Do you guys think that 248 HP/216 Spe/44 SpA with Timid is a good spread for RestTalk Entei? 248 is a Leftover's number plus one so I can switch into Stealth Rock five times in case I don't get a chance to Rest. 216 with Timid to outspeed positive natured base 95's, and the rest in Sp. Atk. How is it?

On the topic of stall, because of its effectiveness, people can dominate with an anti-stall team.

Rest Talk with or withou CM?

With CM, i would use 252 HP/252 def/6 sp. atk with Bold. Slapping speed into Entei is like making a inferior Raikou.
Entei really apreciates the great bulk it has (even more with Lava Plume burn rate, and Pressure).

Without CM... well, i dunno. Sorry.

Yeah, with Calm Mind. Disappointing, I thought I had finally come up with a good EV spread by myself. :< But 248 HP still works better I think.

calm mind pain split ninetails works hella better. 100 base sdef coupled with 100 speed, healing without sleeping, energy ball, and the ability to beat milotic, moltres, etc? yes please. mono entei is just rather meh. i think stellar ran... 212 speed / 252 hp / 44 sdef timid? i think. try it out with something to lure and kill dugtrio and you're pretty set!

Ohh no it doesn't. Nintetales hates Toxic, doesn't learn Lava Plume, it's not even close to be as bulky as Entei, and no Pressure.
And Entei can't beat Milotic? Only if it's a LO Milotic, if Surf crits or it has Haze (who will also beat Ninetales). Otherwise Milotic (and Moltres) is the one walled.

The only thing it has over Entei is the ability to beat Rhyperior without needing to rely on Lava Plume burn rate, since it will also lose to the physical water attackers.

Stick with NP Ninetales.

Believe me. I used both. And Entei is just better. By a mile.

PS: Dugtrio does less than 75% with Earthquake to Entei, by the way.

Entei would really help fight against the nasty Grass weakness most Stall teams have with a base 115 HP and some decent Defense at base 85 coming with a healthy base 75 Special Defense. I think it's bulkier than Raikou. Only problem is its ability to get walled easily by Water types and SR weakness. That's why I'm sticking with Raikou.

I've been thinking ... reachzero and Jabba are supposed to be voter neutral and so they only very rarely post here. In fact I've more or less read this thread from the first page and, aside from Jabba's post several pages ago warning voters what might happen if the suspects are banned, I don't remember anything other than admin stuff. Now both of them are clearly good players and almost certainly have experience with UU, except for obvious reasons they can't use their main accounts to play on the ladder. Who knows what wondrous concoctions they might've brewed but can't post about ...?

I wouldn't say easily. Countless times that i stalled Blastoises/Milotics/Lanturns with CM Rest Talk Entei ( two CM are enough to try and stall those bulky waters)... the funnier part is when they send Chansey to try and stall you, just to be set up fodder.

Try it, if you have a chance. I say it's one of the most if not the most underrated set ever.

SR is always a nuisance though.

Offensive Venusaur destroys it with Earthquake anyway. If you want to patch up your grass weakness, try Altaria, Tangrowth (if you're afraid of physical grass) or Venusaur (special grass). Stall honestly has way more problems with Fighting type attacks from fast sweepers, especially if paired with good coverage moves.

Okay.
Venusaur switches in on Slowbro's Toxic.
Venusaur uses Swords Dance. You switch to Entei. Entei is now at 81% health.
Venusaur does 76.7% - 90.5%. Entei dies most of the time. If it doesn't die, it uses Lava Plume and does 52.5% - 62.5%. Venusaur easily survives, kills you, and has enough health left to attack two more times, unless you burn it, in which case it just kills you.

So yeah, you have small chance of actually doing anything, and an even smaller chance of doing something useful. Not what I would call a "counter".

Compare this to, say, Arcanine, who does 108.3% - 128.2% with 0 ATK Flare Blitz, has Intimidate (so boosted Earthquake from Venusaur does "only" 67.7% - 79.7%), and has instant recovery in morning sun.

tl;dr don't use defensive Entei

Edit: And I don't want to seem like I'm against "gimmicks", since most of my teams involve novel and less-than-standard Pokemon/sets. But there's no point in using a Pokemon for something it sucks at or in something which another Pokemon does much better.

whats some good stall counters? And why are all the mismagius running calm mind when missy has nasty plot?

That just doesn't exist. It's just like saying Infernape fucks stall up, but then your opponent can pack Gyarados/Latias and all you can do is make a long face. Likewise in UU, some stall teams have loads of trouble against Absol for not packing Hitmontop; loads of problems against SD Ken for not packing something that can actually deal with it, like Slowbro (Milotic dies to +2 Superepower); and some have problems against Toxicroack if they don't have a bulky ghost that can burn it (SD Set) or something like fast Arcanine or Moltres, who can Flare Blitz/Flamethrower it before it can act (NP version).

Mismagius has a commendable base 105 sp def which can make her hard to take down. CM makes her even more wallish and even a special defensive pivot.

Just use Spiritomb, Arcanine, Drapion (or Umbreon) to deal with it. I remember that any stall team of an experienced player involes one Poke out of these....

I almost always prefer NP Missy to CM Missy. Basically all you need to do is send it out on a Chansey SR/S-Toss, Sub up, NP and sweep. Its counters on stall are awfully limited, and it 2HKOs every one of Spiritomb, Umbreon, and Drapion after a single boost, which is not true of the CM version.

Edit:

@ Shrang: Yeah I missed out Registeel; but it's 2HKOed by a boosted Life Orb HP Fighting nevertheless.

If anyone really hates Stall, give good old Tauntarel a try:

Bibarel @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
Nature: Careful/Impish
-Taunt
-Super Fang
-Waterfall
-Thunder Wave/Yawn/Stealth Rock

Taunt+Super Fang makes heaps of walls cry (Especially stuff like Chansey, Milotic, Registeel). This Bibarel also stop sweeps from all those Cro-Pokemon (All of you hating on Curse Umbreon, this is your lucky day!!), and also stuff like Offensive DD Altaria and Feraligatr and stuff like that (Or least hold them down enough so you can Thunder Wave and Super Fang it).

EDIT: @ IronBullet: Registeel still stops pretty much all Mismagius. Pack a Duggy when using it.

That Bibarel is rightfully owned by Venusaur and outsped by Milotic, which means it will be able to Toxic you before you use Taunt and, from there, your opponent can just go to a bulky Ghost. Speaking of Ghosts, any of them easily stop that, except for Froslass.

For Entei, there is always the chance of a burn, but I might try out a Rest-talk Arcanine with Flare Blitz and Roar instead. I think it could work.
