Necrozma-Dusk-Mane @ Ultranecrozium Z
Ability: Neuroforce
EVs: 52 HP / 228 Atk / 228 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Outrage
- Photon Geyser
- Earthquake
This variant of Necrozma-DM is similar to other Ultra Necrozma variants, but it aims to prey on different foes with Outrage. More conventional Ultra Necrozma sets run Stone Edge and tend to struggle defeating Dark-types like Arceus-Dark and Mega Sableye, but Outrage enables Ultra Necrozma to hit them much harder, even OHKOing Mega Sableye at +2. Outrage is also strong enough to threaten neutral targets like Ho-Oh and Yveltal and immediately dispose of Dragon-types like Zygarde, Giratina-O, and Mega Salamence. However, as this set is more vulnerable to Fairy-types due to Outrage, teammates that can deal with those are needed. Primal Groudon and Magearna are good teammates, as Primal Groudon threatens Ground-immune Steel-types and sets Stealth Rock to pressure Yveltal and Lugia, while Magearna can check Xerneas, which this set cannot. Mega Gengar can trap and dispose of Fairy-types and remove certain physical walls, and Choice Scarf Xerneas stands as a solid partner that handles Yveltal and Marshadow while covering faster foes well.
