I've been asked a few times to share some Galar Dex AG teams due to the cup, so I'll dump some of the better teams I made for Pre-Dynamax ban ubers, and ones I made solely for Galar Dex AG. May as well dump them too as I am out now:

1) Zekrom and Lunala Bulky Offense:
:Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: :Marshadow: :Zekrom: :Ditto: :Zacian-Crowned: :Tyranitar:
A bulky offense which uses Ditto to blanket check other offensive mons. Team description here. I built it extremely early into the meta so it might not be that good (literally day 1). Defensive DD NDM improofs itself.

2) Cosmic Power Eternatus + Lunala Hazard Stack Balance:
:Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: :Lunala: :Ferrothorn: :Eternatus: :Tyranitar: :Zacian-Crowned:
Main weakness is probably Excadrill. Ferro TTar is nice to 'check' KyuB/Zek/Gyara/NDM and TTar checking Reshi/Lunala/KyuW/Eternatus.

3) Dragon Dance Reshiram and Swords Dance Zacian Bulky Offense:
:Reshiram: :Zacian-Crowned: :Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: :Ferrothorn: :Corviknight: :Tyranitar:
Ditto weak, but the person I built it to fight against didn't use much ditto. It also has a chance vs ditto - the opponent did end up bringing ditto the game I brought this but I still managed to win as Reshiram killed his Ditto as he predicted a switch out and used Flare Blitz (Reshiram forces a risk for ditto - clicking Flare Blitz and I may stay in, clicking Outrage and I revenge with Zacian allowing SD Zacian to have a much more free battle later on, or Dynamax Wyrmwind which forces a 50/50 speedtie). Dugtrio is a weakness, but it isn't massively common in Pre-Dynamax ban Ubers.

4) CB Exca + Reshiram Sand Balance
:Excadrill: :Reshiram: :Ferrothorn: :Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: :Tyranitar: :Corviknight:
This is definitely my favourite team of the lot. The idea is that LO 3 Attacks Reshiram is pretty much uncounterable - no switchin exists but some special walls hoping to check or faster mons might come in: Chople Tyranitar or a Tyranitar hoping to dodge the Focus Blast/Vaporeon/Mandibuzz/Umbreon and faster mons like Eternatus/Zacian-Crowned. Excadrill on the other hand combats the special fatmons and also nukes Zacian/Eternatus and forces them out, while being good speedcontrol. Earthquake 2HKOs none resists and completely disrupts mons like Ferrothorn which may try to switch in. Reshiram in turn threatens the passive mons which can sit on Excadrill: Ferro/Corvi. Corviknight improofs Excadrill and provides a pivot to my two nukes. I wanted to try CM DM and it definitely delivers - it can lure corvi/ferro in for Exca to sweep and has much less clear cut walls than DD NDM. The best way to deal with it is for them to pressure it early on to stop it setting up with Lunala or Reshiram which I can massively threaten myself with Exca. Dugtrio is a weakness, but it isn't massively common in Pre-Dynamax ban Ubers.

5) Marsh + Lunala GhostSpam Balance
:Marshadow: :Lunala: :Zacian-Crowned: :Ferrothorn: :Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: :Mandibuzz:
Marsh is good at destroying the dark type lunala checks or the passive special walls, while Lunala is good at combatting mons like DMax NDM/Eternatus and other stuff which 'switches in' to Marsh.

https://pokepast.es/b752df52e9372ea1 This is just a surprise chansey team with sash ray.

https://pokepast.es/0088caa05e719275 This is a metronome ygod bulky offense team, this team does not lose much and destroys the ladder.

https://pokepast.es/2a52304788d913f1 Stall team with 3 arcs+ chansey may be weak to dd dm, but you can work your way around it such as wisp it with arc rock.

https://pokepast.es/c154cfbd3cf4dd8b Mdiancie semi-stall. You can work your way around specs pogre by going in to ditto and getting ogre weak so then ferro can take over.

https://pokepast.es/3bb147bb584edd10 Defensive ogre+ttar balance. This is my favorite team, this team got me very far in ssnls and on the ladder to. This team barely loses if you play it right. Although this team does lose to specs ogre tho.

https://pokepast.es/33435975c02d86fc Mttar stall, this team is a very good stall, but i haven't tested it yet. It may lose to Xern.

:Zacian-Crowned::Gothitelle::Yveltal::Gengar-Mega::Necrozma-Dusk-Mane::Ferrothorn:
This is a goth + mgar trap balance, many people would say its weak to mray but actually all u need to do is go zac when mray is out, and u will probably predict if it will switch into ditto so u can go sub before.

:Arceus-Poison::Arceus-Water::Arceus-Dark::Ferrothorn::Rayquaza-Mega::Ditto:
This is 3arcs+ ditto balance team, this team is very good because it mainly counters everything because of the 3 arcs + mray which hits the teams very hard, this team is very weak to zac if ditto is dead. Btw, you can run scarf mray instead of band for ygod, and to out speed xern and zac.

:Yveltal::Arceus-Ground::Arceus-Fairy::Chansey::Mewtwo-Mega-Y::Necrozma-Dusk-Mane:
This is a mmy bulky offensive team. Mmy is very great at pressuring mons+ mmy got recover which is very useful. Also the reason i got arc fairy at 330 speed is because its able to beat ada mray and ygod. Also arc fairy is able to pressure switchins with wisp such as zac and many other physical mons. Chansey is to wall pogre and other spa attacks with cm. Ygod is just to pressure mons in to recover and also is able to take out alot of mons. Btw, necro is meant to wall zac and stop xern. Arc ground pretty self explanitory.

I may edit this post later and post more teams. Btw, if you got any questions abt these teams just pm me @Aquarius Ghost ❤. Also the teams with sprites are the new ones.

Why metrome on Yveltal? And all your yveltals are minus defensive nature. Why is that?

All your yveltals are minus defensive nature. Why is that?

All Yveltal in the team are mixed. A mixed attacker means that it hits both on the physical and special side. You would normally consider a Modest (+SpA, -Atk) or Timid (+Spe, -Atk) nature, but since the Yveltal is mixed, it shouldn't use said nature since it reduces Yveltal's physical Attack. A -Def nature like Mild (+SpA) or Hasty (+Spe) is better in that case, since defensive stats don't matter that much for Yveltal since it's an attacker.

Yep, that's why I run -def on all my Yveltals.

also why not run Hidden Power Ice on that Yveltal instead of rock slide for Zygarde?Max darkness should destroy ho oh as a physical attack as well as steel wing instead of heat wave for xerns. that defence boost can also help against Zacian matchups but u will take hits. Talking about diancie sample semi stall set btw

Okay, first of all I made a metronome team just for the memes. Now, Lets look at the calcs for a sec on zyg
Max hailstorm is a ohko on zyg 252+ SpA Life Orb Yveltal Max Hailstorm vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Zygarde: 717-847 (170.7 - 201.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO,
Also max darkness is a ohko aswell, 252+ SpA Life Orb Dark Aura Yveltal Max Darkness vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Zygarde: 422-499 (100.4 - 118.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO.
Now lets check zacian still ohkos you +1 252+ Atk Zacian-Crowned Behemoth Blade vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Dynamax Yveltal: 686-810 (87.2 - 103%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO even when u take lo dmg.
So it rlly does not matter what set I run lmao you will still get the same result on zygod and zac

i see. Im asking cause I've used ur teams and i like them all but i was wondering why you choose some sets. Thanks for the explanation. Though, for the zygarde calls its useless cause u was running 252+ spa yveltal. i was talking about the hasty one on semi stall diance team

Thanks for liking my teams. But yes, prior kill yveltal very easily like mray does 40 even if its not hasty but on hasty it does more.

couldn't i run a special set on that sample diance semi-stall team? doesn't seem to make a difference what u run on that yveltal set in terms of attacking

In my opinion, I would rather run a mixed set such as: knock off, darkp, Oblivion wing, steel wing/heatwave.
I have noticed that many special sets would be very hard to break teams with. So, if you ran a mixed set it would be very hard to deal with for ur opponent and then would end up sacking a mon. P sure ur ygod can take out 1-3 mons if it's mixed. So basically mixed ygod is better to break Chansey stalls/ balances.

makes sense. thanks once again. why run double stealth rock for ferro and diancie tho? no spikes?

I’m not really sure what to say here so let’s get started with the teams. Unless otherwise specified, none of these are samples submission.
R1 v yovan33321
G1

:smeargle::landorus-therian::groudon::arceus-ghost::rayquaza-mega::kyogre-primal:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1091601186
I don’t have too much to say here. I wasn’t sure what to expect so I brought generic webs and just kinda won. The version of the team that I brought had metronome groudon, but I hadn’t realized that metronome was nerfed, so the paste has LO, which is much better.
G2
:necrozma-dusk-mane::mewtwo::shedinja::chansey::ho-oh::arceus-ground:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1091602207
This team was something that I built quite a while ago as part of an experiment. It was a really cool team, and I’m sad that the game went so quickly because I couldn’t showcase the Mewtwo. Not too much more to say here.

R2 vs Michael213
G1

:stakataka::magearna::rayquaza-mega::palkia::mew::necrozma-dusk-mane:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1096620036
Replay scouting told me this guy only ever brought the same HO, so I brought trick room with magic coat mew lead to cteam him, and it worked like a charm. Not much to say here, except that looking back, this team is really bad lol.
G2
:smeargle::xerneas::landorus-therian::arceus-ghost::rayquaza-mega::arceus-electric:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1096622640
This is a hyper-generic webs that I got from Bread Sandwich, and it works pretty well. I made some bad plays but still won. Worship eleceus.

R4 vs Shades the Man
G1

:arceus-ground::yveltal::necrozma-dusk-mane::chansey::zygarde-complete::ditto:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1106312284
I completely threw this game. I built a team with a solid MU that pretty much won at preview except I accidentally used Aura Break Zygarde because of the validator glitch so I lost, which was very unfortunate. This is a pretty ok team nonetheless, but it’s not something I particularly enjoy using.
G2
:steelix-mega::ho-oh::necrozma-dusk-mane::ferrothorn::arceus-ground::giratina:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1106318482
I used a Mega Steelix stall from Chloe, which was pretty fun and worked well. The game was still a lot closer than it should have been, thanks to some paralysis, but Mega Steelix was suuuper fun to use.
G3
:lycanroc::cloyster::yveltal::necrozma-dusk-mane::marshadow::kyogre:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1106330236
This one was very straightforward. I brought @MDB’s Lycanroc HO and collected my free win.

R6 vs Rup Ainu
G1

:mewtwo-mega-y::necrozma-dusk-mane::ditto::zygarde-complete::ho-oh::chansey:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1116216211-qs4y4xb1h09tjjmcujxh5l2hlho6irmpw
This team is a samples submission. I really like this team because it provides Mega Mewtwo Y with an incredibly bulky defensive backbone that allows to it easily rip apart bulky stalls and balances. I specifically brought Goggles Haze Zygarde instead of Leftovers because I wanted to make sure I didn’t lose to cheese if Rup brought that, but that set is pretty customizable. This replay is a really effective showcase of MMY’s insane wallbreaking power, as it ripped apart his absurdly bulky balance (?) with ease.
G2
:salamence-mega::zygarde-complete::ho-oh::ferrothorn::zekrom::arceus-dark:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1116227337
This is a really bad team. It has 0 counterplay to Xerneas, and I brought it assuming that I’d be staring down multiple smeargles. Needless to say, this assumption was incorrect, and I was staring down 0 smeargles with a terrible MU. This is a really bad team that you really shouldn’t use.
G3
:mewtwo-mega-y::necrozma-dusk-mane::ditto::zygarde-complete::ho-oh::chansey:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1116233794
I reused my g1 team, and this time the Smeargle prep paid off and I was able to pick up a pretty straightforward win.

R8 vs Ktütverde
G1

:necrozma-dusk-mane::mewtwo-mega-y::shedinja::chansey::ho-oh::arceus-ground:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1123909238
This team is also a samples submission. It’s a variant on the Mewtwo + Shedinja semistall from Round 1, but it’s overall a much more solid team thanks to its more reliable defensive backbone and the incredible power of MMY. The game was kinda haxy thanks to a bad roll + burn combo on Ktut’s MSAB, but it wasn’t thaaaat bad. This team is super fun and works pretty well, as long as you’re fairly confident you won’t have to be dealing with a smeargle... or two.
G2
:arceus-ghost::excadrill::smeargle::smeargle::xerneas::rayquaza-mega:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1123931894
This team is courtesy of Bread Sandwich, and it did its job beautifully. I got all the right boosts with Smeargle to let Xern sweep with ease. I don’t have much to say here, other than that I kinda regret bringing this team because of the misery it inflicts upon opponents.

R10 vs ice-master-523
G1

:necrozma-dusk-mane::tyranitar::rayquaza-mega::ho-oh::gothitelle::arceus-water:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1131409583
This one’s a samples submission too. I built this team gambling that I’d be able to handle Don without too much trouble thanks to ray, since it is a bit Don weak, which did prove to be the case, but aside from that it’s pretty solid. I made a handful of small misplays involving not bringing ray in at points that I should have which cost me the game, but it’s a pretty good team that I felt good about.
G2
:grimmsnarl::rayquaza-mega::arceus-ghost::kyogre::xerneas::araquanid:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1131411358
“Unfortunate” does not begin to describe this game. I brought a team with a really good matchup that should have won, but lost to a nasty roll against Groundceus, coupled with a handful of misplays regarding Ghostceus. Nevertheless, it’s a pretty fun team, because Araquanid can’t actually be set-up on by Sub + DD Zygarde, which is neat, and definitely a reason to use it against this tier’s premier Zygarde fan. S/O MDB for helping me with this.

R11 vs baconeatinassassin
G1

:necrozma-dusk-mane::ho-oh::tyranitar::arceus-ground::mewtwo-mega-y::ferrothorn:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1132510802
This was a pretty generic MMY semistall, which unfortunately got prepped for with a Darkceus. Nothing much to say here, other than that I should have brought this game 2.
G2
:giratina::zygarde-complete::zygarde-complete::necrozma-dusk-mane::chansey::tyranitar-mega:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldexag-1132514370
This team is kinda weird, but worked well when I tested it, so I decided to give it a shot. It almost, worked but MDB told me to run Haze instead of Coil on defensive Zygarde, and I lost as a result. I really like this team, but it does struggle with... cm + liquidation Kyogre, apparently. :blobshrug:

It was a fun run, guys.

Bonus content!
:giratina::shedinja::zygarde-complete::necrozma-dusk-mane::mewtwo-mega-y::arceus-dark:
This was my planned team for G3 vs Ice. I built it with Skarph, and he was super helpful. It’s a pity that I didn’t get to show off these cool techs because g3 didn’t happen. Regardless, it’s still a pretty fun team.
:giratina::zygarde-complete::necrozma-dusk-mane::mewtwo-mega-y::tyranitar::arceus-grass:
idk what I was thinking here, ig I just wanted to avoid shedinja?
:salamence-mega::necrozma-dusk-mane::ho-oh::tyranitar::zacian-crowned::ferrothorn:
I’m not entirely sure why I built this but it looked kinda fun. Unfortunately, ladder testing showed that it needs a lot more work than I was willing to put in to fix it.

Thanks for the time of everyone who read this, and I hope you enjoy the teams!

This is kind of a mini RMT I guess, but I didn't think this team was worth one as it is so similar to other teams in structure and the sets are all so standard they should explain themselves. The premise of this team is to be a team which has a neutral or good matchup vs almost every team archetype which I think it does well. Of course there are individual threats to it such as Yveltal with Rock Slide, Mixed MRay, Shedinja teams, Mixed PDon but the teams they typically feature on are weak to this team as a whole (for example Shedinja is usually on stall teams, and Mixed Don is usually on HO, my Ditto usually beats those). When using this team I don't think I ever encountered a MU which was not outplayable and so it did pretty well on ladder (2125 96.4%) and went 8-0 in AGLT and Spring SSNL combined, so this is a pretty consistent team:

I feel this is almost perfect for samples as it is an extremely simple team to pilot especially as there is no dedicated dynamaxer, so you can be flexible (zygarde to sweep or be an emergency check, or emergency check dynamax groundceus or ndm). Using a defensive dynamaxer doesn't hurt you so bad as non dyna Zygarde or the pressuring of hazard stacking still allows you to break through as well. Ditto and other bulky pivots like Ho-Oh and NDM simply allow you to outlast so many bulky teams - Ditto is insanely flexible - you can "stall" stall and sweep HO. Zygarde can dismantle many balances. Groundceus + Ho-Oh + NDM is an exceptionally common core as it packs a lot of at least good checks to everything - so I think this team is very representative of the meta. Zygarde is just insanely good as it can very easily snowball with or without dynamax with the aid of hazards as it sets up so easily on so much.

Hey all, it seems people have been making their own version of this team already. For the sake of reference in the future, this is the original team I built for Purple's match against Skarph. Super straightforward Screens Hyper Offense with Weakness Policy Shift Gear / Calm Mind / Baton Pass Magearna as the star of the show, Deoxys-S to aid setup with Screens and Rocks, Yveltal as the primary abuser, Sash Mega Rayquaza as a bandaid and secondary wallbreaker / cleaner, Arceus-Ghost as the ESpeed switchin in case Ditto copied Mega Rayquaza, as well as an anti-Ditto measurement itself, and Xerneas as the late-game cleaner and Yveltal-imposterproof. Team's quite easy to pilot and Yveltal with boosts under its belt has no checks so its very anti-meta as well. Also, Baton Pass Smeagle sucks.

AGPL II RECAP

Hi.

WEEK 1
vs Guardsweeper

BO1 Natdex

Game 1:

:rayquaza-mega: :arceus-dark: :zacian-crowned: :arceus-ground: :necrozma-dusk-mane: :arceus-water:

I toyed around with a few concepts this week, and physical set-up spam is what I ended up going with as it was the most consistent in tests. Going in, I knew I wanted to take a more offensively-oriented approach as I expected guard to bring something that aimed to exploit balance after my series vs ice in seasonal finals. The general idea of the team is to break defensive cores down with sd groundceus, with dd ray and sd zac serving as wincons that can also function as breakers if need be. Standard dm + darkceus + waterceus serves as the defensive core, with ray & zac rking the majority of breakers that threaten it. you'll probably notice nearly all of my dms are twave, it's mainly so you aren't forced into 50/50s with dmaxing vs sd zac and also proves useful vs a bunch of offensive mons that may want to switch into dm predicting morning sun/rocks.

With regards to the actual game itself, I think I played alright; I could've killed ho-oh w/ sedge on t5, but at the time I felt like removing the defensive supportceus in the back would be more valuable, and sd also could've caught guard out if he elected to defog and prematurely assumed I was refresh ground. My main mistake was after zac revealed crunch on turn 14 and I mistakenly assumed zac was adamant, and that my zac would revenge kill it easily. I should've went for sunsteel next turn instead of getting rocks up, as it would've put zacian in range of espeed from ray and judgment from darkceus while still getting off enough damage on zekrom. Luckily didn't end up hurting me that much as I won the tie vs his zac with mine, if I had lost it I still had a shot with ray since waterceus forces enough chip on zac to put it in range, but it would probably have been in guard's favour at that point.

WEEK 2
vs Sitonai

BO3 Multigen

Game 1 (Natdex):

:rayquaza-mega: :gothitelle: :zacian-crowned: :eternatus: :necrozma-dusk-mane: :arceus-dark:

I didn't really know what to expect from hb here, so I wanted to have a good matchup vs offense while still being able to beat fatter teams; I decided scarf fog ray + 4 attacks zac + goth was to way to go, since a lot of webs team lack ways to revenge kill zacian if webs are removed, while goth traps nearly all of zac's switch-ins and is a good pick vs balance in general. spdef tern serves as a soft yve and ogre check that can switch into most supportceus safely, tspikes gave me extra insurance vs offense while dm and spdef dark round off the backbone. This team is definitely too weak to physical attackers, you could maybe get away with phys def darkceus but playing around yve then becomes a much harder tightrope to walk. It's probably a trade-off I would take now though looking back at it.

I did slip up a few times during the game, but I'm relatively satisfied with how I played. Letting darkceus get low was obviously not ideal since I had to rely on tern to stall groundceus out of pp, but there's not much I could've done about that once I'd entered the battle. On turn 40 I should've probably gone for the bblade roll instead of going tern unless my maths are wrong (50% roll at least to kill w/ bblade while chances of not getting frozen by any ice beams + not thawing for 2 turns is just under 44%), but I got away with it.

Game 2 (USUM):

:ditto: :arceus-fairy: :arceus-dark: :arceus-water: :groudon-primal: :mewtwo-mega-y:

Again, I wanted to be prepared for everything since I knew hb was adept at all playstyles. After looking at their replays from last year's agpl and seeing a lot of ho, I knew I wanted to make sure I would have a good matchup vs it, so ditto was an obvious pick. mmy was something that looked good vs the balances they built, and is a good natural partner to ditto that can switch into most cm arcs and force them out + soften common defensive cores for ditto to exploit with imposter offensive mons. the rest of the mons cover most of the weaknesses, looking back at it whirlpool fairy would probably be better to support mmy and darkceus but wisp comes in handy to deter necrozma/sd arc etc.

Not that much to say about the game, early paras were annoying but I managed to get fairly lucky vs fairyceus later on allowing cm dark to sweep. I probably could've been more proactive with mmy but it would've been pretty difficult making progress since it's realistically coming in on only 1 mon safely. Overall not unhappy with my play.

WEEK 3
vs pichus

BO3 Multigen

Game 1 (Natdex):

:ditto: :necrozma-dusk-mane: :groudon-primal: :ho-oh: :rayquaza-mega: :arceus-water:

This team started off with sub sd dtail don, something I had toyed around with in usum. It's really threatening especially vs fatter balances that lack groundceus, which is what pichus brought a lot in tests/games, and with the latter's usage decreasing over the past 2 weeks, the meta seemed more favourable for it. I knew I wanted some form of offense counterplay since I felt it was very possible that she would change things up after her previous losses, so my mind went straight to ditto again. ho-oh next is an obvious natural partner to ditto and dm as a defogging yve check, arc check, good general pivot w/ regen, et cetera. protect with whirlwind is pretty unconventional, but wasting an extra dmax turn can be crucial a lot of the time plus it also prevents mbeam tern from forcing you out. evs allow it to live a dascent from ada lo ray. don is pretty matchup reliant so I wanted another more reliable breaker; I eventually settled on mixed ray, toxic > espeed was in case I faced lugia since my ray usage was really high (I had brought it in 5 of my previous 7 natdex tour games). waterceus gave me a wincon, status absorber, general physical wall, etc. but tox ib is probably better to patch defensive holes.

I ended up calling the offense matchup right and won w/ ditto + ray. I don't think there was a way I could've lost this apart from doing something stupid like sacking ditto/don/ray and then getting outplayed by ogre/don/arc.

Game 2 (USUM):

:arceus-ground: :ferrothorn: :kyogre-primal: :arceus-dark: :gengar-mega: :magearna:

This was intended as a cteam to pichus usual stuff. I wanted to bring gear since I knew she loved using darkceus and I was pretty paranoid of bp vs the pichus since all my usual stuff would get 6-0d. rest ogre does pretty well vs a lot of her balances, wisp gar is nice partner to trap band/mixed ray, ferro, poisonceus and necro, all mons she likes using a lot. the rest of the members fill defensive roles, a lot of pressure is placed on groundceus to check marsh/ray though but alleviating that would probably require replacing gear.

She ended up bringing a screens ho, to me it looked like an old webs team she had but w/ deo > shuckle but it ended up being sub ray and I lost turn 4. If it was standard lo dd then I think I had a decent shot (depends on the arc ig), but I got outprepped hard.

Game 3 (ORAS):

:ferrothorn: :groudon-primal: :yveltal: :arceus-ground: :rayquaza-mega: :kyogre:

I have no clue what I'm doing in oras tbh, I just built a bunch of teams and eventually decided on this one before the game with the help of adf. This team started with id ferro to 1v1 sd arcs easily and just be a nuisance to offense in general, groudon provides xern check + rocks while yveltal gives a proper switchin to sd arc (and darkrai to an extent). groundceus provides defog and don/ray check, scarf uproar ray gave speed control and an additional rai/xern check. specs ogre last because I needed an actual breaker and didn't want to lose to stall, and it ended up winning this game easily w/ a 6-0 matchup. all 3 games being decided on preview made this series pretty eh tbh, happy I won though.

WEEK 4
vs Pigeons

BO3 Multigen

Game 1 (Natdex):

:arceus-fairy: :necrozma-dusk-mane: :arceus-dark: :groudon-primal: :rayquaza-mega: :zygarde-complete:

Having to play games for ladder tour + seasonal + this agpl was taking its toll on me, and I was starting to feel pretty burnt out this week so I was pretty lazy with prep. erupt don looked good vs a lot of the teams pigeons built so I wanted to build with it + dd zygarde to exploit supportceus being weakened/removed. My yve prep last week was pretty underwhelming so I wanted to be safe vs it, hence fairy + dark. I can't remember for the life of me why scarf ray was on this, anything would've been better.

I definitely could've handled this game better; I should've gotten don in more times earlier, ray being the initial switch-in to it was pretty obvious and I should've called it with sedge to limit the damage it did. I could've gone for the crit more times vs goth with fairy, while I didn't know it was darkceus at the time I still should've kept it just in case and had to end up sacking zyg, my primary wincon, to scout its set. I gave myself an opportunity later on but got the dmax turns incorrect, in hindsight I definitely should've switched to back to my own darkceus on turn x. scarf ray was useless this game, big surprise there, so my laziness alongside sloppy play ended up costing me.

Game 2 (USUM):

:zygarde-complete: :rayquaza-mega: :marshadow: :arceus-poison: :arceus-fairy: :arceus-dark:

This was just a relatively standard arcspam skarph built that I thought looked nice vs the balance pigeons likes to bring, I won't share the paste since it's not my team.

Relatively satisfied with how I played this one. Letting fairy take multiple moongeists was perhaps a bit reckless in hindsight as dd ray could've swept later on if it got the opportunity and I ended up having to risk marsh vs it later on, but I don't think I made many other big mistakes

Game 3 (ORAS):

:darkrai: :arceus-water: :arceus-steel: :diancie-mega: :skarmory: :groudon-primal:

Same thing as last week, I just built a bunch of teams around whatever I wanted to and picked one. cm id steel was something I had flirted around with previously in week 2 and that grnbln brought to week 3, but it ultimately didn't end up being revealed so I still felt like using it. skarm gave spikes, sd arc check and can tox switchins like ho-oh and don for id steel. diancie gave rai check & rocks, roar resttalk don gave xern and ogre check, additional soft rai check and abuses spikes pretty well, waterceus gave a don and extra ray check + defog, rai was because I didn't really know what else I wanted and it's the team mascot.

This game was really poor, idk why I didn't lead diancie and it nearly ended up losing me the game if it wasn't for triple first turn wake into dark void dodge with steelceus. cm + id did end up carrying me in this one and I ended up winning a 50/50 vs mcoat arc that allowed skarm to win, this was a highway robbery and I didn't deserve it at all.

WEEK 5
vs aesf

BO3 Natdex

Game 1:

:necrozma-dusk-mane: :ho-oh: :rayquaza-mega: :arceus-ground: :marshadow: :arceus-water:

I had a bunch of cteams for the sabs I had built in previous weeks that I decided to edit and choose from. lo bu marsh was something I felt looked good in the meta with the high darkceus usage, and would do well vs the random offensive arcs I knew fardin liked to use. band ray breaks fatter cores that marsh might struggle to get past, dm + ho-oh is pretty self-explanatory, evs on ho-oh allow it to live wild charge from ada zac. I have groundceus instead of the other typings I'd usually use because the sabs like using don so much, and it could catch them off guard since I had only brought it once previously (and that one was sd). I was initially wisp darkceus over waterceus to lure zacs to help marsh but decided that having another reliable wincon was more worthwhile, and felt it was likely that some other form of darkceus counterplay was coming anyways.

I got pretty hard done by with the crit on groundceus, and everything sort of fell apart afterwards; I thought I played pretty well up until that point. Perhaps I could've dynamaxed, but I didn't know if he was going to switch or not and wanted to save it in case things got out of hand later on. Going for the sneak roll should have been my play afterward but I'd still have to get nearly everything correct, so it likely wouldn't have mattered much.

Game 2:

:ditto: :necrozma-dusk-mane: :ho-oh: :arceus-ground: :eternatus: :groudon-primal:

This wasn't as much of a cteam but moreso just something I felt was solid in most matchups. The support spdef tern provides to these kinds of ditto teams is extremely useful, as tspikes give it the ability to win drawn-out games much more easily and being able to pressure-stall moves is just really nice, especially in conjunction with ditto and ho-oh. Once more, I was originally darkceus on this but felt too don weak so I changed it to groundceus; earth power waterceus can be used if you want to check erupt don better. erupt rest don is the team's sole breaker that takes advantage of tspikes reasonably well and prevents ogre/waterceus from spamming water moves, but it's also replaceable for smth like ray.

sd groundceus is really scary for this team and it showed in this game. Removing the ground immunity in ray early proved vital as I was able to kill off 3 mons with impostered groundceus, which prevented me from sitting around just waiting to lose. I had to bank on a sedge miss into burning groundceus in the end, but aesf went for the last mon cm poison route instead and I had to play out of my ass and give myself as many opportunities for a crit as possible. I did eventually get it, which was pretty lucky but made up for game 1 I guess.

Game 3:

:arceus: :necrozma-dusk-mane: :arceus-dark: :zacian-crowned: :rayquaza-mega: :arceus-ground:

I don't really know how but I ended up bringing the wrong team. I'm still pretty upset at myself for making such a stupid and silly mistake but there's nothing I can do to change the past, so I'll talk about the team I intended to bring instead. coil dtail zyg + tern seemed cool because of fardin's tendency to stray away from traditional refresh arcs, and also formed a nice defensive backbone for the team. defensive zyg opened up the door for me to use cm waterceus without fear of don, and tect zac last gave a reliable revenge killer that exploits a lot of the sab's teams that rely on ditto + don as zac counterplay.

This game was pretty hard on preview already, and getting the early turns wrong dug me into a really deep hole. I also kind of messed up the endgame; I expected him to stay in with zac since necro + water was all he needed in my opinion, but I had to go off him misplaying in order to have a chance to win and should've sd'd.

Shoutouts to everyone on the Darkrais; this season was a blast, and I really enjoyed teaming & talking with all of you. While it was disappointing to go out in such a fashion, I still think we all did a good job overall and can be proud of our efforts. Good luck to the remaining teams and thanks for reading (if you did)!

Heyo I just won a natdex AG livetour thingymabob so I thought I'd just dump the teams I used there quick a minute.

R1 vs ikiq
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldexag-514832
https://pokepast.es/c9f25d3120fb67db

I built this team shortly after Frogger asked me for some teams earlier today. This build was kinda fun because mluc breaks a lot of really common balance cores and beats up on Ho-Oh. It's a pretty fun team and I had a good mu vs some rly bad HO lol.

R2 vs TFCP
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldexag-514840
https://pokepast.es/7a14eb96f255bd6d

I built this team for my round 1 ssnl match vs pigeons, but I had a terrible mu and lost. In this game, however, I was able to stall for a while and use MMY to break apart his defensive core. This team is pretty fun, but its matchup vs bulkier teams can be a bit nasty.

Finals vs AGL
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldexag-514843
https://pokepast.es/bd37f0df3c416a33

I also built this team for my match vs pigeons, but never got to use it. I figured MSab would give me a good mu here since agl had been using webs in his first 2 rounds, but he didn't bring webs, so I managed to eke out a win anyway. This build is shaky against bulky teams, relying on Swords Dance Zacian-C with TSpikes support to break through teams, but it did pretty well here.

Finals vs Ainzcrad
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldexag-514845
https://pokepast.es/f290c166cb48f6fc

This team was also built for my match against Pigeons. It did pretty well here, thanks to some careful plays around ditto, and once Ho-Oh went down, PerishPool Darkceus was able to completely maul his team for the win. This team was more of a bulky offense build, and it worked pretty well. s/o pichus for helping me with it a bunch.

1598823406105.png1598823402166.png:Lugia::Necrozma-Dusk-Mane::Chansey::Zacian-Crowned:

This is kind of a mini RMT I guess, because I don't feel like writing an actual one. This team was built primarily to kill ladder players. Lugia has a standard Substitute + Toxic set as my main Zygarde counterplay, while allowing me to rack up a ton of chip damage via Rocks + Toxic. I originally had Seismic Toss on Chansey, but I later opted for Wish, as I later added Substitute Zacian-C which really shines with Wish Support, and by this point I felt my counterplay vs Taunt Yveltal was really good. Additionally, for Substitute Xerneas and Calm Mind Arceus Formes such as Ghostceus and Darkceus, I can conserve my Confides if need be by just going into Chansey and Wishing into Zacian-C. Wish also allows me to make really easy plays on predicted switchins, for example I can click it safely if I expect Zacian-C to come in, and now I get NDM in for free in order to chip Zacian down with Rocky Helmet and set Rocks up. As a defogger, I knew I needed a mon which would be able to handle NDM, but more importantly Primal Groudon, as its insanely common on the BO kinda builds ladder players wield, so I chose Arceus-Ground. Toxic over Ice Beam is chosen here, as I feel my MRay counterplay in Lugia + NDM is quite strong. I have 307 speed on both my Arceus formes, as this lets me deal with Fast Eruption Primal Groudon more easily. Necrozma-Dusk-Mane came next, this was a given, I needed a Zacian-Crowned check and Stealth Rocks for my Lugia to really shine. I rounded off the team with PerishTrap Darkceus, in order for a Yveltal check as Chansey on its own isn't good enough and to allow me to break stall, and Zacian-C- which is pretty much my anti-cheese mon as with Substitute it beats almost every lead. It's also my speed control and it also stops my team from being insanely passive.

Older Versions:
https://pokepast.es/9c12eca517fc6bf5 -> Specs Kyogre variant. I really enjoy using Cleric Support Chansey + Kyogre, it really maximises the amount of times you can get Kyogre in to just delete something, and stops you from worrying about rocks/tox chip.
https://pokepast.es/f407b388f79a3f10 -> Swords Dance Zacian-C. If I were to bring this to a tour game this is the variant I'd bring to stop my team from being passive.
I used to also have Dark Pulse and Earth Power on my Arceus because I thought Judgment's power was changed with Dynamax.
Weaknesses:
:Gengar-Mega:: Traps Chansey and Lugia for free (unless it switches into Whirlwind when Rocks are up), and proceeds to setup. Once setup, I lose one of those two mons and have to Dynamax my Arceus-Dark in order to beat it - an awful position.
:Gothitelle:: Traps Chansey, Lugia and NDM for free.
:Groudon-Primal:: Mixed Eruption safely comes into Chansey and NDM (given I didn't Toxic it on the switch). Chansey can Wish into Groundceus, but I take around 50% on my Chansey, so this move isn't possible if they still have Kyogre or Xerneas left. If it comes in on NDM, then Arceus-Ground will take a huge amount of damage.
:Eternatus:: Support T-Spikes is insanely annoying for this team
:Ho-Oh:: Quite a nuissance as it spreads status on my team quite easily, and my methods of dealing with it are limited to Arceus-Dark and Zacian-C.
:Ferrothorn:: Beats my fogger

Hello everyone! The Bomb here. I just thought of dumping some teams because I think they are pretty cool.

A bulky offense team around Arceus-Water and Arceus-Poison and also since Arceus-Poison doesn't get much attention due to the pink blob. It has the potential to reverse sweep / pressure other CM Arceus formes. As you can see in the replay, Arceus-Poison helped me at the endgame when my Ho-Oh was out and opponent's 2nd last Pokemon was Arceus-Dark.

Standard MMY balance. You could perhaps run 112 EVs on SpD for countering Xerneas singlehandedly since it gives the team a little trouble. I don't have much to say about this team. The idea seems pretty basic. Mega-Mewtwo Y slaps balance cores, stall etc. While the other half of the team is made for walling potential sweepers like Yveltal, Mega-Rayquaza etc.

A team I specifically made for Icemaster, and not worrying much about ditto in the game preview. Thunder Wave Deoxys-S is pretty good for crippling alot of things. Facing ditto is a problem but it doesn't win though, thanks to screens. A well played Ditto however could finish things. The team you're looking at is mostly a counter-team for balances and my primary reason for running it was nothing more than this very calc:

+2 252+ Atk Arceus-Ground Max Hailstorm vs. 252 HP / 208+ Def Zygarde-Complete: 648-764 (101.8 - 120.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
