Since this is a discussion, let's discuss ways to deal with chansey instead of bitch about her (not trying to insult anyone), What have you found so far that can reliably shut down chansey?

Running Staraptor beats Chansey, or herracross. That's almost it. If you pair Chansey with wobifett or gligar or something else to easily take fighting and you win.

Fuck Staraptor and Chansey.

Why the hell is Wobb still in UU? The more I see of it, the more I want an emergency ban of it.

Is Brightpowder/Incense banned in UU too? If not, I can see a [insert swearword] Hail Evasion team "working".

I really don't see the big deal behind Wobb. So far people have just said "lol Wobb broken" and haven't given any reasoning as to why. Wobb has been kind of underwhelming in my opinion. It dies more often than one thinks, can't recover, and only works against pure attacking pokemon (set up sweepers kill it and walls kill it due to the fact that encore sucks)

The feeling of utter helplessness when you can't do anything to stop your Pokemon dying - the fact that it guarantees kills assuming your opponent has a choice Pokemon of any kind - with Tickle it can get free kills on defensive Pokemon with Pursuit trappers (or even Dugtrio). You can't even prepare for it because it's not like you can switch in your counter. The encore nerf hurts it but not enough to make it not broken: I've found that encore only doesn't work on Pokemon with sub, as you can still bring in something freely and go for the KO.

It's utterly retarded.

I think Staraptor is the most broken thing in the metagame right now, since it just kills everything. Honestly, people have to start using the subroost set more often, it allows staraptor to stay in the game a lot longer and it sets up on some interesting pokemon, such as Deoxys D and non offensive mews
Also, has anyone noticed how awesome mismagius is? I mean it doesn't give a crap about chansey and sets up on choiced pokes locked into a move it is immune to and keeps you hazards up thanks to it just being a ghost. It really has swept more teams than any other poke on my team
As for wobb, I've found it pretty underwhelming, though I haven't run into that many. I can see how it can get frustrating if I run into someone who really abuses it well though...

Swords Dance Sucker Punch Celebi is the best pokemon in the tier right now. It laughs at Chansey, Staraptors and Victinis. I encourage everyone to try it. Watch out for Escavalier and Honchkrow though. I figured I'd share my set before I post it in the Celebi analysis I'm writing, maybe this will slow the cries of "broken!" that are already being posted in a metagame that has existed for two hours.

Meh. Glad drought and kyurem are gone; now UU is playable.

I think people will see that victini without sun is not OP or suspect. SO many bulky waters... that's what keep victini in check.

Chansey.. just too damn bulky. The reason why it fell to UU is because the usage of it and blissey (they are very similar) are split up due to 2 options being available.... it should always have been OU. Since they are almost exactly the same (one having more def, the other having lefties) their usage should almost be combined... maybe.

Shellsmash + batonbass, IDK. Not sure

Mew, not suspect now but should be in the future I think.

Staraptor, i don't think so. Glasscannon that hurts itself when it attacks.

I want to know where the fuck Subperior went. It switches into (easily avoiding the 2HKO) and can set up a sub on (usually on the switch) Victini, Choiced Staraptor, Crobat, Spiritomb, Dusclops, Ambipom, CB Arcanine, Scarf Cross's Megahorn, Deoxys, Chansey, Registeel, Snorlax, etc, and can then put a huge dent in your opponents bulky waters (if its Empoleon, it dies), and can generally keep most Physical attacker in check.

because nobody uses any of the threats you mentioned or those threats OHKO serperior. I don't think it lives CB Brave Bird (or non-cb, for that matter) from staraptor nor Heracross's Megahorn.

EDIT: I swear I am a fucking idiot

Also, @ Wobb: it will be banned anyway once the encore glitch is fixed.

Subperior = Rhyperior, lol.

I said it in the last topic, and I'll say it here.

Banning Shell Smash + Baton Pass is a silly complex ban that over-complicates the tiering system. There are only three Pokemon capable of the combo, Smeargle, Gorebyss, and Huntail. Moving these 3 Pokemon to BL would be much simpler than moving "Shell Smash + Baton Pass" to BL. How will moving a combination of two moves to BL be classified in the Strategy Pokedex when it is finally updated?

I agree.

However, I think the very concept of Smashpass being broken is absurd. If the fact that not a single Smashpasser is even in UU isn't proof enough of that, then I don't know what is. Sure it can sweep entire teams, but so can Trick Room Marowak. It is a risky, and somewhat gimmicky strategy that is not good enough to ban. If it is so good, why are those Pokemon not even used?

Also, the same kinda think can be said for Wobbs. Though if and when the Encore glitch is fixed, that may change.

Come on, guys. Chansey's way better than Mew and SmashPass at the very least <.<

I also like how the sentences system is actually exactly the same as the paragraph system except without the burden of the huge essay precedents that were set before. All because of a change in terminology...

This man knows

Chansey needs to gtfo... staraptor too probably

Okay, these are my impressions after plenty of laddering:

- Chansey is Chansey. Running an all physical team and it still manages to piss me off on occasion by either sponging Flare Blitz/Brave Bird and causing my poke to suicide or walling absurd shit like CB Arcanine Close Combat and then paralyzing it.

- Staraptor is pretty fucking broken too. I've been using SubLO Staraptor and it completely wrecks teams, to the point where people would rather sacrifice whatever they have in every time it comes in than let it set up (which works fine for me). The Scarf set marries absurd power with absurd speed, and the CB set is literally impossible to wall.

- I've started running a few different Pokemon to deal with Staraptor. I'm running Durant with enough HP to avoid being ohko'd by Scarfraptor's Brave Bird, and also outspeeds CB Raptor. Durant is just extremely underrated in general, and I'm sad to see so few people using it.
I'm also running CB Rhyperior, which has exceeded my expectations by a pretty large amount (protip: Pair with CB Escavalier for lulz). Use with Rock Blast for sub-breaking fun.

- I've run into a lot of smashpass teams. Anything with a choice band/specs really fucks them up, in my experience. Gorebyss and Huntail have decent defenses, but the recipients tend to be frail as hell, meaning you can ohko them right there. Similarly, wobby has not been giving me much trouble at all, although I can see why some people want it gone.

- Been seeing more and more rain teams, as well as some hail. My rain team is ridiculously effective, to the point where I've stopped using it for now until people are more prepared for it. I'm not sure they ever will be though - there is so much in the metagame that properly preparing for rain is nearly impossible for offense. Stall does just fine against it, however. Thinking of making a hail team to see how that goes.

I've had games with Escavalier or LO Mamoswine at full health as the last Pokemon left V. Chansey... and lost... and not even on hax, just because of Megahorn's accuracy or because somehow the 3rd strongest EQ in the game wasn't enough to 2HKO it when boosted by LO.

To me, that's bull shit.

Staraptor and chansey need to go
This. I was incredibly disappointed by the voting turn-out this round. All these broken suspects and only Kyurem and Drought get moved to BL. We have another round of Victini and Staraptor and about two more rounds of Chansey to put up with now.

Ok, my initial thoughts:

Yeah, Chansey still the best wall in the game (not Special wall, just Wall), but i run my ParaCloak Froslass that can easily put a sub on her nose and T-wave whatever that come (or if it's Ground just Blizzard it's ass), letting me set three layes of spikes with ease (which make chansey so much easier to deal with) and then just paralysing the whole team (since Wish-protect usually doesn't carry hell bell), it has a fair amount of rage-quits so far, and paralysing a SS realy makes tehm stupidly easy to kill since all of them are week/neutral to ice/ground (ironic since they are all Water type)

Staraptor is broken, yeah, you HAVE to sacrifice something just to have the option of taking him out, no the normal suicide set is just stupidly hard, but easy to revenge (really easy if you get him trapped in a immunity and he has to deal with rocks + hail), but the SubRoost set hits estupidly hard and has reliable recovery, the few thing that can actually wall him are zapdos and rotom, and both will take some damage (thanks SR) before forcing him out, just stupid

SmashPass, not broken, really, anything that calls itself a wall or a phazer shoudn't have a problem with it, with espeon gone i can only see SmashPass even less broken than last round, yeah it's powerful, but is a one time thing, since if your opponent is dumb enough to let you use it twice (now without mental herb) with no consecuences, then you could have won with any good team

Mew, great, but not really AWESOME, still, most of the time he passes, so i might not have been seen the best of her

PS: Durant is unreliable without Hone Claws, so even if it's good, it need a HC to do serious damage, altough it's great in speed and everything he is not gonna be a good stop 20% of the time (40 if you use stone edge against raptor)

PSS: actually if supermajority kicks chansey she goes next round, altough that might be a little difficult
