Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 204 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Focus Punch
- Thunder Punch
- Ice Punch
- Play Rough
Specs pult in particular can struggle vs the likes of ttar and weavile, but a u-turn into 4a mawile can often result in a free kill, as the dark types are terrified of it. Furthermore, mawile helps break holes in general against defensive teams in order for shadow ball to clean late-game
listen, i know this isn't the primary pult set but i couldn't find partners for the dd set so i will pretend this is the set.

Dragapult (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Clear Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- U-turn
here is the partner i am gonna choose

Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Return
this core is like kyulop just replace kyurem with pult, in this core there is type synergy and also attacking synergy (both use different attacking sides which means that there is almost if not nothing that could wall both mons), mega lopunny could kill bliss and chansey, weavile so it can't kill pult with ishard, tran, ttar and its mega and mega sab, in return pult could kill chomp and ferro so mega lop won't get any rocky helmet + rough skin/iron barbs chip, defensive lando-t, corv, chipped zapdos, bro and glisc, a partner with this core could be scarf kartana as its the fastest viable scarferdon't you dare and say that scarf serp is goodso it could kill slower scarfers who might threaten this core, kartana also could kill/chip fairies for the core as mons such as clefable and fini are annoying to this core, also pult and mega lop could kill kartana's checks so scarf kartana could use beast boost for good use and be a late game sweeper.
Kartana @ Choice Scarf
Level: 100
Jolly Nature
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Knock Off
- Sacred Sword
Imo this is a good Mega Latios Partner.
Mega Latios fears Dark Types, Steel types, Fairy types and Special Walls, which Kartana can hit with its wide coverage.
If you don't like Scarf, then Choice Band, Swords dance 3 attacks, or Maybe Life Orb or Adrenaline Orb Still works perfectly to cover Latios.
Magnezone @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Fire
- Flash Cannon
- Volt Switch
Magnezone has proven to be an excellent addition to Mega Latias/Latios teams in my experience. Unfortunately, the Latitwins aren't able to handle every Steel-type with one specific moveset so Magnezone aids in checking some of the common ones like Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, Corviknight, Skarmory, and Celesteela. Magnezone's defensive stats are actually pretty decent allowing it to switch into attacks forwarded at Latias.

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Roost
- Spikes
I don't think I need to sell the idea of Skarm + Mega Tias to anyone, but it still deserves to be at least mentioned as one of Megas Tias' best partners on fat. It does what you expect it to do: sets up spikes to wear down the opposing team so it eases Mega Tias' sweep, and checks Mega Maw, Mega Lopu and Vile. The core is extremely weak to mons like Ash, Koko and Heatran which can easily force progress between these two, but fat builds should be able to patch up those MUs through mons like Gastro, Clef, Gliscor, Chansey, Fini and Pex.
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 SpD
IVs: 0 Spe
Relaxed Nature
- Bulk Up
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Substitute/Taunt/U-turn
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 200 SpD / 56 Spe
Bold Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
- Defog
Rotom-Wash and Corviknight essentially check each other's weaknesses. Rotom-W covers Fire- and Electric-types for Corviknight such as Tapu Koko, Magnezone, and Heatran and Corviknight checks Grass-types like Rillaboom, Tangrowth, and Amoonguss and Mold Breaker Pokemon with access to Earthquake such as Excadrill. The make an exceptional defensive core with Rotom-Wash's flexible stats and Corviknight's ability to wall many physical attackers.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Level: 100
Calm Nature
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 168 SpD / 88 Spe
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Thunder Wave
- Pain Split
Scizor-Mega
Level: 100
Adamant Nature
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- Roost
- U-turn
- Swords Dance
I love volt turn support
+ rotom helps weaken the scizor's check down and scizor helps weaken rotom's check down
surprised theres no subs for this one yet when to me tini usage has skyrocketed as of recently.
War & Famine (Kyurem) @ Never-Melt Ice
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Freeze-Dry
- Roost
Peace & Love (Victini) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 80 HP / 148 SpA / 28 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Blue Flare
- Thunder
- U-turn
- Encore
I'd say the core is self explanatory from just looking at it. Kyurem appreciates Victini's ability to switch into Lele, Mega Medi and Yard which all threaten to revenge it; serve as a a soft check to Clef, Corv, Mega Zor and Ferro which can be pivoted around with minimum prediction; bait in the slower grounds and bulky waters that switch into Victini like Lando, Gliscor, Pex and Fini while bringing it in safely via u-turn; and lastly, with encore, Victini can cripple CM Clef, CM Mega Tias and Reuni which can otherwise attempt to set up on non-specs variants, and in this set's case, Kyurem lacking ice beam. Kyurem on the other hand, just simply destroys the bulky waters and grounds that annoy Victini.
just finished writting this and i noticed it ended up being more about why tini is a good partenr for kyu but eh, w/evs i just rlly wanted to post smth this time so yh. have a good day tho!
Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Weather Ball
- Focus Blast
- Solar Beam
- Roost/Dragon Pulse
Victini @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- Trick
M-zard-y is an excellent partner for Victini, zard provides the sun and breaks walls Victini can’t break, Victini is a great Pivot that turns into a monster in sun. They form a devastating firespam core, which overwhelms their shared checks.
Victini mostly struggles to OHKO offensive mons and break defensive mons.
But sun lets it do that:
-1 252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 252 HP / 164+ Def Landorus-Therian in Sun: 205-243 (53.6 - 63.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery), vs Glisc
(252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 244 HP / 52 Def Gliscor in Sun: 291-343 (82.6 - 97.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal), vs clef
(252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 252 HP / 200 Def Clefable in Sun: 373-441 (94.6 - 111.9%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO), vs M-Diancie
(252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega in Sun: 189-222 (78.4 - 92.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO), vs Rotom-W
(252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Rotom-Wash in Sun: 174-204 (57.2 - 67.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery) ,vs bliss for zard
(252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Blissey in Sun: 666-784 (93.2 - 109.8%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO).
That are just some of the amazing calcs, but let's look how zard helps Victini directly:
(252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Slowbro: 364-430 (92.3 - 109.1%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO) , vs Tyranitar
(252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Focus Blast vs. 132 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar-Mega in Sand: 348-412 (93 - 110.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock), vs gastro
(252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 496-588 (116.4 - 138%) -- guaranteed OHKO), vs tork
(252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Weather Ball (100 BP Fire) vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Torkoal in Sun: 189-222 (55.1 - 64.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO), vs Dragons
(252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 248-292 (59 - 69.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO)
(252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Dragon Pulse vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 107-127 (33.1 - 39.3%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO).
I already discussed in this thread (https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...lure-week-36-latios-mega.3685609/post-9154925) how M-zard-y can lure and kill Dragon’s with Dragon Pulse. I think it fits very well with Victini. But you can use Roost if it's better for your team.
This core is very weak to (bulky!) water and ground Types, Kommo-o and especially Stealth Rocks.
Landours is a very good Partner because it provides hazard control and wall Belly Drum Kommo-o.
A trapper Fini can remove pex and other bulky water/ground types, while also walling Z-Kommo-o.
The team should always be balance or if possible bulky offense.
This hopefully not to late...
Have fun!
