Gengars well.

TEH SPINNER
dpmfsa121.png

StaRryNitE (Starmie) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Illuminate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump

My spinner. Though you may disagree with the set, it is working for me now, though I am open to suggestions. BoltBeam hits many things in the game, and STAB Hydropump is something that few can resist. Finally, Rapid Spin, of course. Also, he's scarfed to ensure SR removal.

TEH SUBSALAC SPECIAL SWEEPER
23gxtuo.png

Im Gonna be UBER ^^ (Shaymin-s) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Seed Flare
- Air Slash
-Substitute
---
True to its name, my only special sweeper shall sadly need to be replaced ='(. But until it is sent to uber, I shall enjoy my Skymin. Air Slash for Flinch Hax, Seed Flare for ridiculous SpDef Lowering, as well as 180 BP STAB. Earth Power for countering Heatran, as well as any other Rck, Fire, or Stl type foolish enough to switch into me. Currently, I am trying out a Sub Salac strategy, but due to the obscene amounts of BPunch Scizors, I am thinking of replacing it =/ suggestions?

-----

So thats my team, plz help me! Rate it, give me good suggestions, and I shall try.

I take no credit for the sprites: thanks go out to Pokemon Elite 2000Pokemon Elite 2000http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites.html

Threat List to come later!

Instead of Psychic on Skymin, go with Earth Power. You can easily out stall Weezing with Air Slash. Also, what's the need for Hp Fighting? Choose Hp Fire or Ice instead.

HP Fighting WAS mostly for covering Steel, Gross and Scizor respectively, as well as Ice, (apparently Regice is a counter). However, I obviously overlooked fire, as it gets SE damage on all of them >.<
and yah, i think ill go with Earth Power, as Psy only really hits Fiting, which is covered with STAB Air Slash.

tyvm ^^

False information, HP Fire will just kill Skymin's ass more, AKA ScarfTran switch, smiles with a boost on its face, and goes for the quick KO. I would just replace the Pyschic/Fighting combo for Earth Power / HP Ice, it is a more effective combo in general when you can already kick Bronzong's ass. I would also switch Donphan, to Starmie who can run the BoltBeam combo, Rapid Spin, and Recover making it superior in all categories, but mostly offense as your team revolves around this key fact. I would also switch Shedinja for ScarfHastyTran with Explosion, HP Ice, Fire Blast, and Earth Power to beat Skymin who can rape your team with the SubAttacker set. Heatran can switch in once you've broken the Sub, and kill it immediately. If it is All-Out Attacker switch in on any move except Earth Power and kill it.

I would also replace your LODos for the BulkyMence set in the analysis as you can't do shit to Lucario or Heracross. If you say Gyarados just because of Intimidate, you'll be surprised when a +4 ExtremeSpeed KOs after SR. You also only have 34 EVs in HP as its "bulk". If you want to keep Gyarados, change it to the traditional BulkyDos.

I would also suggest you use the Standard Flame Orb set in the analysis as it can OHKO Gliscor, which is needed for any Heracross to actually sweep.

My Gyra isnt sposd 2 b bulky, its sposd 2 b a sweeper. Also, I beat lucs every time. And I way Gyra mostly hes an amazing DD Sweeper, the Int is only the icing on the cake. But what moveset would you suggest? (ps ive tried Rest/Sleep Talk/DD/Waterfall and HATED it)

I wouldn't put Earthquake on Aerodactyl because of Azelf and Gengar being common leads, plus with Focus Sash it seems like you don't plan on switching out often to come back with an EQ later. Stone Edge is already covered by two strong attackers, Crunch would be a good move if you decided on it.
Everyone but Shedinja would fare well against Tyranitar or Hips, unless you can change the weather you'll be handicapped. I won't bother with the moveset because I've nver used/battled one online.
Our Heracrosses are nearly the same so I can't really say anything, except that I picked Jolly because Flame Orb already helps attack. Most of the Pokémon who can safely switch in to Heracross aren't as strong, I try to outspeed them incase they can kill first with help from Flame Orb damage. As far as Swords Dance, Heracross doesn't always last long enough to make good use of it.
You don't have Fire or Electric attacks, BP Scizor or Punch Metagross (ok not a real template) might be able to last a few turns, though they're not so common. *HP Fighting is only neutral to both while Fire hits em.

OK first things first: Shedinja and Donphan need to go. They're both extraordinarily useless on an offensive team (which is what you're playing, by the way). Having a spinner is nice, but with a Taunt SR Aerodactyl lead, you shouldn't have a lot of trouble with SR unless your opponent uses Deoe.

One of the two empty slots can be filled by a Choice Scarf Gengar. As it stands now, you have no way to stop yourself from being swept by DD Gyarados, and the only way to stop DD Salamence is the severely useless Donphan (who is leaving anyway). A Gengar @ Choice Scarf with Shadow Ball / TBolt / HP Ice / Trick or Focus Blast would go in nicely here. Hypnosis is also an option, but with only 60% accuracy and Gengar's frail body I would take one of the more reliable moves.

The other spot can be filled by a Calm Zapdos with TBolt / HP Ice / Roost / Sleep Talk. Sleep Talk isn't totally necessary, especially with the recent drop in Hypnosis' accuracy, but with it, Zapdos becomes a veritable Gengar counter, and gives you something to take sleep. Note that Calm Zapdos does well against Skymin as well (as long as it doesn't have leech seed). Heat Wave is an option over HP Ice or Sleep Talk.

I would change Heracross to be a Sub/Salac user:
Heracross @ Salac Berry
Jolly Nature (+ Speed -SpAtk)
252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
IV: 30 HP
Ability: Swarm
-Substitute
-Swords Dance
-Megahorn
-Close Combat / Stone Edge

This is a much better wall breaker than your current one due to SD, and it doesn't lose HP each turn from Flame Orb. It's also a much more potent sweeping force due to Salac Berry. Stone Edge is useful to beat the Zapdos which could otherwise wall your Skymin, but CC is generally more useful and reliable.

Drop Aero's Ice Fang for EQ. With Garchomp gone the Rock / Ice attacking combination is a lot less useful. EQ is a better option, as it provides good coverage with Stone Edge.

Similarly, drop Gyarados' Ice Fang for Earthquake, and give it 252 Speed EVs, so that you will outrun Skymin after a DD.

Drop Skymin's Psychic and HP Fighting for Earth Power and HP Ice. This should be obvious, as it provides much better coverage than your current set.

^Might Reversal be better than Close Combat on that Hera? I want to go over what TAY says but that's for you to decide on. You're both probably more right than me anyway.

right now, im trying a Starmie to replace Donphan as Rapid Spinner, but tbh I love my shedinja, hes won me more matches (in combo w/ gyra) than I can count.

If Starmie doesnt work out, Ill try Zapdos, and when (not if) Skymin gets banned, ill try Gengar.

almost bump D=
either way, thanks to all, i am now around 1360, but still can have a much better team.

Currently, I am running a ScarfCross, and Skymin is a subsalac type

plz continue rating!!

~Hiya~ it's me Chileno :)

Alright, first of all, change the ability on Starmie why iluminate. Natural Cure pwns more!

You're team is 2 SR weak when Starmie is gone he can just set up again and screw your whole team. Shedinja can work, but not in OU. You don't have a pokemon that changes weather so any Hail or Sandstorm team screws you. As someone suggested Crunch you could opt for that, but Earthquake does something to the common TrickScarf Metagross leads.

From the RMT rules:

7. Bumping: If your team is interesting enough to comment on, people will do it for you. If no one at all comments on your RMT for around 24 hours, feel free to bump it. After that, do not bump it again unless you are making significant changes. "Stealth Bumps" will not be tolerated. Moderators and Administrators can see your deleted posts, so do yourself and us a favor and don't even attempt this.

You have clearly bumped your thread many more times than this. As a result, I am obliged to close it.
