Since playoffs are on the horizon, NDPL V Set & Team Dump is here to serve as an opportunity to post whatever anyone has used or considered to use so far! It's pretty self explanatory, post teams you used or built in NDPL V here!

Guidelines
  • This is for teams used in, or considered for use, in NDPL V ONLY.
  • Teams from any of the metagames featured in NDPL V can be posted.
  • A Pokepaste would be preferred in terms of formatting. Sprites would also be a helpful addition.
  • Descriptions/stories about the teams are allowed (encouraged, even) but consider using a spoiler tag if they end up being very long.
  • These teams may be considered to be used as Sample Teams so no need to post in the bazaar as well.
And that's it! Happy posting, and good luck to the teams in the playoffs!

got 3 teams I want to share, 2 of them were used in the tour (with some edits) and the other was another team I planned to use in the week where I played oculars. These are sample submissions!

:iron valiant: :Diancie-mega: :iron crown: :dragonite: :great tusk: :kyurem:
Passed this 6 to Omar for the week 4 game against avarice. It was originally a NDFL team I built but I passed it because Omar felt that it was going to be an “ho slopfest” (which it was!) and I gave him a team that was supposed to be anti ho with all the booster mons and speed boosting setup sweepers that could bowl over ho easily. He made some edits to the team (which I put some here) and it worked exactly as planned. Encore ival is a cool piece to make mus like dragonite and kyurem easier while also providing knock off, allowing diancie’s rocks to sting more. Besides that, it’s pretty standard ho stuff. Tera blast electric kyurem is quite absurd since it exploits almost everything in the tier pretty easily and ravages almost every defensive core not consisting of a a mega scizor. Great tusk and mdia provide hazard control so the main wincons (dragonite and kyurem) can win the game. Overall I would highly recommend this team as it is very consistent in most matchups at the moment.

:Charizard-mega-y: :raging bolt: :heatran: :Meowscarada: :great tusk: :Alomomola:
This team was what I used against Separation… sort of. For those who watched the game I was kind of a dumbass and used scarf fog Lando as hazard control and I won’t lie that was a very stupid decision on my end. I edited the team immediately after the game and I think this is a solid yard squad. I built this after Omar’s suggestion of loading yard after seeing rain / BO. Heatran is cool because it checks Volcarona while setting rocks and helping immensely vs. raging bolt / Tapu lele / iron valiant especially with Tera fairy. Mola keeps the team together, helping to heal up rbolt, yard, and tusk so then they aren’t worn down as quickly and can do their jobs throughout a game easier. It also is a check to Urshifu which is nice. Lagging tail is also an option on mola over boots to make pivoting against ferro and gking less of a chore, and it’s probably the better option here ngl. Meow is cool on yard teams imo because it slams stuff like gking and garg and pivots in rbolt / yard so then they can start breaking through things like pex and ferro. On this team it’s scarf for the consistent speed control and is annoying to offense teams. This team is solid if you want to use some weather, but it’s not a top tier team or anything.

:raging bolt: :landorus-Therian: :iron moth: :Scizor-mega: :weavile: :ogerpon-wellspring:
This was another NDFL team I planned and edited to use vs. oculars, but I ended up not doing so because the team I was passed felt a little more consistent. This team is not bad though; it’s just a standard offense so it’s nothing special. Weavile ogerpon is a cool core, with weavile taking advantage of gking, dragonite, mlatis, Tera dragons, and so on. This was the beginning of my mega scizor and pivot raging bolt addiction because both just do so much in the meta atm. Pivot rbolt is really nice especially with weavile and iron moth, giving them chances to break vs. gking and Ferrothorn. In return it also helps check threaten Urshifu and Toxapex while keeping up momentum, so there’s that. Rbolt could potentially be roar to ease the Volcarona mu. Piloting this team is kind of difficult at times but if you can position correctly against certain threats it works well.

I did not deserve to be the 2nd pick of the tour and at a 5K price in the end, however I enjoyed building this tour and it was a fun experience to help out. Our season wasn’t the greatest but it still had chill vibes in the cord and such. Shoutouts to Runo and A fairy for drafting me when there were clearly better choices, that faith gave me more confidence and that’s a good thing. Shoutouts to artymasion as well for letting me help him out as well, I can’t count how many ideas and cool teams we formed and games we tested lol. Hopefully next year I’ll come back better.

If any of the NDRU people want to use these as samples or etc. go ahead it would make me happy! Click on the mons for the pastes!

Week 1
Slither Volt Turn
:slowking: :gligar: :tyranitar: :Aggron-mega: :zeraora: :slither wing:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexru-789632

Week 1 I just wanted to use something standard but offensive enough for me to not have to really outplay too much since I didn't really have a very fluid grasp on the tier so far. In testing Luna kept thrashing me with band TTar (if it didn't rise I would've advocated for a suspect) so I just added that to this team that was basically already done. The team itself is pretty self-explanatory but pretty immediately into the tour we realized that Slither Wing was one of if not the top dog of the tier. Admittedly a miss helped me quite a lot this game so I don't feel too great about the win.

Week 2
Okidogi Knock Spam
:mandibuzz: :okidogi: :tapu bulu: :tinkaton: :gastrodon: :cyclizar:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexru-790977

I don't remember my thought process too well this week, except that I really really liked Sub Bulu into the general meta and also my opponents usage (if he really had much of it since there was only 1 Week, might've scouted his managers idk). The Knock spam ensured that I could passively chip things via getting rid of Leftovers and such so that Bulu didn't have a hard time winning, and Spikestack also helped with that. My opponent brought Ogerpon and I knew that as long as I could safely get a Bulu + Ogerpon 1v1 then I could sub and break a hole. I do think I played quite well this game and it felt really good compared to the week before.

Week 3
OTR Coffin HO
:sandy shocks: :latias: :togekiss: :diggersby: :doublade: :cofagrigus:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexru-792254?p2

I remember Dlanyer's scout being pretty wacky so I wanted to out crack the crack if you get what I'm saying. He ended up just bringing an SSUU team LMAO and this was also my first loss. I think it came down to a 50/50 in the end between him CCing or Volting on my Doublade swap so I couldn't be too upset about it. Coffin put in the work it needed and Diggersby is incredibly hard to switch into honestly only Sinistcha really walls it. I also think Doublade is really good because of Eviolite + typing but it's kind of an offense merchant most likely. I don't regret bringing this at all I think the prep worked considering it came down to a coinflip essentially. Probably my favorite team that I made this tour.

Week 4
Bramble Tailwind
:brambleghast: :aerodactyl: :crawdaunt: :tornadus: :nidoking: :arcanine-hisui:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexru-793248

I remember Feen's scout being the most standard slop ever and those are usually the people I bring HO against because its a free win. I wanted to use Crawdaunt because it just looked really good but I didn't like its speed tier + this is when Mimikyu was snorting Brambleghast crack so I got inspired. I just slapped a bunch of mid speed breakers on here and called it a day honestly I don't have much to say about the game except that I actually choked this and should've lost but Feen choked harder (if you see this sorry!!) so I didn't feel good about the win.

Weeks 5-7 I built a lot but ended up defaulting to Luna teams

Week 5
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexru-795814
I used a team Luna made against TNunes because I started to get burned out, loaded into Hail which I was also considering using this week which was funny but I got owned pretty convincingly.

Week 6
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexru-796990
I used yet another team Luna made!! Wowzers. But vs Leni I just wanted to HO again since he similarly to Feen, had a very standard slop builder. i got a essentially game winning flinch but it cancelled out because I wouldn't have needed it if I had hit Hurricane. Fun fact: I missed all Hurricanes this tournament!

Week 7
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexru-799801
I noticed that Micaiah had 100% Maggron usage and the first thing I said in chat was that I wanted to somehow take advantage of it and Luna gave me a fucking Torterra and kept wanting me to load it so I did. Won gg

Misc. stuff I built that wasn't used or super tested (so they're bad teams):
Hex Bascu Status Spam - https://pokepast.es/287be29d03918697
DRAMPA (has great stab combo and access to good coverage) - https://pokepast.es/00e37c6f50fd67a3
Ampharos - https://pokepast.es/3224f76353cd84ce (the old version I had of this team was better but idr what it was)

rapid fire shoutouts:
LBN - Thank you for being such a backbone of the team despite your record and me trolling you. I would've sucked without all your test games, you were fun to be around and matched my energy/banter which I appreciated, hope to team again, lets win HPL brother
Isza - I got trolled for the 40k but you were worth it, I didn't need to prep 2 whole tiers and you went positive, thank you! Always a pleasure to talk to you and I hope we can team again and you're a good friend
shieldpoke - You've become one of my closest friends on Smogon nowadays and I know you don't really play unless I bug you to but you delivered this tour and I hope you are happy with your performance even though I don't think it was up to your own standards, thank you for handling this slot.
adem + R8 - Thank you for handling Ubers bc that shit was ugly LOL, and also Adem thank you for managing with me, I had fun

Very happy with my record, not very often that I self buy because my confidence in playing is low but this tour was fun. GGs!

Hello again, my name is Isza better known as Kaiser/Shali. If you're unfamiliar with me, I'm a tournament player who has enjoyed NDOU for the last 3 years. I decided to go to auction in ndpl again and went for.. 40k which was really OD. With Smogon Classic+ irl stuff my activity was really low this tour and I didnt build much. I don't really believe in building during regular season unless nessesary, however I managed to carry our ss starters to a combined 10-3 record regardless. These are all sample submissions and for the sake of quality, only showing teams that have been used this tournament. (wins and losses) You can find all my previous team dumps below:

:porygon-z: :heatran: :tapu koko: :Landorus-therian: :Urshifu-Rapid-Strike: :Scizor-Mega:
https://pokepast.es/8a275d450a069923
No Prep here was nessesary, I just wanted to use Porygon this week with all the fat people were using. After a nasty plot, this is the best breaker in the tier and the only thing holding it back is its speed.
+2 252 SpA Adaptability Porygon-Z Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 568-670 (80.7 - 95.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 252 SpA Adaptability Porygon-Z Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 290-342 (82.3 - 97.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252 SpA Adaptability Porygon-Z Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 236+ SpD Heatran: 313-369 (81 - 95.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Hidden power ground hits heatran, aegislash, and ttar while HP fire hits ferrothorn and scizor up to you. Core is rounded out with some pivot mons to help get it in easier. Lost to a timely burn, although I could have sequenced better earlier to avoid that.

:Melmetal: :Diancie: :rotom-wash: :tapu-lele: :kartana: :Landorus-therian:
https://pokepast.es/85990cf6c554cdea
Tene was itching to use offense and I eventually had to give him what he wanted. I always thought lele was super good although I dislike using psychics in the tier due to weavile. I grew out of that and came up with this. Tapu lele breaks through most fat structures and diancie clears most offensive builds. I believe HP ice should be standard now for gliscor/Lando, especially if you had pex answers on your team. AV mel helps against lele/kyurem, and kart is speed control to help clean up. Lando and rotom are my defensive back bones giving me hazards and removal.

:pelipper: :swampert-mega: :zapdos: :greninja-ash: :ferrothorn: :kartana:
A blast from the past https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldex-726839 (you are one of the best ss players and are missed btw) it was only a year ago sage took down the undefeated chris in semis. Concept is simple, Kartana deals with everything rain struggles with offensively (rotom, gastrodon, kyurem, ect) and in general is just the best breaker in the tier. Got lucky with a miss at the end although it was a roll so I cant determinethe end result.

Another blast from the past https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldex-756625 I'll admit this isn't mine, I ripped this from mario and shelfed it for a year. I like the concept becauseit super farms fat and is generally good into most offensive builds. (rotom+Medi is kinda OD otherwise its chill) Tene and Erza edited it though to have Z drill and 3 atks zap which tbh was better here. With future sight and the boys we were able to break through the bulky offense kcda brought, although we had some blunders. Slowking staying in vs aegislash and corv staying in vs lati could have cost us the game.

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldex-800613

:Charizard-Mega-Y: :heatran: :blaziken: :weavile: :Landorus-therian: :tapu-fini:
https://pokepast.es/cb5c48366ee72eec
This team was a little ambitious I'll admit. I built 2 teams this week and gave tene the other, with nothing prepped I decided to use this. The fire spams objective was to pressure the fire resists (KDCA Usually only had rotom as one) and win with the others. The team isn't meant for long games and is geared more towards the rotom offenses. My match up was tough however, I had to prioritize breaking w weavile and heatran especially vs gliscor/Kart over trying to break through Chansey so early. Zard x was a nice pick from them, good mon

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldex-799961

Shout outs to Tenebricite who was an amazing pilot, you delivered and im happy you were able to have such a good record. I also like to give credit where it's due, so shout outs to kDCA and yonmd for putting up good numbers, bringing some cool teams, and definitely pushing meta development a bit. It's nice to see fresh SS concepts over bringing the same boring stuff, so well done both.

On another note, this is my last time contributing competitively to nat dex for awhile, not sure if I'll give up the east boys. Despite bringing in new players from other communities, contributing to invitational, and generally trying to be helpful to all, I cant shake the feeling due to many interactions that I'm not welcome. (Especially when I'm minding my own business) It would be better to step away, although no hard feelings to anyone. If you ever need anything, or want to get into OU feel free to ask. I think alot of you have potential especially if you try and are willing to improve thats all it takes tbh.

Most importantly, thanks for having me

Was figuring due to the lack of visible support on the Starmies, Seasons was gonna load up a oras centric squad with shit like Tyranitar, Keldeo, Clefable, etc. Thought a strong sand balance would work here. If Seasons loaded Tyranitar then Buzzwole would secure the MU easily and punish Clefable and Slowbro switch ins with Poison Jab and Toxic respectively. Love BandTar so much but R1C3M4N inspired me to use Offrock Tyranitar instead for the extra flexibility which was useful against Iron Moth and Galarian Moltres. Excadrill I felt was mandatory for Speed control when pairing with Tyranitar since they just synergize too well, although I used it hella poorly that game. Celesteela was good here to fuck with Clefable. Was debating between Flamethrower and Air Slash that week but ultimately decided on Air Slash to punish Mega Venusaur in combo with Sand, Gastro was loaded purely as an Anti-Washtom tech although it never showed up. The spikes support it provided was incredible valuable thoough since sticky hold let it sit on Clefable indefinitely. Mega Latias was always gonna be the way to close out the game with this comp since nothing else could break Season's defensive core. It was originally there to shore up the matchup against all of the possible Keldeo sets and provided an out versus Mega Venusaur. My UU I think was commenting on the fact that this team had zero pivot moves, but just play better lol idk.

The Victinis had some insane UU support so literally anything could've been loaded on this slot and it would've been dangerous to me and vice versa. Wanna say they were overprepping for insanely fat comps with Slowbro + Mega Heracross however. Over on the Unmons side of things, we were only really expecting like Aegislash centric comps. This was probably like the most rigorus testing our UU slot did for PL but we ended up centering the team aroung NP + Taunt Zoroark-H to troll Aegislash. Specs Air Slash Keldeo served as a nice support to maul the Mvenu cores that TBIC and Danbear used a lot. Aegislash was nice to accrue damage on Ting-Lu and friends while still being bulky enough to withstand Mienshao and Iron Boulder, loaded Flash Cannon to troll Clefable. Ting-Lu felt needed as a strong Knock absorber and Zeraora check for the comp and again I loaded Heavy Slam to troll Clefable. Washtom was pretty standard and important for Illusion and Mega Aero stuff. Speed is for...either Bisharp or BandTar I don't remember. Mega Aerodactyl let me run standard Washtom instead of needing to compress with Choice Scarf. Also annoys the shit out of Mega Venusaur and Iron Moth fans.

Other teams I used during tests and shit - https://pokepast.es/befecf3baa3bda0a

Closing thoughts on the metagame: Sand is just as good as it was in the Mega TTar metagame and should be respected more if you haven't been already. Hyper Offense comps that overwhelm Ting-Lu to win the game immediately are broken as shit. Greninja and Galarian Moltres need to leave the metagame asap. Mega Venusaur is also probably too constraining of a force but I won't elaborate on that since I don't really care if it stays or not. R1C3M4N you are the true NDUU Legend, 3k purchase into undefeated UU slot is absurd bro, please humble this thread with your teams man.

RU
The RU Slot for the Unmons had a lot more circus-vibes despite having like 5 RU supports myself included. Couldn't claw out a single fuckin win this whole tour lmao. Don't really wanna go over the experience but the two below teams were cracked but we lost those games due to chokes.

Closing thoughts despite the rough season: This tier is insanely fun and nearly perfect in my eyes. Basculegion-F, Latias, and Slither Wing could all go or all stay and I would enjoy it regardless. You guys need to load more stall in this tier tho that shit is cracked afff.

I will make a shoutout post in the commencement thread when I have time after school tommorow, glad to have been able to manage this tour with you a fairy.

i built the ubers teams for us, proud of what shieldpoke has done w them and it has been a crazy fun experience teaming w him and r8

w1 vs Eledyr (W)

:zygarde: :arceus-dark: :ho-oh: :giratina-origin: :zacian-crowned: :groudon-primal:

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexubers-789949

This week we were prepping with not only Eledyr but also Runo, Bumbo, and Sami in mind since we knew they all possibly had input on the team. We assumed they would prep for some HO in this slot considering shieldpoke’s inexperience or something like Sub DD Zyg since they are all quite high on it. Overall I wanted to go with something relatively standard here. Nothing really special here, but offensive Ho-oh is not something I use much but was a fun bring in tests, so.

w2 vs Fogbound (W)

:groudon-primal: :ho-oh: :eternatus: :calyrex-ice: :kyogre-primal: :zacian-crowned:

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexubers-790927

Fogbound loaded a sample w1 and I know he always loads absolutely random shit and somehow wins so, not much to go off prep. We assumed Kate was also helping prep but she doesnt have much of a scout either so we decided to just go with the comfy pick. Shieldpoke wanted to use OTR Z Caly, and I spent ages trying to build that but just had a major block, so we settled on Band Caly. Herb Etern felt like a nice pairing with it and the rest are relatively standard. This is an Arc-less team so I felt a bit weird about it but it looked cool and it worked out in the end (even if Caly didnt come out lol).

w3 vs emoxu9 (L)

:smeargle: :arceus: :eternatus: :kyogre-primal: :groudon-primal: :yveltal:

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexubers-791887

This week was a headache to prep because emoxu seems to have a good grasp on almost everything and plays whatever looks good in that week, so honestly we didnt have a set idea on what to use / prep for. They loaded Trick Room in the first week, and loaded it a few times in the open, so we kept that in mind, but felt that Webs would do best into the HO/Offenses they have loaded thus far, alongside Trick Room on our own Smeargle to beat their Trick Room lol. Unfortunately we kinda got owned by TBlast Ground Zacian, and I didnt properly think of that. Not too upset at this weeks loss, was definitely one of the hardest to prep for, and based on their record so far they have been owning the tour so meh. If you guys plan to use this, I would probably make Smeargle Rapid Spin > Mortal Spin, and then I think its fine-ish. Opposing Webs with TBlast Zac was probably the worst matchup we coulda asked for, but thats how the game goes.

w4 vs Entro (L)

:eternatus: :groudon-primal: :zacian-crowned: :alomomola: :yveltal: :arceus-ground:

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexubers-793164

This was a fun week to prep, and probably one of my favourite teams I built. This week really started me on my Eternatus is broken arc, and im ngl that mon is amazing. Anyways, based on my scout of him from PL and the open, he did not use Etern much (like 1 bring in his entire scout lolz), and loaded overall very TSpike weak teams, so Etern was the start. Drag Z TSpikesEtern was the initial idea, since it hella clicked into a lot of BOs while also not being useless vs opposing Eternatus HO if he brought that. He didnt bring much Ho-oh at all (1 bring too if i remember correctly) so we felt that could work. We initially went a Marsh direction but team wanted a Steel, and eventually got to this version of the team but with some slightly different sets, but felt that Tera Fairy Zyg was mad annoying, until I got to this genius revelation:
View attachment 680142
and I'm ngl this completely changed my worldview on Etern and building in this tier, and was definitely one of the best moments building in this tier. We also went for Mental Herb Alo which was for all Taunt Arc forms, especially like EKiller and Arc Ground. Yvel Tera type was mainly for Arc Ground since we were a tad bit weak to it if Alo is chipped or if its like Sub or whatnot. Very fun team, not the *easiest* to use but I love it. The team lost in the end although it was due to a choke, but honestly I'm just happy I came up with this.

w5 vs Skyiew (W)

:zygarde: :marshadow: :ho-oh: :groudon-primal: :Arceus-Fairy: :eternatus:

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexubers-796043

This was an interesting week to prep for, Bob is known for a lot of fatter structures, but Sky has been playing last few weeks and has loaded a lot of offense-y stuff, with like 2 MMY usages so we focused more on that. We haven't loaded Marshadow at all so we decided this was finally the week! We just basically stacked up all the broken shit and got a team together, and tested it and did decent! (https://pokepast.es/dd630174e1c709b5 first version) However last minute after some testing we felt the team we felt that getting rid of TSpikes was annoying with Balloon and we didn't really have much CPlay into grounds since Zyg was DD, and Ho-oh needed to tera to properly deal with them so we decided to shift to Drag Z Etern since that went crazy last week and Defensive Zyg C, which paid off in the end! Another fun team this week, liked this squad a lot. If your worried about DD Zyg C (or just Zyg C in general), then you can go Tera Fairy on Zyg C and Tera Water on Arc Fairy. Both versions are fine, its preference.

w6 vs zuzhouwawa (L)

:eternatus: :yveltal: :groudon-primal: :ho-oh: :kyogre-primal: :arceus-fairy:

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexubers-797956

Okay so going into this week I was SICK AS FUCKKKKKK and genuinely could not think when prepping. Fortunately and unfortunately zuzhou has been using emoxu teams in the past, which are random as fuck but that means prep also means nothing, so we decided to just go with the comfy pick here. Shieldpoke has been raving about offensive Yvel since like week 2 so I decided to whip up something quick with it and he loved it. Tera Flying Yvel is not something I use often, or even offensive Yvel honestly but I really Fw this team. Unfortunately Shieldpoke got bamboozled by special UNec and it cooked us, but was a close match and Yvel woulda put in tremendous work in another universe in this matchup. Otherwise standardish stuff, TSpikes + LO Yvel is broken, feel free to mess around with Etern item and Teras, but I hella Fw this structure.

w7 vs skimmy (DG)

:groudon-primal: :ho-oh: :kyogre-Primal: :eternatus: :zygarde: :arceus-ground:

Im ngl during prep this week we danced around with a ton of structures. Skimmy has been loading ho literally every single week, with 100% Zacian and PDon usage, and near 100% LO Yvel usage. After going through a bunch of structures, I thought of this Fire Z Etern jank build which lured NDM and Zacian. We felt that + Deoxys A would be really cool, and Sub on Deo A to further ease the matchup against LO Yveltal, which ended up with this build: https://pokepast.es/c8a6d7fe566ad647 This build also featured the powerful no roost defensive Yveltal suggested by R8, which seems schizo but i can understand it on the same premise as the Etern in entros week. We stuck with it until around the weekend, where after 3 HOURS of test games we realised this was actually some hot ass, and really inconsistent and relied on perfect play to win. So going through my builder, I came across this old R8 team which looked nice into HO, but was hella outdated and ass. So I made some changes to the sets and some mons (yveltal -> etern), and shieldpoke tested it and liked it a ton. Toxic is what was initially on the zyg for opposing zyg and arc fairy, but dtail also works. Honestly there's a lot of minor changes you can do with this team to fit your preference and it will still work well, a good team that's quite consistent and relatively beginner friendly. Unfortunate we didn't get to see this game but its alright, shit happens.

Other teams that didn't make the cut:

https://pokepast.es/cd399595dff65e39
https://pokepast.es/ede4b694b3686109
https://pokepast.es/b9d2d507e54fbc72

https://pokepast.es/db41849e8ba3eedc
https://pokepast.es/b80132e302cb44bf

These teams either didn't make the cut because I reached a roadblock with them and couldn't figure how to sort out the structure i envisioned in my head, or just from pure preference into the matchup. Not all of these teams have issues, and I emplore you to try them out yourself first and feel free to adjust in whatever way you see fit. Do let me know if you end up changing them and they succeed, id be happy to discuss them further as I feel there are quite a lot of good structures here that can work.

Overall very happy with my prep this tour, although the season didn't turn out how I wanted it to, prep was incredibly fun with shieldpoke and R8 , I thought I would just be feeding teams to you but I'm so glad you actively participated in the prep and was vocal in what you like/didnt like. R8 words cant describe how much u keep my building in check in this tier, our retirement will be spectacular. Was fun solving this tier with you both, couldn't have asked for better.

Eternatus is the best Pokemon in the tier.

other shoutouts:

sasha ur the best co anyone could ask for, extremely grateful for handling like 90% of the stuff this tour, and sorry I couldn't help more. You did amazing both in play and managing, and the main reason we got this far. thx for agreeing to manage after i bailed on u last year LOL, glad we got to run it, and thank you again for this lovely experience

Tenebricite Isza U both ruled the SS slots and was always nice to see you guys prep constantly in the chat, was fun teaming with you both, when sasha typed 40 i got a headache but it worked out in the end, and u did much more than i could ask for. Was a pleasure to team with you both, ur amazing and ur success this tour speaks for itself

LBN Mimikyu Stardust ezra you guys kept up the sv slots til the bitter end, we had high hopes, but unfortunately the season didn't go your ways the entire tour and there were a lot of hiccups in this slot, but you all are amazing players and will do well in the future

Seasons unfortunately this tour didn't go well for you, and I'm sorry we couldn't help you do better. your a great player though, and i hope you still enjoyed your time with us as much as we did

Scarfire ur Fat but Ily

laptops DaAwesomeDude1 u guys are the goats, every time i see 0 messages in the doubles channel except the scout, and then on Friday laptops sends a team with staka and u both discuss it then u win. wallah the best doubles core i could have bought, and considering how i don't know the pool that well I'm so happy i got you both.

DripLegend Shucklegigas Ainzcrad u guys didn't get to play much barring a few games and prep but was a nice experience having u guys in the cord, all lovely people

thank u to all the other people who helped us prep and test and just keep the vibes up in the tour honestly, you know who u r and are amazing

:Shuckle: :Quaquaval: :Greninja: :Altaria-Mega: :Bisharp: :Aegislash:

My tournament was really bad and it was a culmination of a lack of tier knowledge and really bad team picks as well as frequent lackluster play. I think the only team worth sharing is my week 3 team. I may have lost that week, but that was 100% on me, there were multiple turns in the game where I can just win on the spot so can’t blame the team for it.

Greninja is broken af and after a boost it can run through a lot of the tier with no effort. For an undisclosed reason I ran Extrasensory Greninja in my actual game, changing it from Sludge Wave, and Sludge Wave would’ve cooked way harder so keep that imo. Malt with Brave Bird baits Venu quite well to weaken it for other mons, I don’t think Malt ever swept in tests but it paved the way a lot.

Quaquaval can run Ice move over Brave Bird depending on vibes too, he’s how I should’ve won my game but I didn’t see the path in game sadly. Z duck also nukes Clefable!

I think this is a strong team and urge people who know what they’re doing to try it out, maybe it can be improved upon. Just felt like sharing it because it’s the only team I made this tournament that I think is good.

Shoutout Starmies, sorry for my record. Still was fun.

Obviously not an ideal season, but it was a fun one. Thanks to Runo and a fairy for drafting me. You both made my first proper team tournament experience a great one and hopefully future tournaments end with better results. It was really fun to support and build with Eledyr and a big thanks to Sami for all their support in discussing ideas and testing! Teams wise I'll share some of the teams I built during NDPL that I quite like and/or I think are quite decent. I'll do a metagame discussion post at some point and go into more detail there.

:groudon-primal::ho-oh::arceus-fairy::zygarde-complete::eternatus::yveltal: - Flame Charge Fire Spin Tera Flying Ho-Oh + Imprison Arceus-Fairy

This was my favourite team I built and has a lot more going on that the cookie cutter balance it appears to be. Imprison Arceus-Fairy seemed like a very fun defensive wincon to build around and it was. That fourth move is pretty flexible, but I liked Taunt for the defensive utility and to have a very easy wincon against a lot of opposing balances. Rock Tomb on Primal Groudon and Glare on Zygarde are primarily there to enable Arceus-Fairy to lock down endgames against faster Taunt CM Arceus formes and many Eternatus. Ho-Oh is EV'd to trap and remove utility arceus formes and defensive Eternatus if need be with Tera Flying. The Speed EVs are to outspeed Eternatus at +1. Wallbreaker Eternatus is for more immediate offensive pressure and Choice Scarf Yveltal is for the role compression of a Defog v Webs +alright revenge killer. I'm not sure what the best last move is, I considered Tailwind at one point.

:groudon-primal::ho-oh::arceus-dark::eternatus::necrozma-dusk-mane::kyogre-primal: - Reflect Balloon Eternatus + DD Solg Z Necrozma-DM

Fast defensive Eternatus is really good right now with HDB being especially nice for getting a Toxic Spike up against HO. I figured that a Balloon could serve a similar purpose while being a very good Marshadow check and liked the idea of Reflect on it. Intially Ho-Oh had Light Screen but it really just did not fit.

:groudon-primal::ho-oh::arceus-dark::zygarde-complete::eternatus::kyogre-primal: - Dragon Tail Arceus-Dark + Offensive Tera Fly WW Ho-Oh

Quite liked this one and it is pretty straightforward. Ho-Oh and Primal Groudon easily deal with the Fairy types that are an impediment to Arceus-Dark and Eternatus. Primal Kyogre shores it up against stall but something that is better into HO might be better in that slot.

:groudon-primal::ho-oh::arceus-dark::zygarde-complete::eternatus::ditto: - 'Good Stuff' + Ditto Balance

Eledyr used this w6 and won and really liked it. Don't really have much to say about the rest.

:groudon-primal::ho-oh::arceus-dark::zygarde-complete::eternatus::calyrex-ice: Caly-I BO

:groudon-primal::giratina-origin::arceus-fairy::zygarde-complete::chien-pao::alomomola: Mola + Chien Pao Balance

:groudon-primal::ho-oh::arceus-dark::zygarde-complete::eternatus::lunala: SpD Zygarde + Lunala BO

:groudon-primal::giratina-origin::arceus-fairy::zygarde-complete::deoxys-attack::alomomola: - Alo + SD Overheat Pdon + Deo-A Balance

:groudon-primal::ho-oh::arceus-fairy::eternatus::marshadow::garganacl: - IDBP Garganacl + Fast Boots Eternatus Balance

Official Oculars NDPL SV Team Dump
Ur not getting any ss teams this time since I played shit and used old teams anyways, however I went 3-2 in SV NDOU and id like to offer some insight into my teams and why I brought them.

Week One vs Avarice
Meat Beam Glimm Marshadowmmo-O Screens

:sv/grimmsnarl: :sv/mawile-mega: :sv/ogerpon-wellspring: :sv/kommo-o: :sv/dragonite::sv/glimmora:

So this was a team I already had in my builder I believe I loaded it before in a circuit tour, general idea is to abuse substitute behind screens and take advantage of passive shit with toxic like lando gliscor and mola, also meat beam glimm btw cause meat beam is sick and sash is for scrubs. This kommo-o set is basically gg if it gets set up as it has no resists to the fighting ghost stab combo and Ive really enjoyed using it against bulkier teams, u can set up in the face of a lot of slow shit. This is like my average type of team I like to use, just standard good screens but Avarice was way better prepped than I expected since we day one RFN'd and they brought double priority mlop and banded dnite which was a nightmare for my setup sweepers. I took the RFN this week since I had no NDOU scout for avarice while they have a massive scout for me so the longer we waited to play the more of a prep advantage they would have.

Week Three vs PDT
Copy of Copy of Copy of Greatest of All Time Moist Homies Extra Dragons Rain Nobody Has More Rain Than Me I Have The Most Rain
:sv/pelipper::sv/barraskewda: :sv/swampert-mega: :sv/archaludon: :sv/raging-bolt: :sv/iron-treads:

So this game went great I loaded my cracked rain and made some big plays early, got the 10 turn 6-0. This is the best rain in natdex some may argue you can drop the bolt for manaphy and use that for a much easier stall MU but u can still beat stall with regular good plays using the bolt version. As for the sets, they try to exploit the common weaknesses of rain: Treads fixes momentum vs stuff like lead tapu lele, PJab on pert will bait in waterpon, sub archaludon beats ferrothorn and generally becomes a menace and the chople is there so you dont have to predict with tera against scarf shifu. People always ask why 98 peli? The answer is 99 mola.

Week Four vs Seth
Weakness Policy Mixed Kyurem Birdspam

:sv/grimmsnarl: :sv/ogerpon-wellspring: :sv/ursaluna: :sv/kyurem: :sv/landorus-therian: :sv/tornadus-therian:

This team is great and I felt fine off MU especially with mu ursaluna however I got absolutely baited by a modest z fly zapdos and never got my early trades off with luna meaning I was basically goobed the entire game. Weakness policy mixed kyurem is still shiest and should have an analysis done on the set. I said before the game the one mon I dont want to see with this birdspam is zapdos since im using the janky double dance weakness policy lando with flying tblast and thats exactly what I end up playing. I dropped foul play on grimm for twave incase seth brought some half fast shit and foul play isnt as impactful since seth already knows my grimms carry it, I also made luna max speed because of this to take better advantage of paralyzed mons.

Week Five vs LBN
Unbeatable AIDSmaxxed Garg Fat

:sv/skarmory: :sv/skeledirge: :sv/garganacl: :sv/chansey: :sv/iron-treads: :sv/venusaur-mega:

So bitta backstory here me and LBN were supposed to play in invitational but he ended up getting swapped out last minute and the hype ass game never happened so now that we finally get to play I decided to bring the legendary unbeatable incineroar team but drop incineroar for a dirty skeledirge incase LBN tried some cheeky boosting shit and also because skeledirge is cheap as fuck. Garg is just like the biggest aids mon ever also and chansey wish passing into the av tredz is also just a vibe. Winning with this team feels like it takes zero skill the games just like auto pilot and switching around and shit you never really have to make huge plays. It also helped that LBN loaded this super cheese anti offense with like quagsire, mega pinsir, the shit mono grass ogerpon and like an OTR stakataka, I loaded fat this week because I knew LBN was scared of my offenses and had also just made like a huge mald post in the metagame discussion thread talking about how scary kyurem and dragonite and shit are.

Week Six vs Ineros
Double Balloon Swagnezone and Fried Chicken Sun

:sv/torkoal: :sv/blaziken: :sv/venusaur: :sv/mawile-mega: :sv/raging-bolt: :sv/sandy-shocks:

Who would I be if I didnt load sun atleast once? Sun is consistently one of the most versatile playstyles and has great matchups into both offenses and fatter teams if built correctly. This is a take on my classic double balloon sun, it looks like it autoloses to any ground type but it doesnt, the defining feature of this team is the bolt being tera grass solar beam to slap dumb ground types who think they can just click eq and shit. The blaziken is this shiest upper hand set because I got sick of playing against banded dragonite offense cteams and having them spam espeed, sandy shocks is also super valuable to the team being an incredibly fast mon that can use bolt beam coverage with earth power while also setting a few layers of spikes if u feel like it, can get progress vs just about any structure. The most out of place mon here would probably be mega mawile however I just liked using the mon especially since sun teams are weak to dragons I wanted a fairy on the team to at minimum block scale shots and get off an intimidate.

Overall this was the worst tour ive played in a whle but my teams are still the most shiest ever and all of these are sample submissions but none of them wil get accepted cause council cant comprehend the insane levels of heat that are contained within my builds, if this post gets one goobillion likes ill drop a part two with all the crazy shit I prepped but didnt load.

First of all I wanted to thank Runo and Fairy for drafting me. you are goated managers thank you for trusting me for the nd ou slot

I won't go into detail because it will take me too much time and it's mostly build with scout

week 1 vs drip legend

:Glimmora: :Great Tusk: :Iron Boulder: :Ogerpon-Wellspring: :Raging Bolt::Volcarona:

It's a pretty simple ho around iron boulder

week 2 vs Lily
:Garganacl: :Landorus-Therian: :Tangrowth: :Medicham: :Iron Crown::dragonite:

the original team is with gouging fire but I replaced it with dragonite which also goes quite well in the team

week 4 vs Ryuji
:Tapu Koko: :Iron Boulder: :Slowbro: :Iron Moth: :Corviknight: :Ting-Lu:

this team was given to me by darkness. the original team was with band boulder before we edit it

week 5 vs kayzn

Week 2:
:keldeo: :tyranitar: :excadrill: :celesteela: :latias-mega: :amoonguss:
Replay: R1C3M4N vs Rasche
Keldeo had been pretty underused in the tier, with the combination of water, fighting, flying, being very hard to wall with pursuit support. It makes sense to slap this on a sand team with good and reliable pokemon like steela, lati, amoonguss etc. Despite missing every single move possible, I had a really good MU here against iron moth mega garde offense with ttar double steel and managed to win pretty cleanly.

Week 4:
:slowking: :arctozolt: :aegislash: :excadrill: :aerodactyl-mega: :buzzwole:
Replay: Micciu vs R1C3M4N
hail had been something I'd been spamming in ssnl and I wanted to make it work in ndpl. Unfortunately I had to remove arctovish to have some resemblance of counterplay against aegislash and other threats but that guy is really strong. Arctozolt didn't even come out this game because sd aegi is broken and took advantage of clef every time it came in.

Week 5:
:gallade-mega: :enamorus: :aegislash: :ting-lu: :rotom-wash: :iron moth:
Replay: R1C3M4N vs Saurav the great
gallade is a mon that I had seen put in a lot of work so I wanted to build some offense around it + healing wish enamorus since it lets it play more recklessly to try to trade with stuff like clef and lati. Unfortunately, it rolled into stall but broken sd z aegi farmed. Gallade is really good though, and so was this team in testing.

Week 6:
:buzzwole: :tyranitar: :excadrill: :celesteela: :rotom-wash: :latias-mega:
Replay: Lupla vs R1C3M4N
Did not have much motivation to build atp as we were out so I just brought the team I built for runo week 1, which was good into lupla + awyp's scout of heavy ting lu enamorus aegislash usage. Buzzwole is great at holding the tier together against super strong threats like mienshao and sd aegi. I had a really good matchup here but I didn't play around rotom very well. Even then, things were looking pretty good until buzzwole got crit by +2 shadow claw into sneak range and I tilted. Then, down 1v4 30% celesteela did the funniest thing imaginable.

Week 7:
:serperior: :tyranitar: :keldeo: :excadrill: :clefable: :celesteela:
Replay: R1C3M4N vs Elfuseon
Wanted to bring serp and felt it fit well with some of the common sand threats like ttar keldeo, pretty standard stuff. ttar got tricked a scarf and did work, trapping the victini, and once clef neutralized the hera with twave, it was over. Also got extremely lucky with the first turn wake on rotom with ttar.

Overall pretty happy how I played this tour, especially in the first 3 games where there were actually stakes. I had a ton of fun building for this tier, as I always do, and want to thank the entire nduu cord for always supporting me, you guys are the best!

Despite our team not performing well this season, I still had a lot of fun interacting with all of you. Once again, thank you Runo and a fairy for drafting, and Runo Iride Dead by Daylight Velcroc Dabman1069 for help in building and testing. Also, special shoutout to Boomenheimer for being a great presence in the team cord.

Didn't end up playing a lot of UU but between picking up RU and building for dunoks alongside TBIC106 I have quite a few builds I want to share.

UU
Week 1: Dunoks v. Elfuseon
Dunoks built the team himself so not much input, team ended up performing well despite looking really strange.

Week 2: Danbear02 v. Seasons
:Gardevoir-Mega: :Zeraora: :Scizor: :Rotom-Wash: :Ting-Lu: :Iron Moth:

Mega Gardevoir BO

ngl I've been so busy this season that I don't remember the exact reasons for most of the choices on teams, but here I'm pretty sure the goal was to load a MGarde Zera team to bust through both fatter structures with MGarde and obliterate HO with Zeraora. The team is incredibly weak to Mienshao which was loaded by Seasons, but the rest of their team was suboptimal so it was fairly easy to wear down the structure and win with MGarde, regardless of a lot of the luck from my side. Funnily enough 2 other players came to a similar build without collaboration, though I can't recall who.

Week 3: TBIC106 v. Runo

We subbed so TBIC just loaded something random, would've prolly worked if not for some moderate hax.

Week 4: Dunoks v. Ampha
:Buzzwole: :Slowking: :Hippowdon: :Scizor: :Hydrapple: :Celesteela:
Buzzwole Slowking Fat

Most weeks I just dropped my builder and seems like Dunoks likes fat builds so we selected this one. Core is Buzzwole + Slowking meant to handle Mienshao + Iron Moth which is the premier offensive core with Boots Spam and support from Scizor & Hydrapple to exert offensive pressure. Team worked perfectly over a long game to wear down the opposing fat. Also idk how tf it happened but somehow between me passing this team and the team being brought Scizor became Swarm lmao.

Week 5: Dunoks v. Miccui
:Greninja: :Hydrapple: :Excadrill: :Aegislash: :Aerodactyl-Mega: :Iron Moth:
Weird Offense

We wanted to load something offensive this week so I stole this structure from an old sealoo build. BB Gren is stupid and so is Hydrapple, so building around those two to blow holes in shared checks like Clefable or Celesteela was pretty straightforward.

Week 6: Dunoks v. thebestever543
:Mienshao: :Hippowdon: :Skarmory: :Rotom-Wash: :Amoonguss: :Latias-Mega:
Mienshao Fat

This is an old ass team, but dunoks wanted to load Mienshao and I had this in my builder and thought it was solid. Mienshao + hazards ravages the entire tier and HippoSkarm stacks them well. We made an edit to help with the updated state of meta which was MFire over Aura Sphere with MTar gone, but either is fine.

Week 7: Dunoks v. Lupla
:Venusaur-Mega: :Greninja: :Scizor: :Iron Moth: :Ting-Lu: :Celesteela:
Celesteela overload Bulky Offense

Team was designed to prey upon the standard defensive structures built around Celesteela. MVenu Knocks Celesteela's Leftovers and then Greninja and Scizor abuse it to high heaven. Lupla decided to not load Steela for whatever reason that week so all of our work was for naught (still won tho).

Week 8: Dunoks v. Rasche
:Buzzwole: :Iron Moth: :Greninja: :Ting-Lu: :Scizor: :Aerodactyl-Mega:
Bulk Up Buzzwole Offense

Another in the line of Bulk Up Buzzwole teams, this was a more offensive team rather than the Fat loaded in week 4. Dunoks made some edits which defo made the team better, mainly putting Boots on Buzz and Scizor so HStack isnt an auto lose matchup. If you look closely you can even see the sabotage of Bold Buzzwole which almost ended up mattering. Moral of the story kids, never accept a Danbear02 build without looking at the damn abilities and natures

Week 4 and 7 are the only teams I really wanna submit for samples, the others are really unintuitive or not that great generally.

RU

I got slotted here after a rough couple of first weeks for the team and I would say I picked up the tier fairly quickly, going 5-0 in the tier until I played poorly in Semis. Want to post our builds here to give more visibility to the tier as it is incredibly fun and balanced, though Okidogi and Mega Aggron are kind of broken.

Week 3: Danbear02 v. Velcroc
:Okidogi: :Swampert: :Sceptile-Mega: :Mandibuzz: :Tinkaton: :Thundurus:

Don't really have titles for these teams bc idk the tier that well, but we kinda figured out that Okidogi was broken early on so loaded a lot of Dogi. This was just a standard offense built by Kate, who is not only a fantastic manager but also builder and support and player too like huh??? Team played well and worked.

Week 4: Danbear02 v. Micaiah
:Sceptile-Mega: :Gligar: :Tyranitar: :Tangrowth: :Slowking: :Okidogi:

Micaiah loaded a lot of Mega Aggron and Sandy Shocks so decided to go with a Defog Gligar to sit on both alongside Band TTar and Dogi because those two are absurd. MAgg was loaded so it worked out, though a very lucky crit basically saved the game against the speedy Sinistcha.

Week 5: Danbear02 v. Dlanyer
:Primarina: :Latias: :Cobalion: :Tangrowth: :Crobat: :Diggersby:

We noticed all of Dlanyer builds kinda folded to CM Primarina so Kate built a team around that. Team worked, Prim cooked, all according to plan.

Week 6: Danbear02 v. feen
:Latias: :Volcanion: :Lokix: :Tinkaton: :Amoonguss: :Manectric-Mega:

This was the first week post shifts so the meta was kinda in dissaray. I loaded an anti-Slowking offense which performed well in testing v. Runo but feen loaded offense. Lokix + Volc were fantastic offensive pressure that were able to finish off the opposing team.

Week 7: Danbear02 v. big Chungus irl
:Okidogi: :Lokix: :Manectric-Mega: :Slowking: :Tinkaton: :Dhelmise:

Chungus never played so we weren't really sure what they would load, but Dogi was still broken so I landed on that. I saw a lot of MAggron in the scout and wanted to bring my Dhelmise propaganda to RU because Dhelmise beats MAggron with Anchor Shot and can spin hazards away reliably.

Week 8: Danbear02 v. Micaiah
:Salazzle: :Barraskewda: :Krookodile: :Aggron-Mega: :Cyclizar: :Togekiss:

This was a Runo build, and the only game I lost. Obviously this means that Runo builds suck. In all honesty, Salazzle was a fantastic call that would have obliterated the opposing team if I piloted better. Booster Shocks on a fat team like that really caught me off guard and tore through the team, and we identified that Micaiah was a huge MAggron fan but Salazzle isnt really a reliable MAggron switch, which was a little tough. If I locked in probably could have won, but Micaiah played better and deserved the win.

All in all was a great season for me. Shoutout to TBIC106 and dunoks for being great to build and play with (and for excusing my sabotage), and Fragments and Kate for being fantastic managers. Shoutout to Runo for tests and passing builds, as well as various other UU guys for tests.

:Moltres-galar: VIVA LA FENIX :Moltres-galar:

NDPL is over and its been a ride, only really got to play one game but atleast i saw some time off the bench.
During my game off the bench i brought a HO i built for one of my Farmers league players and let it go thru a Ryuji scan. He turned it into a french team and we dominated.

Losing NDWC semis into losing NDPL finals is heartbreaking im ngl, especially with some bs moments in the finals, but I still greatly enjoyed this tour. :raichu: /// :victini: :greninja: :excadrill: :iron-moth: :hydrapple: :aerodactyl-mega: Win vs Saurav the Great

built this randomly bc i thought moth + scarf gambit tini could be a good offense core to chip ting. kdca ran this in like 4 tests v seasons and went 4-0 so i sent it and rasche rocked with it. shit went crazy in the game, i think offense like this has a lot of potential in uu altho i would retroactively say that apple should be av else gren rolls this shit

Week 2
SV OU
:spheal: /// :ogerpon-wellspring: :enamorus: :kyurem: :mawile-mega: :iron-moth: :great-tusk: Win vs Kyo
stole this from a storm zone ou team and changed the kyu to 4a mixed dice (did gods work this game) asw as mmaw > gambit. P solid and fun, got a bit lucky with kyos internet blowing up turn 1

:togedemaru: /// :torkoal: :iron-moth: :dragonite: :tinkaton: :great-tusk: :raging-bolt: Loss vs ARTYMASION

this sun is mad good ngl i made it back in like july or august but i think it holds up well. p intuitive to play, tinkaton is a beast on this

Week 3
SV OU
:spheal: /// :MOLTRES: :GREAT-TUSK: :meowscarada: :Dragonite: :primarina: :iron-crown: Win vs Soul king0
just wanted anti-ho/stall, took another sz ou team and edited molt > moth to secure lop/crown mu better. pretty clean game

SV UU
:raichu: /// :excadrill: :reuniclus: :hippowdon: :latias-mega: :mienshao: :rotom-wash: Win vs awyp
this was sand with an emphasis on chipping the fuck out of ting in order to endgame w lati. koff reuni helped do that asw as utility drill. this team is definitely ass but it won so maybe its not

Week 4
SV OU

:togedemaru: /// :pelipper: :swampert-mega: :barraskewda: :archaludon: :tornadus-therian: :ferrothorn: Win vs Fabriisse
i sent a bunch of pastes and lily said rain looks broken so we just edited ferro set a bit and rolled with it. this is ideal rain 6 in natdex imo

SV UU

:darkrai: /// :zeraora: :aegislash: :iron-moth: :gastrodon: :latias-mega: :clefable: Loss vs Dunoks
balance-ish build. really love this encore clef, checks apple, annoys cele by locking into leech. maybe wants mfire lati in hindsight though. storm drain gastro kinda hits nothing, i think sticky hold is a very sturdy sciz check which is hella good rn

Week 5

this was kinda lazy from me ngl but just a basic bo-ish take with amoong/exca defensive core. its rly sus vs moth with just aero ngl. elec z zera is a neat set as long as ur removal is fine

collab with my bro dan, this team is super fun and i think it woulda won
kDCA - when u mentioned running back weavs in south cord like 6mo back, i figured why not and that managing could be fun bc u were a solid friend of mine and i saw ur dedication last pl. during that like 2mo period before the draft where we were just yapping daily, i was very happy to have someone who matched my enthusiasm for this tour and was willing to talk ab draft hypotheticals at 2am. During the tour, you helped out w tests p much everywhere and carried Losethier to a heat record. Altho ur record ended a bit...Mid...I still think ur hella good and one of the most underrated ss nders out there asw as doing a lot to push the meta forward.

thank you so much for managing w me bro, dont think i couldve asked for someone better. hope to see u in SV MODE for wc

Luthier - i thought u were pretty funny and i respected ur passion even for some dumbass natdex side tour in US v RoW. think you are just a major tryhard at the end of the day. after that, passing/building in the 2 nd money tours was also enjoyable since u were a mad good pilot and malded as FUCK even when you lost to some random ass natdex main; i respect it. then this tour, me and dca had you as our #1 prio in auction and when we got u for 18k we knew the pool was fucked LOL. 8-1 is hella impressive, i probably wont see u in natdex ever again but ill be rooting for you across the site once u return from fake retirement #36. hope u get some chipotle and continue harassing dca about his neighbor.

Micaiah - holy shitttttttttt NDRU jesus. ngl this slot had the most question marks bc i had no clue how to build it but all the mainers were kinda bad, so having this random ass dude just walk in and play like 50 tests per week only to pull up with the same maggron fat and dominate was a godsend. Easily the most valuable pick in our entire action, your dedication was insane and I hope to see you back in natdex in some capacity

eragon - eragoat! i always liked watching ur games before ndpl even if i didnt know what was going on. every tier has their dedicated crack builder and looks like thats ur job in nddou. the end of the tour was ass for you with luck/matchups galore ruining your great run, but I think you have a ton of potential in the dou scene as a whole tbh. ur yt vids are fire btw, keep killin it boss

skimmythegod - dude just doesnt play the tier then walks in and slaps everyone if not for luck most weeks. Your prep habits made me feel like a concerned mom at times ngl, but I think you were definitely in the upper echelon of ubers players in a pretty good pool. hope u return in ndwc6 and solve the tier again, skimmythegod (of #game-discussion)

pdt - i know the tour didnt rly go ur way, but ur competitive as fuck and bit back for the latter stretch of the season. i rly like how u play the game and build your teams; definitely one of my favorite players to team with throughout what is our third tour together now. I feel like this post should be a bit longer but idk what to say that i didnt in my NDWC shoutout from this, ur the goat brother. I know you said ur prob done w natdex for a min, but if you ever change your mind, would love to run it back on South. Gl with ur endeavors man

Lily - building/passing for you every week was pretty fun! i really liked your playstyle dating back to watching NDWC games where u just ran everyones shit on europe. you were active in your prep which is a quality i rly enjoy in a pilot. really admirable job clawing back from an unfort start, keep owning folks across the site

Rasche - ngl my uu cooks fucking sucked sometimes but also went hard too. thanks for harnessing them to the best of your ability LOL ur overall just a pretty solid pick and any manager who wants reliable positive records should invest

Splash - despite some ass mono moments, im v thankful you never quit on it. You just got bullshitted some weeks and thats how the game goes, but despite that I always had confidence in you to win as long as the playing field was roughly even.

Sunnyboi0 - sorry we drafted u to support because u are one of the best ndm players out there and one of the next best players in mono IMO. on the other hand, thank you for the incredibly comprehensive prep weekly. u have a fuck ton of potential boss, from one NDMPL/MFPL champ to another. keep it up

Clawed Winter - sry u got 0 games oops, altho u woulda put up a solid record in this pool shown by ur dominance in ss nd money tour. West needs a good player in ndwc to counteract adriyun being ass...good luck king

Rafadude - ty for keeping some of my...Dogshit UU ideas in check. sry we couldnt get u a game asw tho, hope to see you continue cooking in uu

Ampha - cat gif extraordinaire and occasional scoutgod! preciate your willingness to sub in, we mainly just wanted to pick you up to have a fleixlbe pilot to sub if need be and you fulfilled that role well, gl in future endeavors!

LogIce - Monotype Legend Logice. u were generally quite active everywhere but obviously more so in doubles. as shown by ur derby performance, you have a lot of potential in this tier too. keep cooking boss!

to those who joined cord to support: Boomenheimer Danbear02 Ineros seth Kayzn peap Seasons Aso Frixel Seo. Sulo ty for the prep help/larp in any capacity, appreciate it friends!

finally, s/o to Pokerich Clique and the bros in GCN!

ty all who offered kind words/support, hope to see yall in NDWC

the team in the finals, the essence of my theory
emm, some of team have deleted by me because of outdated,so i say some my opinion to ndub(i have promised this to bumb)
heres my conclusion,no wonderful team in ndub now, always rely on mu
first, expect primal groundon, the best pokemon in ndub(every team expect stall all take it),zyg zac and etern are the key role, its fun that they both have different set, defence or offence on zyg and etern, and cc or tera blast on zac,the different set always can alter the situation,dd zyg is no wonder the most difficult pokemon to deal with, can 2ko arcs after +1 tera ground, also take sub and dragon tail, force everyone to guess with it and always have advantage.can say the only weakness of
dd zyg is tera fairy defence zyg,oh,another weakness is both of them all rely on the tera seat of the team, without tera they are weak.
then is zac,im always annoyed how to deal with zac,no common pokemon faster than it,and no reliable pokemon to deal with it,you must guess its set, common cc zac can rely on groundon, but if you meet tera ground groundon will.be 1ko after +3,if you wanna to defend zac,you should pay three pokemon cells and one tera, three for one, then cant deal with other pokemon, zac really the key factor why offence is far stronger than defence.
then is etern, the helper of zac, scarf yv can restrict zac in some way,but wall breaker etern change that, easily switch in yv and then beam break another pokemon,so scarf yv is shit in my opinion now, slower than +1 ulnec and cant break or save team, the only use is to aim at web.it also the the most comprehensive pokemon, there have been ts defence etern, but disappear after wall breaker etern
become popular,it can both shoulder the cleaner of ts and the team breaker, sometimes evern can break strange stall
than ulnec, its seems weak because of too much arcs dark and lo sucker punch yv,but if you dont take arcs dark,it will tell you how strong it is,steady one for one and a half even two, another factor why offence is strong,so it almost bind one cell of dark pokemon, btw, defence yv isnt reliable, will be 1ko after +1,so only arcs dark can stop it.
ok,now we have almost decided the whole team, primal groundon, etern, zyg, three most reliable pokemon, one dark to deal with ulnem or use priority move like cb marshadow or arcs normal,ok,then you only have two cells now, have been so offence now why not take one zac to add pressure to your opponent?the last cell marshadow hooh yv ulnec both ok,that have been a strong offence, only weak to sticky web because if wanna to win the same kind team, cant take defog, can win most defence, break opponent team is far more easier than defence, zac is the key factor(important thing repeat again)if not ban zac,i can say next year still be offence fight, speed tie in 434,it let me remember 9ub
at last, talk about primal kyroge,i still think its shit so i never take it in my team, perform too bad in such environment,it cant switch in any pokemon, also need 3 or more turns to break groundon,if i zac and ulnec have 3 turns, have easily broken the team yet,its fit when face defence team can let it cm and rest, but sadly no that team now,if have, then it cant stop offence
thats all my opinion of 9ndub,zac really let me remember korai and mirai, same nobody can stop them, the only problem is may compete tera with zyg kkkkk

by the way, this team just for one games
dont fit all situation,my opinion not%100 accurate, just share it

Good day folks. Today I present you all with SS National Dex teams (worth sharing imo) that I built/passed/stole/reimagined/innovated over the course of this PL:

SS Psyspam Offense
:ss/Victini: :ss/Tapu-Lele: :ss/Kartana: :sm/Greninja-Ash: :sv/Landorus-Therian: :sm/Scizor-Mega:

I built this team week 4 for my game against Devin. Devin loads some very robust offenses that I did not feel comfortable piloting anything fat into, while doing a good job loading mons that can work around HO because of how priority heavy his builds appeared. So I thought a psyspam offense could go hard here. I got the inspiration for this team from one of my favorite SM OU teams: USUM Psyspam Offense (Peaked #1 by BTB & Ayevon, 2100+ ELO).

This was my initial foray into saying "Fuck it I'm loading priority mons next to Lele" as I've always had an aversion to running mons like Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham, and Mega Scizor under Psychic Terrain. The idea here though is that Scizor is just a budget Magearna with reliable recovery that can check Weavile, Kyurem, and a variety of other physical threats while offering a slow pivot and a sleeper late game threat. Obviously with Mega Alakazam not being legal in SS, I opted for the next best thing which was a Z-Celebrate Victini which goes hard with Psychic Terrain up and could get rid of stuff like Tran/Pex that could pave the way for Scizor/Gren to clean.

Since Kart was the fogger I was not partial to running Spikes Gren or any form of hazard stack as my team didn't appreciate hazards either and opted for U-turn instead to hunt switches. AV Lele is EV'ed to hit the same SpAtk stat as scarf but dumping the rest into bulk while hitting 270 speed for Adamant Rillaboom.

The team loaded into Devin reasonably well come game time and I lost due to a poorly timed Kart crit on the penultimate turn but Devin played well around the Victini which presented a massive threat midway through the game.

Sub-QD Volcarona Rain
:sv/Pelipper: :sm/Swampert-Mega: :sv/Manaphy: :ss/Ferrothorn: :sv/Zapdos: :sv/Volcarona:

This was a bit of a mad scientist load but there were a few things I knew for sure:
  • Ice Beam Manaphy fucks on Mega Latias Balance
  • Kyurem fucks rain
    • Bulkarona can soft check Kyurem
  • Volcarona's checks are Heatran, Toxapex, Tapu Fini, Dragonite
    • All of these guys barring Dragonite get overwhelmed by Rain but I figured Chris is more preferential to Mega Latias than Dragonite
So if you do the quick maths you'll see that this was actually a brilliant load into Chris as long as he didn't load like Specs Kyurem. Though he does occasionally load Kyurem but rarely ever Specs. TPP trusted the process and brought home the 6-0. Though to be fair to Chris his Ferrothorn could not hit a Power Whip to save its life.

SD Gliscor Hazard Stack
:sv/Gliscor: :sv/Skarmory: :sv/Clefable: :sv/Toxapex: :sv/Volcarona: :ss/Latias-Mega:
I built this team Week 5 for my game against Fc. Fc's scout showed he liked hazard stacking and while I could have gone with a hard offense/HO, I wanted to use this opportunity to build an annoying hazard stack myself around SD Gliscor with support from Mega Latias and Volcarona in the back. Most of the sets are standard with Clef and Pex both running Knock Off to maximize hazard damage.

Fc pulled up with a very threatening Reuniclus-Diancie-Kyurem core but with a Scarf Fog Lando so as long as I played the long game I could win the hazard stack war. Volc once again proved as a solid soft check for Kyurem so long as it doesn't get frozen. The Toxapex being Toxic Spikes instead of Toxic let Mega Latias play more freely and starting Turn 124 is where we both YOLO'ed and committed to the Calm Mind war between Latias and Reuniclus which ultimately spelled the end for this game and got me the W.

MawNite
:sm/Mawile-Mega: :sv/Dragonite: :ss/Tapu-Koko: :sv/Landorus-Therian: :ss/Ferrothorn: :sv/Volcarona:
This is an old Chris team from a past PL that I was a big fan of and thought might be a good load into Stareal who again I felt leaned more towards bulkier teams. TPP loaded this team Week 5 to a commanding win.

Chris' version runs Dual Wingbeat Dragonite which I totally get on this build and would to allow Dragonite to spam it freely but we wanted to give Dragonite a chance in a potential rain matchup against Zapdos hence why we opted for Ice Punch. My Dragonites are EV'ed to outspeed Mega Lopunny at +1 (same as Volcarona) while maximizing special bulk to better check Volcarona and Yard.

The star of the show for this team is ideally Mawile with its ability to heavily punish switch-ins and 2hko pretty much anything. But Volcarona ended up stealing the show as Stareal had no answer for it in this game.

Notice how Volcarona had been doing that for us all PL...

There are a couple more I'd like to share but they had better displays during my money tour run so I'll probably share those in a different team dump.

I think teambuilding for SS right now is at an interesting point where we're starting to see more Xard and Cress (like SM OU) as well as the rise of Aegislash. I think right now offense is better but poorly built/played ones can fall victim to certain hazard stacking fats.

Moreover I think that Weavile is starting to feel somewhat like Volcarona before boots was introduced—where we know it to be extremely threatening but hazards can keep it at bay. It's annoying in the builder for sure but I feel less concerned about it now whenever I consider loading fat.

Enjoy the teams! Hope to see y'all again next year!
