Ethereal by High on Fire

Just picked these guys up, and now I can't get this song out of my head. Sludge/Stoner/Heavy. Apparently they have the same singer as Sleep, no wonder I like them.
actually Al Cisneros sang for Sleep, and Matt Pike sings for High on Fire, though they were both in Sleep. I dunno, I couldn't ever get into High on Fire as much as I like Sleep. I think it's the rhythm section that really does it for me in Sleep, so without them, the style of the music is waaay different.

Allman Brothers - Jessica

this has to be the perfect driving song

You're right, my bad. And I don't know how to describe it in technical terms, I just find High on Fire more upbeat than Sleep. High on Fire is more heavy metal, Sleep is more doom/drone. But if I'm really in the mood for doom, I go to Electric Wizard(!).

Good Girls Go Bad (ft. Leighton Meester) - Cobra Starship

I want to say they are a lame band, but their new album is a lot of fun and most of the tracks are great. Including this one...

And Leighton Meester is hot? yes.

Just Dance (Acoustic) - Lady Gaga

Just Dance
gonna be okay, down on the floor
Just Dance
spin that record babe, been here before
Just Dance
gonna scream your name, when you don't call
Just Dance, Dance, Dance

A really nice live acoustic (piano) version of Just Dance... Bit a different chorus, and the piano gives the song a more mellow and sadder tone

Yeah, Sleep is much more similar to Electric Wizard, though that's probably why I like them more - I like doom more than I like sludge.

Megadeth - Into the Lungs of Hell

similar to Fight Fire with Fire and Battery (by Metallica) in that it starts out pretty clean, and it even has a couple trumpet fanfares, and then all hell breaks loose

Pearl Jam - Tremor Christ

The lyrics to this song are just ... it deals with a man leaving a woman to drown in the ocean and he leaves off it seems.

Santana - Everybody's Everything

Being a Mexican American it is impossible to have never head of Santana, Mana, Los Lobos, or Vicente Fernandez.
