Breloom (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Thunderpunch
- Seed Bomb
- Mach Punch
---
I've been running this as a lead, and it works fucking amazing. It outspeeds base 125s, and puts them to sleep, giving me and advantage right off the bat. Mach Punch is great for revenge killing stuff on low health, while Seed Bomb+T-Punch gives it good coverage.

I used to run that set a long time ago except I used Sky Uppercut over Mach Punch. No one ever really expects a Scarf on Breloom. Effect Spore could be the better trait, unless you switch in on a predicted toxic.

Unless you really need a pokemon to switch into toxic.

Stantler: @ Life Orb
252 Spe, 252 Atk, 4 SpA
Nature (+Atk, - SpD)

- Hypnosis
- Thunder Wave
- Me First
- Return

Hit with Sleep as fast as you can, then Twave on the switch. You are guaranteed to be faster and abuse Me First with Life Orb's boost, Return is for STAB and consistant damage.

Smeargle: @ Choice Scarf
252 Spe, 252 HP, 4 SpD
Nature- Jolly

- Imprision / Destiny Bond
- Filler / Spore
- Filler / Stealth Rock
- Filler / Trick

Pick the 3 most common attacks in D/P OU and freeze them all at once. Otherwise use Smeargle the best you can with the 2nd set.

Cresselia: @ Chesto Berry
252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpD
Calm

-Rest
-Recycle
-Charge beam
-Ice Beam

Replace Sleep Talk with Recycle, and you can Rest whenever you want. Certainly you loose Leftovers, but this more than makes up for it. Just make sure you use Recycle each time before your next Rest.

Driftblim: @ Starf Berry
80 HP / 252 SpD / 176 Spe
Calm
Unburden

-Hypnosis
-Recycle
-Substitute
-Baton Pass

Sleep, then Sub till you activate Starf at the 4th Substitute, as well as Unburden. Recycle as they break your last Substitute and Baton Pass, your 2 Starf Boosts.

Grumpig: @ Sitrus Berry
252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
Calm
~ Recycle
~ Calm Mind
~ Psychic
~ Signal Beam

Sitrus is your 25% Recovery item when below 50% HP. Works like a Cresselia's Moonlight, but it activates for you, so you can still attack. Recycle refreshes the Berry. Basically its a phseudo Moonlight since Grumpig has no recovry moves, plus it frees up your moveslot for another attack. Same EVs from the Sleep Talk set.

Froslass @ Choice band
Jolly Nature
4 hp / 252 atk / 252 spe
Snow Cloak

- Ice punch
- Crunch
- Sucker Punch / Trick
- Wake-up-slap / Return

physical froslass has been a great addition to one of my hail teams, it has the same atk and spA base, now with platinum it can get sucker punch and Ice punch. will surprise most special walls.
Trick the choice band onto walls and hopefully attemt to sweep. in UU this is a great threat to many pokes which it can outrun ( nidoking, Grumpig, Altaria, Wigglytuff )

...............................................................................................................................

Hippowdon @ Choice Band
Brave Nature
252 hp / 252 atk / 4 def
Sand Stream

-Superpower / Body Slam
-Earthquake
-Ice Fang
-Stone Edge

Trick room choice band Hippo, ice fang and earthquake give good coverage and STAB. its base 112 atk stat will be a perfect match for choice band, with superpower from platinum this hippo can deal a lot of damage.
Body slam is les of an option if used on trick room teams, but can help with paralysis support on other types of team.
..............................................................................................................................

Smeargle @ Focus sash
Jolly nature
4 hp / 252 atk / 252 spe
Technician

- Dragon Dance
- Spore
- Baton Pass
- Explosion

Dragon dance on the first turn if your slower than the opponent, then spore, dragon dance again then either pass the stats or explode on the opponent, STAB 2 dragon dance explosion will be deadly.

or

Spore on the first turn if your faster than the opponent, dragon dance once or twice then pass or explode like above.

komodo, The froslass and hippo aren't creative.
I like hhjj's imprison smeargle though. I would suggest eq, ice beam for sure. and maybe SR or depend on your team.
Any comments on my sets?

Swalot@leftovers
252hp/252atk
adamant
either ability
-curse
-amnesia
-gunk shot
-elemental punch

A neat little wall, good typing allows survival. Stat up to take on more atks, maybe gunk shot for strong STAB and elemental punch for coverage. theorymon.

Another set for cacturne
leftovers
252atk/252spe
adamant
-sub
-leech seed
-body slam/cotton spore
-needle arm

30% para or lowering 50% speed is up to you. After whatever is slowed, needle arm to flinch or sub until you get a para hax. Then proceed to leech seed and sub and needle arming it. theorymon.

There's already a certain beaver who does this better already, Bibarel. Swalot has less weaknesses than Bibarel and slightly better stats, but that's about it. Bibarel can shoot up to +4 Sp. Def or +2 Atk, +2 Def in one move. Plus Water/Normal has excellent coverage.
But, Gunk Shot isn't going to be a reliable attack for a Curse Set. You're better off using Poison Jab. Also, the EVs really don't look too thought out.. :/

I guess, but swalot can setup in front of fighting types.

And for the imprison smeargle, the effect goes out after you switch, so you might want to slap a BP on it.

With the Imprison Smeargle in mind, I would use it as a Baton Pass team "Counter".

Smeargle@ Leftovers
252hp 252speed timid

-Imprison
-Substitute/Spore
-Baton Pass
-Mean Look/ Spore

Still practically like any other Smeargle set

Well this next set could work with anything that's fast or very bulky, but im just using Azlef because it's has an easy switch with Levitate

Azelf @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP|4 SAtk/4 Atk|252 Spe
Timid/Jolly Nature
-Protect
-Torment
-Explosion/Psychic
-Grass Knot/Ice Punch

Basically you switch in, and begin Protect/Torment stalling your opponent out of PP, and attack when appropiate/possible, more of an annoyer set if anything.

Something with Spite that can take a hit is also possible, this can ultimately deplete alot of PP, and annoy your opponent to death.

I like the CBHippo, looks really devistating, rivals CBLax.

There's already a CB Hippo in the analysis, just without Superpower.

Are you sure you are able to Protect, and then make a successful torment? If so, Crobat does that better, being faster and bulkier too. Looks like that could work on stall teams though, especially hail teams.

While i was thinking of ways to psuedo Drain your opponent, I came across Taunt's ugly cousin Torment, asked around in the Simple Question-Answer thread and was told that Torment can be used after Protect because the opponent had used PP for the move.

I didn't get to test because, I wasn't able to get on PBR yesterday didn't wanna look like a fool on Shoddy, but if the answer was correct then yea it should work.

CBHippo doesn't need Superpower. SP and EQ have REALLY redundant coverage, with SP only getting the stronger hit on Bronzong and Skarmory, both of which are better covered by Fire Fang, and Tyranitar, which gets stroked by SE STAB Earthquake anyway. Really, Superpower is useless for a CBHippo, and even if it wasn't, it's still a redundant set.

Spiritomb has base 50 HP and 108 defenses, can use spite, and has no weaknesses :D

Plus it has Pressure.

Any comments on my Recyclers?

Cresselia
Moveset Name: Rest Cycle
Move 1: Rest
Move 2: Recycle
Move 3: Charge beam
Move 4: Ice Beam
Item: Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
Nature(s): Calm
EVs: Ordered 252 HP/200 Def/56 SpD

I always like the idea of infinite Chesto Rest, but it's hard to find a turn to Recycle, just like real recycling you only do it when you have time and it's no neccistity, though on PBR where stratigeis like this are more useful it look usuable I might steal that Drifblim.

The problem that I might see with a Recycle/ChestoRest set is that you're telegraphing your recovery and giving someone a heads up to switch into a counter, say BandWeavile with Night Slash, something that can take a chunk out of something even as bulky as Cresselia.

Is Sleep Talk any better though? As you are stuck asleep for 2 turns...

With Recycle, you are only stuck using Recycle for 1 turn, plus it doesn't have to be right after you use Rest, simply use Recycle before you decide to use Rest again.

Additionally Recycle doesn't dictate your next Rest, Recycle simply indicates you are prepared to use Rest, not necessarily that you are about to.

Sleep Talk allows you to attack with some randomness I'll admit, but everything gets freaking Sleep Talk and Recy;e is limited to a few psychics, and some normal types, not mention with the rampage of tricking Rotoms waltzing around, both are highy susceptable, but Sleep Talk in theroy offers the most versatility, although on Shoddy most of the time it's just freaking Rest.

With Recycle afterthe first rest, it takes 2 Turns to Recycle then Rest.

With Sleep Talk you just rest, then Sleep Talk giving you 2/3 Attacking turns.

Assuming both times you get an attack w/ Sleep Talk in three turns it offers you more chances to attack/use other than moves than Recyle/Rest, I'm not bashing Recycle I actually like it, but in OU play attacking is usually more beneficial not to mention not having to fear being Koed while using Recycle, and hoping you hang on to use Rest.

BOTH have their risks though.

With Recycle, you only need one turn, according to what you said you would use Rest right after Recycle. It's not necessarily the case; otherwise for Sleep Talk you would have to factor in the 3rd turn.

Recycle: 1st Turn Recycle, 2nd Turn Rest / Attack

Sleep Talk: 1st Turn Sleep Talk, 2nd Turn Sleep Talk, 3rd Turn Rest / Attack

With Recycle, you can either Attack or, more importantly, Rest again an entire turn early.

Cresselia doesn't need to stay asleep, it just needs a quick heal.

I kinda consider this like an Early Bird + Rest combo: where 1 turn is spent on Rest, and the other is spent using Sleep Talk before waking.

However, in this scenario, 1 turn is spent on Rest, and the 2nd is spent on Recycle.

The good thing about Recycle over Sleep Talk is that is doesn't have to be used right after Rest, just as long as you use it before your next Rest. Cresselia's Defenses will probably allow Cresselia to take a few hits before needing to Recycle+Rest again, where as if it used Sleep Talk it is a gauranteed two turns before it wakes up.

Breloom (M) @ Choice Scarf

EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd

This is actually a very interesting set. I remember running one very similar to it ages ago. The set that I ran was:

Breloom @ Choice Scarf
Adamant Nature / Effect Spore
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP - (Might have used a lower Speed?)
~ Spore
~ Stun Spore
~ Sky Uppercut
~ Seed Bomb

I also used it as a lead, fast Spore is awesome, especially if you catch a suicider or something like a Gengar lead, Stun Spore basically incapacitates a sweeper later on in the game, bring it out on something like Infernape and its esentially out of the game, if INape KOs back with Flamethrower I didn't really care, it just helped me get another mon in without taking damage. Albeit Sky Uppercut and Seed Bomb don't provide great coverage, and this set still cant do much against Celebi, it is a gimmik, but one of the more effective ones that I have used so far.

With the Imprison Smeargle in mind, I would use it as a Baton Pass team "Counter".

Smeargle@ Leftovers
252hp 252speed timid

-Imprison
-Substitute/Spore
-Baton Pass
-Mean Look/ Spore

I would suggest Psych Up or Heart Swap over Mean look or Substitute

Like I said I'm not against Recycle, but the risk of being slower and having to survive an attack while preparing to Rest, and then surving another hit to use Rest is not as appealing as Sleep Talk.

Are you doubting cress' ability to take multiple hits??
That would be the most unreasonable thing to do.
If you are not, then nvm.

still trying to come up with a new set.
BTW, needle arm doesn't seem to flinch in shoddy. Might want to check that.

No the majority of Recyle users are frail Psychic/Normal types exceptions being Slowbro, SLowking, Cress, Snorlax and Blissey, and most of them cant afford to spend a turn setting up, Cress can, but Blissey and Lax are Koed by Infernape's Close Combat easy.
