New and "creative" moveset/EV spread thread "Mark 2"

Not open for further replies.
I like to have fun now instead of playing competitive.

I have another idea of a new set, but since I am so bad at actually making the set, can some one else make this idea into a set?

A counter kiss. Not the countering pokemon thing, the move counter.

3: Note that this thread is for sets that you've actually tried at least a few times, not something that "might work". If you think something has potential, you can be bothered to use it once or twice before subjecting everyone else to it.

4: If it's not obvious at first glance, say what tier you're planning to use something in.

5: This is for serious movesets only. Don't post joke sets.

6: Post a description along with your moveset. This should be obvious.

Failure to follow the rules will result in your post being deleted and infracted.

Please, just stop 1234gay. Why would anyone want to make a set for you? Don't be lazy.

lol 1234gay, i made the name without thinking of people calling me this. I am more of an idea person then a actually mking person. I am just so bad at it that's what everyone says. Fine, I'll try.

I did try to make Bulk Up Ursaring a set that can work, but everyone just puts me down. :(

Here is what I have come up with so far

CounterKilsls
Togetiss@lefties
252hp/120def/136sp.def
Calm
Serene Grace
-Counter
-Charm/T-wave
-Roost
-Hp-Ground

With a decent defense and a great sp.defense, Togekiss is usually seem as a sp.defense wall. So most people will try to hit this birdie from the phsical side. So counter is here to punish those who wants hit from the phsical side.

Charm is to reduce the damage of those hard hitters like mence, luke, and T-Boahs. While their damage is halved, the damage from counter is still doubled, so counter will still kill most of these threats.
T-wave can also act like Charm, because it can make the attackers slower than you, allowing you to roost therefore still reducing the damage by half, but when you don't roost, the hit you hard, and if they get paralized on the turn you counter, they would know your strategy and set up on you.

Roost is here for a quick recovery, and taking off the weakness of flying types having it doing better against Magnezone.
Or wish can be used as an alternative to support your team a bit more.

Hp-Ground hits most things that are switch ins to togekiss, it hit Magnezone really hard, and so does it hit heatran hard.

Some calcs. No Charm.

LO Luke CC:-226 - 267 (60.43% - 71.39%)
LO Mence Outrage:265 - 313 (70.86% - 83.69%)
T-tar Boah Stone edge-270 - 318 (72.19% - 85.03%)

Hp-Ground damage.

Hp-Ground: 260 - 308 (80.25% - 95.06%)

I haven't got the time to play test it, i'll post a brand new and more formal post about it.

We understand you are one of those novelty players, but post good novelty sets, not novelty sets that are shitty, use common sense.

We don't want you to try your hardest.

We want you to play competitively, experiment, and, if you find something that works, something that is actually good, to post it here.

There is no demand for new sets, so don't feel like there is an expectation to come up with new ones.

And please, change your avatar. It looks disgusting.

Is it realy that bad?
The dark thing beside mence's tail is not his penis, and nite is not going to suck it.

Aww, god dude. You just made me look at it that way!

Special Wall Latias
Latias@Leftovers
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP / 228 SpDef / 28 Spe
- Wish / Recover
- Dragon Pulse / Psychic
- Thunder Wave / Protect
- Light Screen

Latias has many things going for it as a special wall.

1. Team support in Wish
2. Light Screen
3. Amazing speed

All this can make it a decent wall in OU. If you don't like Wish, use Recover. Dragon Pulse has better neutral coverage than Psychic but hits less things super-effective. Protect can be used with Wish, or Thunder Wave can be used for paralyzing stuff. With these EVs, it outspeeds +natured base 70s, aswell as the likes of Tyranitar, Breloom, and most Zapdos. Other options for this set are Toxic for walls, and Safeguard to protect against status.

Fixed. It was special defense.

Not really. Can't take special attacks nearly aswell as Blissey, but it has an Electric / Grass / Fire / Water / Fighting / Psychic resist, all fairly common attacks. It's also got a lot higher Special attack.

A new unpossibly, by unpossibly of course I mean totally possibly crappy set!

Repeat kiss
Togekiss@metronome
252hp/252sp.atk/6sp.def
Modest
Seren Grace
-T-wave
-Sweet Kiss
-Air Slash
-Roost

The more offensive version of the Flinch set of Togekiss. Aura Shpere is replaced with Sweet Kiss) to cause parafusion. The ves allow good bulkiness and high offensive poswer. Metronome is the key in this set. If you don't know what it does, i'll tell you.

The power of an attack is increased by 10% on each consecutive use, up to a maximum of +200%. The boosts are lost if the holder uses another attack or switches out.
The boost is only applied on multiple selections of a move, not multiple executions. This means that moves that lock the user into the move for multiple turns will not boost for each time the user attacks, only when they select the move again.

And since this set has only 1 attack, Air Slash's power would go sky high (LOL, it's a bird, obiviously it's attack goes sky high)! Making this set unstoppable!

Muhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!

O ya, and Air Slash still flinches!

Muhahahahahahahahahaha!

O ya, there also parafusion with the flinch.

Muhahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
I don't think Togekiss truly counts as a bird. It doesn't really have a beak or true legs... and a lot of Pokemon either resist Flying, have the defenses to shrug it off (like Blissey), or scare the living hell out of it.
And why SpD evs? I'd put them in speed.
Edit: I'm really late...

I know it's such a crappy set.
At least it's better than some people's random choiced monsters.

No, not really. Those usually have the potential to work.

I am not making these sets and hope it be in the analysis, I just wanted a place to keep my ideas.
Right here in this thread.

Ever heard of these things called Microsoft Word and Notepad? You should try them some time.

I don't see any reason to ever use Psychic over Dragon Pulse and I'm appalled that Reflect isn't even mentioned, much less a necessity. Psychic gives Weavile and Tyranitar a free switch, and without Reflect, you essentially give your opponent a free kill. I'm not sure what you're trying to outrun with 28 speed EVs either.

My comp is really slow when I use word, so nah.
Any comments on the counterkiss?
It's been doing great on my team, but you can play test if you want to. I need more opinions about it.

BTW, I sweeped twice with by bulk up Ursaring, I am so happy, it's always like this: I get 4+ bulk up, the opponent thinks I am a tank, so they trick a choice scarf or band on to me, then I just sweep through the team.
I am using my second ev spread though, it seems to work much better.

I am also using a phsical Latias as a lead with psycho shift/suck punch/zen headbutt/reflect. It's okayish.

I agree with Teabag here, and Soul Dew will probably still be better, as it beefs up Latias a lot.

Yes, its for OU so no Soul Dew. And I never said Psychic was better or anything. Reflect could work, but I'm not sure it'll help much against CB Tar's STAB Crunch and Dragon Pulse does little so its best to just switch out. May work for physical walling, or a counter set though.

And the Speed lets you outspeed stuff like Breloom, which is very important to hit it before it spores you.

Ohhh... I got it now... but I thought that it could use the dew in Ubers?
And I feel your pain, 1234giy. Something similar to that has happened to me in real life on multiple occasions.

You mean some one trying to suck your penis like what people thought was happening in my avatar or something else?
My name is 1234gjy, but the j looks like an i.

Here's a rather ludicrous Togekiss that my brother has been messing around with:

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Serene Grace
Calm
252 HP / 100 Def / 156 SpD
Rest
Sleep Talk
Ominous Wind / Silver Wind
Ancient Power

It's rather novelty, but with a little luck can pull off some ridiculousness. With a 20% chance of raising all stats each attack and bulky defenses to begin with, after even one raise it will be nearly impossible to take down Togekiss easily, allowing it to get more and more raises. Sleep Talk and Rest are preferable to Roost as it helps allay the PP problem of Ancientpower and the Winds and allows Togekiss to tank status better. If status isn't your concern, you can run Roost, Both Winds, and Ancient Power instead.

Just make sure you take down Blissey before getting this thing out there, or Blissey will wall its moves indefinitely until it stalls out of PP.

BTW, I sweeped twice with by bulk up Ursaring, I am so happy, it's always like this: I get 4+ bulk up, the opponent thinks I am a tank, so they trick a choice scarf or band on to me, then I just sweep through the team.
Anyone who lets their opponent get 4 Bulk Ups is a fucking idiot and should not be taken seriously. Also stop posting shitty sets that you haven't even tested. People come in here looking for creative sets that work, not shitty sets that does absolutely nothing.

Ursaring is too slow to go and set up; it has Guts already (Quick Feet is honestly useless on it). I'd rather pass some speed or switch it in to a status or ghost move and force a switch and do heavy damage to whatever comes in. I've never tried a BL Trick Room team around it, seeing as it's not as bulky as some other options available.

It doesn't need Bulk Up or SD to sweep, really. Both are wastes of moves that could be used on its array of options.

These statements could not be more wrong. Have you ever faced a Toxic Orb Quick Feet SD Ursaring? 343 Speed, immunity to burn/paralysis, 140 base power STAB move, and 359+ Attack. Hmm, definitely sounds like a waste of time to me...

Quick Feet SD Ursaring is a pain in the ass once your Steel types are gone. It can take out 4-5 pokemon easy before the poison starts getting to it. Pair it with Magnezone and have a pokemon on your team to take Fighting attacks (hint ResTalk Gyarados, who also has great synergy with Magnezone) and you have a winning combination.

LR.
