There really isn't a whole lot that's worth mentioning left so might as well bring this up because it's (((fun)))

Specs Reuniclus chunks shit while taking advantage of its access to Regenerator to act as a sorta offensive pivot; of course, its bulk really isn't all that good when you don't fully invest into one defense, meaning that it can't afford to just go max HP/SpA or even creep Pex just because it won't even be able to avoid the cham 2HKO if it does that, but this spread aims to strike a balance to an extent, allowing it to avoid the Cham 2HKO when SR isn't up.

Basically the aim of this set is to get in vs smth u resist, fire off a powerful STAB or Future Sight or coverage move and then GTFO again and recover with Regen. IG u could also run Magic Guard for the Cham MU when SR is up but without Recover it feels kinda pointless as u die next time anyway so yeah Regen is just better. It’s really not good but my god it’s funny to see the look on ur opp’s face when they take six billion from Psychic

Signal beam hits psychics and darks in one slot, though it leaves you walled by steels but if you pair it with Magnezone, you will be fine. Anyways, Bugium allows for a nuke to straight up kill something like Mega Gyarados once you boost. also hits MSab for decent damage if you boost. Also you can 1v1 MSab cuz you aren't knock weak.

One of the problems with toxic-spikes + acid-armor reuniclus is that there are a few select mons that aren't affected by t-spikes such as Hydreigon and Bisharp, as well as the fact that the opposing player can go into their own pex on an unboosted psychic/psyshock, take only a little bit considering regen, and remove the t-spike before switching out to the dark type.

Colbur reuni lets you beat the aforementioned Bisharp and Hydreigon, while also beating other common ou dark types such as Tyranitar, Ash-greninja, and Weavile, and some of the less common ones like Crawdaunt. No attack from any of these mons is able to ohko reuni, and a +1 focus blast will ohko all of these mons except for assault vest Tyranitar, which is 2hko'd while not being able to 2hko Reuni with a 0atk crunch.

When compared to other sets such as Fightinium Z, or just regular leftovers reuni with focus blast, this set has the niche of easing prediction, as you aren't actually forced out by any of the dark types, thus you can calm mind freely until the opponent goes into the dark type, without having to predict the turn the dark type will come in. In addition, while this set is a fantastic win-con due to calm-mind, magic guard, and recover, this set can also just be used as a lure for the dark types mentioned above to support teammates such as Blacephalon and Tapu Lele.

Psyshock is heavily heavily preferred on this set, but Psychic could be used if your team truly has no other check to Hawlucha. Alternative ev spreads with more speed ev's can be used to speed creep Toxapex which are speed creeping 44 speed reuni.

It should be noted that Mega-Gyarados will live a +1 focus blast from Reuniclus, and has a good chance to 2hko through the colbur berry with crunch. However this is assuming the Gyarados player raw crunches without setting up, as reuni will live a +1 crunch comfortably with the colbur berry.

Also, this set is fully walled by Sableye, so it is generally useless versus stall.

I wanted to try something different for once, so this week's subject is Charizard! Both forms of Charizard have made a recent resurgence as incredibly potent breakers which abuse common defensive backbones through their interesting defensive typings, which grants both forms the ability to take advantage of weaker or resisted moves and start breaking or in the case of zard x, turn many of those mons into setup fodder. Additionally, Charizard has an interesting movepool, meaning it potentially has the capabilities to break past many of its would-be checks! Can you create the next best zard set?

For those looking into this pokemon and what it does, it essentially aims to patch up two glaring flaws on Zard Y, its mediocre speed, and its inability to break Chansey and Toxapex. While it struggles to fix the latter, it does a decent job of doing it, and the speed upgrade allows for it to surprise pokemon like Tapu Koko and Scarf Landorus-Thedian. Fire Punch may be appealing as no recoil as compared to Flare Blitz, but the damage drop is to notable

It should also be noted that DD also allow you to pretend you're Zard X, allowing you to lure Quagsire out in a stall team if you are packing Solar Beam, allowing back up sweepers to come in and sweep.

Will-o-Wisp is able to burn threats such as landorus and zygarde and also weaken walls such as toxapex by negating it's black sludge recovery.
Flare blitz is a powerful stab used to nuke walls and earthquake is the preferred coverage option as it allows zard-x to hit toxapex super effectively and also allowing it to KO heatran.
A jolly nature and 112 speed investment on zard x allows it to outspeed max speed adamant zygardes and cripple it with wisp.

Fire sets are fire sets. HP Ice Zard X is meant to lure out and weaken/KO Lando-T, as well as surprise Zygarde, Gliscor, and Garchomp, without taking massive recoil from Flare Blitz or rely on a Dragon-type move to hit Zyg and Chomp. This Zard usually pairs with Tapu Koko to boost its Thunder Punch, allowing it to 2HKO Toxapex. The given speed investment outspeeds Adamant Zygarde with 252 Speed EVs. Anybody who plays BSS knows this set - set up a Flame Charge on a forced switch and go wild. It's admittedly similar to the DD set in that regard, but it exchanges the ability to chunk Chansey and Pex for the ability to keep its nuclear SpA investment and less reliance on getting the boost.

General idea
Mega Charizard-X has access to the combination of SD + Tough Claws and this means that you can have a sort of LO without recoil for some contact moves, such as Flare Blitz. The combination of these 2 elements really shows the true wallbreaking potential of this monster.
Dragon Dance boosts the Spe, but you are left outsped still by many threats; the best thing should be to have both of them, such as in this case.
SD is better towards slower and bulkier teams, whereas DD allows us to have a better match-up towards HO teams (even though you sometimes need 2 DD under your belt).

This is a classic offensive spread with the Jolly nature justified even more with the lack of Dragon Dance.

Team(mates) support
Hazards control is mandatory to keep Charizard healthy when it switches into the battlefield with Stealth Rocks under your side; also, speed control allows Charizard-X to use SD more safely to wallbreak instead of opting for DD to rectify our Spe. Obviously, hazards support is also good because it allows to reduce the self-inflicted damage from our main STAB (Flare Blitz) as much as possible.
Due to the lack of Roost, even Wish support could be a nice thing to have to recharge some HP lost.

Here's some fire NJNP, the god, used on some ho back when he was more involved with the tier. I have made a slight change though - he used to run Dragon Rush, and since I've no idea what that accomplishes and it can miss, I've opted for Outrage instead to 2HKO Quagsire and Pyukumuku. Basically, the premise is you abuse the shit out of their sack - you bring Zard in on something it beats, they switch out to sack something while you SD and then get the Flame Charge boost which makes you pretty much unstoppable.

SD+TW Zard X is a set that saw a little use in late XY/early ORAS assuming my timeline isn’t fucked and it was nice because it allowed it to pick and choose what matchups it was good/bad in in a way that DD didn’t. Granted this was helped by the much higher prevalence of >100 Spe Scarf users, which are now basically nonexistent, but it does still hold a small niche over DD (or even SD+DD) in that TW can carry over onto other mons for a turn or two, meaning you can use it vs whatever when you’re about to die and give teammates a nice speed boost, which is particularly nice with stuff like TTar and Band Bulu which are massive dickheads to deal with under TW. Anyway, the big thing here is that SD is a substantially faster booster than DD, which is nice vs fatter teams that don’t immediately fold to DD Zard X and makes breaking through fatter Tran and I guess Fini kinda(?) a much less painful job than on DD Roost, among other things.

Honestly Zard is a pretty clean cut mon the only set here which is really worth using ever imo is bulky wisp and even then that’s just bc it’s the only one that isn’t a shitter variant of another set.

This set is a wallbreaker, obviously, and runs Dragon + Fire + Electric coverage, a combination with no resistances*. Max Attack and Adamant for extra meaty hits, enough speed for neutral-natured base 95's such as Zygarde and whatever runs 290 to creep them, with the rest for an odd-numbered HP value.

Outrage hits insanely hard even without a boost. If stuff like Quag isn't an issue and being locked into a move isn't preferred then Dragon Claw can be used instead. Fire Punch is used over Flare Blitz because it gets the same KOs after a boost while avoiding recoil, and Thunder Punch nails Water-types such as Toxapex and Tapu Fini. +2 Thunder Punch also 2HKOs even the bulkiest Heatran sets.

*Mega Altaria resists this combo but it's an unmon so whatever

Edit: As Demi Lovato mentioned, an unboosted Adamant Dragon Rush achieves notable KOs that Dragon Claw cannot, including a high chance to 3HKO Defensive Landorus-Therian after Stealth Rock, 2HKO Gliscor after Stealth Rock, a high chance to 2HKO Quagsire after Stealth Rock, and Specialy Defensive Toxapex. If the accuracy isn't a concern then it's a viable alternative for Dragon Claw and Outrage. This gives more flexibility to run a different move over Thunder Punch.
