I recently saw the music video for this, I love this song and I'm not usually a fan of music videos but I liked it. I believe (think) the message the video is trying to send is that we all have those people we love, care for, and hold dear to us. One day however they start to change, they begin to do things we never thought they would do. It worries us and we want to save them but they keep choosing to do what they're doing. Sadly in the end some can't be saved and the allow their life to get eaten.
